   App repeatedly freezes; nonfunctional. This iPad version of app repeatedly freezes after opening, making it, obviously, unusable. It has done so over many months and several app updates. Developer response earlier in 2023 stated that they knew about the problem. Still unresolved. Periodically it will allow a new pdf creation, but once one exits the creation mode and returns to the list of docs, no doc will open and no additional doc can be created. I used this iPad app for years because it was easier to see images imported into pdf creations than on iPhone.The iPhone version continues to work smoothly. I don’t get why this issue with the essential function of app is not addressed.

   Lost Data. First review ever. Installed the developer’s solution to loosing data after an update. It restored some of the data but not all of it. Lost past 6 weeks worth of work. This is unacceptable. Why am I a beta tester for a paid app? They are awful because my important data may be permanently lost. Please avoid this app at all costs.

    WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?. Bought this app about a year ago and it was perfect as-is however every new update takes away from what made me love it, and now this last update is ridiculous. When uploading, I used to be able to fill in the “Title” portion so easily by simply clicking the “x” and typing what I needed. Now the “x” is gone and I have to delete everything individually, and then every time I type, a period is being placed after the last thing I type, when I hit the space bar. This app is becoming a waste of time. Can we please stop trying to reinvent the wheel when the ride commenced so smoothly??

    Why do apps do this?. Why do you ask to rate your app immediately after the purchase? It’s annoying. Let me use it awhile first. I’m sure the programming can be updated to recognize how long and how much an app has been used.

    The app is cutting off before I can send a copy of the scanned doc.. If this can’t be fixed, the app is useless. If it can be fixed, the app is fine. Okay, I updated and it works fine.

    You must run apple mail to use this app. I travel for work. My scanner/ printer malfunctioned . I assumed that for a paid app that I could buy it and get back to work. Not true. You must set up apple mail to use this app. If you aren’t compatible with apple mail , then it won’t work. This is Ann app for young people who enjoy multiple mail services, passwords, and consuming productive time with apps and downloads Completely disappointed I wish I could get a refund

    Not a fan of latest update. Been using Genius Scan for years, but this latest update has made me want to start looking elsewhere. It’s nowhere near as user friendly as it has been in the past and there are too many additional steps needed to be performed for what used to be a simple fast task. Developers need to offer ways in settings to streamline the interface back to the old way.

    Rip off!. I purchased this app in 2014 for a ridiculous 10 dollars and now on my new iPad they want me to pay 2.99 a month for it!

    Going to a subscription model. Uugh, another great app ruined by the supposed “cloud model”. This version now has a Sync link below their main documents header which cannot be turned off, and nags you to use their cloud based subscription services which I neither want or need. Pity, I guess it’s time to say goodbye to an otherwise great app, and look elsewhere for a non subscription based scanner.

    UPDATED - Essential for the Business Traveler. May 2018 New update completely screwed up user flow. I’m manageable - too clunky. After 10 + years, deleted. 2015 50 weeks a year for the past 8 years - this app is a staple in my Swiss army folder of must have travel apps.

    Dropbox privacy invasion. I connected this app to my Dropbox so I could send documents to my computer, and with the new update all of the images from my Dropbox have been uploaded to my phone on this app. For security reasons, I do not want documents from my computer moved to my phone, and furthermore this was done without my consent.

    Better before. I have been using Genius Scan + for years. I have recommended this for my sales team as well. I will need to look for a new app after the changes. I scan receipts quickly and send to my e-mail so I have copies while traveling. I typically need to do some editing before sending. I rarely need to save anything on the phone. Now, there are far too many steps to edit and send the e-mail. This is a very disappointing change. It would have been better to give us the option to keep it working as it was. I would be happy to pay again for that option.

    Should fire the person in charge of UX. Used to be a very easy and straight forward app. For an utility app the key is to get the job done as quickly as possible but I guess somehow the app is gradually going on the reverse direction with all the unnecessary tap requires to scan and upload a document. I would strongly recommend an internal review of the UX.

    Unable to find files.. Looking for important documents that I had saved, I get the message on genius scan, that it wasn't saved. Why? I had saved it to an "Older" version of "Genius" scan.

    Instantly Crashes. I open the app, try to take a picture and BOOM the thing crashes. Tried uninstalling an reinstalling and nothing. Useless.

    Not improving. I’ve stuck with this app from the beginning. However, I’m ready to switch. It’s not that it doesn’t work but that it doesn’t work easily. When I have to scan a group of documents it is a serious pain. It doesn’t recognize the borders of the documents anymore, and the “auto” edit isn’t auto and the curvature correction has to be turned on for every individual scan. Why aren’t the settings remembered over all docs? As it is I have to go into each scanned page and clean up everything, crop, image edit, and curvature. This is tiresome. And last and least, the scan button is on the far left bottom which makes scanning with one hand difficult.
