Won’t refund an Annual Sub after 1 day.. I signed up for iLovePDF Premium expecting a streamlined PDF workflow, but the product is surprisingly frustrating to use. Almost every action exports a new file, forces you into a new folder, and breaks your workflow by opening new tabs and restarting the process. Instead of allowing compound actions or efficient editing, it constantly generates multiple versions of the same file. It turns what should be simple tasks into a cluttered, inefficient mess. The interface also feels oddly rigid compared to other modern PDF tools. Even basic usability things—like being able to move the toolbar to the right side to match common design patterns—aren’t available. What really pushed this into one-star territory was the billing experience. The service advertises “cancel anytime” and implies satisfaction guarantees, but when I asked to cancel shortly after subscribing because the product didn’t meet expectations, they refused to refund the annual payment. Instead, support simply pointed me to the terms and conditions. That combination of clunky workflow design + inflexible billing practices makes this feel pretty disingenuous. There are far better PDF tools out there that respect both your time and your customers. I canceled and won’t be coming back.

Newer scanning issues. iLovePDF was my go-to for scanning files but recently, the scan to pdf qr code just hasn’t been working the same! I scan it but instead of opening the app it opens the app store even though I have the app downloaded already. And to actually get it to work I have to delete the app off my home screen and redownload it just for it to break again and have to repeat these steps the next day… I hope this can be fixed so I can continue using it the way I remember!!

Very Frustrating. The app is finicky and glitchy. I downloaded it because I wanted to add text to some sheet music. I spend about an hour (would have been about 20 minutes if the text editing was better) working on it. I go to export it, and I am greeted with a screen telling me that I need to pay for a monthly subscription in order to save. I don’t think that you should have to pay to simply edit pdfs, but I specifically don’t think you should pay $5 a month for this terrible one.

Litmited editing Capability. Cant print from IlovePDF so you still need a thridparty PDF app. Unable to edit existing text. This is really a read-only app and good for unlocking pdf.

deceptive. apparently you cannot merge pdfs or add an image to an existing pdf, that's only free like once or twice. That was the ONLY reason I downloaded this app.

Frequently crashes; offline PDF’s disappear. Using this app on a 6 generation iPad (more than enough processing power and RAM to handle this). Trying to make notes and add photos to a 200 page PDF. I use it offline as I inspect apartments (so, no cellular or WiFi). This app frequently crashes, and it loses the PDF that I have in my Favorite/Recent. sometimes annotations aren’t saved and are lost. I’m using the free version and would never consider buying unless they fix this buggy mess. Moving on to a different app - I recommend others do as well. *UPDATE - dev wants me to contact them, but I don’t have time to be an unpaid beta tester.

Free PDF Merger is NOT Free!. I downloaded this because of reviews that lead me here. Just once did it allow me to merge multiple files into one PDF. After that it would grey out any new files I tried to combine. The only thing you could interact with was the button for "Premium". Immediate paywall. I get it, you want to be paid, but be honest! This is not free!
