   Popup hell. Asks for review every time I add an entry. I had a lot of entries to add. Leaving a review did not stop it.

   More bugs. It’s been acting up a lot more than usual lately. Specially, when needing to generate a new login and/or alias from a pop-up window. It’s unusable. Either the pop-up automatically closes or the keyboard goes missing. I am forced to open leave what i was doing, create the new login, and autofill the rest.

   Absolutely Useless. This app provides no way to import passwords from an iOS device. If you are using only an iPhone, there is no way to import the files the you can export from safari. The instructions tell you to download another browser that supports the proton extensions, but apple doesn’t allow extensions on any third party browsers. Beyond that, it doesn’t look like the app syncs with the native iPhone PW manager, so if ai visit a website and create a new password, I have to do a manual entry into this app every time? What am I paying for here. Hot garbage in a pretty package.

   Forcing me to sign in every time I open app. The title pretty much says it all: ever since a recent update, I’m having to sign in every time the app terminates, which is very fast on iOS since it forces apps to close to preserve battery. ALSO using keychain doesn’t work: I get a blank view from which I can’t exit.

   I hate the app!. I can’t find anywhere to type in my recovery phrase to try to unlock one of my previous vaults after a password reset. You have to have a computer to do it!!!!

   Cant even use it. I use a vpn and it wont even let me make an account because it says my network traffic is being detected as abusive. Im not using your vpn, but for a company that is used to vpns youd think this wouldnt be a problem…

    Constant bugs and no support. The app is full of bugs on both mobile and desktop — attachments won’t open, and it keeps crashing on iPad. I reported the issues multiple times but no one fixed them, and the refund request was refused. Very disappointing experience.

    No local vault support. Update: now I get errors after logging in. Lost the few passwords I had stored in here. Luckily it was just a backup. Do not recommend. Does not support local vaults. Still. I want local vaults I can store on iCloud Drive. Or vaults that support iCloud syncing.

    Absolutely useless. The least intelligent password manager that I have used. I made the decision to switch from 1Password to ProtonPass and started to regret the decision shortly thereafter. It fails to identify that it should be autofilling a username and password more often that it does autofill a username and password, which is a basic functionality that you would expect to have. I am constantly having to go into the app, search for the login, and copy and paste the password into another app or my browser. Terrible when it comes to autofilling your credit card details. It absolutely fails in this regard every time. Automatically defaults to your Proton Mail email address and there is no way to change it. I am constantly having to fill in my email address manually because it will only suggest my ProtonMail address. Safe to say that this was money BURNED and I cannot wait to get rid of this goddamn password manager.

    No iOS Safari extension support. Having been on the lookout for a fully integrated iOS password manager, I was really hoping this would be it. I heard great things, saw the excellent reviews, and immediately bought a 3-year subscription, only to discover that unfortunately, it lacks iOS extension support for iPhone and iPad. Consequently, I'll be cancelling my account to request a refund and will gladly update my review to 5 stars once full iOS Safari support is introduced.

    Obese App that Gobbles your iPhone's Storage. This app was created by scientists from CERN - the organization responsible for the Large Hadron Collider - so it's no wonder it carries a similarly MASSIVE footprint, weighing in at a staggering half gigabyte(!). This is laughably large compared to ANY other password manager in existence on ANY platform, full stop. What could possibly justify this? Maybe it's bloated with built-in ads? Whatever the reason, it denotes carelessness on the part of the developers. It's just not a good look. Indeed, we should feel grateful that most other apps are unlike this one and do not rapidly devour the expen$ive storage on our iPhones.

    Begs for money. It told me I couldn’t autofill my password because my “plan” didn’t support it. Absolute trash. Going back to Bitwarden. I’m not paying monthly for a password manager. You can forget it. I don’t understand why you and other modern-day companies think that people have money to waste. Making house payments on an application is profoundly idiotic. Take your money that other stupid, gullible customers paid you, and shove it.

    Not usable. I have a proton account, went to proton pass, signed in, downloaded the app, and even got a notification from protonmail that I signed up. However, every time I open the proton pass app it says “user is not a pass user” and I can’t go anywhere else or click anything expect for refresh. The app is unusable.

    Generating new passwords is awful. I just tried to change a password on my main credit card. I clicked generate. It generated something but didn’t show it to me. I couldn’t copy and paste. It din’t update my current listing for that account and it didn’t generate a new entry. Now I can’t get into that account. This keeps happening! Your support page offered nothing. I’m about ready to switch. Update: I migrated to Proton Pass from Last Pass because of increased security. I’ve had difficulties though as it operates very differently. I can only do copy and paste under certain conditions. It can’t be done when generating a new password for a new or existing entry. I’ve started using a different website to generate strong passwords so I can copy and paste it into the website and Proton Pass. LastPass will enter a newly generated password automatically in the record for that website and on the website itself- twice as it is required.

    Unethical and abusive billing — stay away. Proton engages in heavily unethical and aggressively misleading billing practices. Stay far away if you want a company that deals you in an honest and respectful manner. They traffic in marketing around privacy but actually engage in extremely abusive behavior.

    Plans. Proton, your plans are impossible to understand. I want to create a credit card entry, but it tells me to upgrade. When I tap upgrade it says I have all the features. Can’t find your plans on your site. Can’t find them in the app. Can’t upgrade. Why is this so difficult? You really need to work on your usability if you want to gain and retain customers.

    Well, this is definitely one to avoid. I’ve used protonmail for a while, but will be moving away. It turns out there’s support in the app, but I’m not sure it’s going to work out. For this password manager, it is really bad on the iPad. It can’t even create a password strong enough for tractor supply, and as I tried to correct it it made multiple duplicates in my vault.

    Not Recommended for 2FA. If you decide you no longer want to pay, make sure you change all of your 2FA because this app wont let you see the codes after the membership ends. Had to pay another month to access most of my accounts.
