   Slower more bloated, ads cover screen won't go away. Terrible! Unresponsive and bloated like its fascist greedy oligarch owner Bozo. Won’t retain settings, bookmarks, faves etc. Increasingly slooooow slower, unresponsive, more buffering, stalling. Unwanted Ads or ad frames cover half to 3/4 of the screen often and can't get rid of them! Getting bloated and far Worse over time. Ruined a decent app. Virtually unusable on iPhone SE iOS 17.7 after recent unnecessary updates. Bloatware.

   Sign in every 2-3 days? Ridiculous!. Giving 1 star for ridiculous login process. I shouldn’t have to sign in constantly.

   Search and input nonexistent. I put reviews in. I’ve been a member of this app for a long time and you don’t even know if they’re gonna put it in place your input or rating. I’ve seen it when I’ve added when they show only has let’s say 10 reviews and I do a rating that would I change the overall rating according to mathematics but nothing happens. It seems they incorporate reviews if it meets their needs. Also the search function is ridiculous. I was just looking at a show that’s on history channel and I typed in exactly what the name of the show is nothing comes up. This happens all the time. It seems their database is lame to say the least. I’m gonna look for another app because this place is biased and lacks information that is needed for the TV and movie viewer no stars for this frigging app.

   Was helpful once. I used to use this app all the time. Then for some reason they made it so it would no longer run on my older phone. It’s a database of tv and movies. A database. The most complicated thing it does is play movie trailers. Why on earth does it need the newest iOS version? You are asking me to pay hundreds of dollars to get a newer phone just to use a database. No thank you. App deleted from my phone. Maybe someday you’ll figure out how to make a simple app that runs on everyone’s phones.

   Review bombers. Action should be taken toward obvious review bombs, like for example if something is mostly 10/10, nothing in between, and then a bunch of 1/10, thats how you find review bombs. Plz do something about that. Bring that one episode (wont say which) back to 10.00

    Broken. Ive been using imdb since inception and the iPhone and ipad apps have never been worse. In past few months they have been crashing more and more frequently & now it’s completely unusable.

    No Boolean Search Still. Seems like something that should be really easy to implement. Type in an actor, type in a director, anything they’ve done together is returned. Would be super helpful

    Bad. I think they’ve integrated some useless ai into the app because as of the last couple months the search function is fundamentally broken. IMDb is sadly deteriorating into uselessness.

    From Love to Hate. IMDb app had been a daily enjoyable fixture for me. With these giants ads now? Congrats. You’ve got me annoyed and really starting to hate using this app. You’re alienating your users. Cut it out.

    Piece of junk. I have to reboot the app after every single movie search. It will successfully search for one movie, load that page, and then literally anything else causes the app to load until it crashes. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, logged out, stayed logged out, logged in, everything. They broke the app months ago, and there has been no improvement since. It’s infuriating to use. I’m deleting this junk from my phone and moving on. Been using it for over a decade. What a shame to see it crash out.

    Forced sign up?. I use this app from time to time but now they are trying to force me to sign up just to read some reviews… not to post but view reviews. I’ll wait till the next update to see if I will delete this app and go back to rottentomatoes and other similar sites.

    Can’t see reviews. Really? I can see needing an account to leave a review, but why to just see them? Between that and the ever increasing amount of adds on this app I’ve just deleted it.

    Ruined it. Used to use this all the time. Then you locked VIEWING reviews behind an Amazon account. You're not getting any more of my data because of an account. I will find alternative sources.

    Hate the new update as of 06/01/26. I can’t even read reviews now unless I sign in?? Ridiculous. I’ve been using IMDb on a daily basis since the early 2000’s and it’s gone way downhill.

    Just keeps getting worse. First the search bar placement sucks on VoiceOver, now I cannot even read reviews with being prompted to create an account. Nor can I smoothly use this app with out an intrusive ad. It is like they want us to move to another application. Off to Rotten Tomatoes…

    Constant full page ads. Have used this app for years and have to delete now due to constant full page ads that I can’t bypass. I just opened the app, started to search an actor, and immediately got hit with 3 full screen, unskippable, back to back ads for DoorDash. I couldn’t even complete the search and had to close the app. IMDb…. No amount of ad money is worth you guys ruining this app for your loyal visitors.

    Why ads now. I have been a long time IMDb lover, I use this app almost daily to check facts and statistics about shows and movies I watch and the actors in them. I tell friends and family about it when they ask cinema questions so they can also enjoy it. BUT TODAY I OPENED THE APP AND GOT A FULL PAGE AD I HAD TO VIEW AND DISMISS. Please don’t turn into every other company out here cramming unwanted advertising down the throats of your users. If this is a permanent thing I will be deleting my account, getting my information from elsewhere, and will no longer recommend you to anyone.
