   HORRIBLE customer “service”. I used to have an account with Stockpile (which was free) and they sold to Stash (which is not free) so now my account is there. Ever since it transferred I have been unable to access my account. It has been MONTHS. I’ve had to provide copies of my passport, my W2 etc and now all I get is “our engineering team is working on it”. There is no way to speak to anyone. It is outrageous. I haven’t been able to check my balance, make trades, nothing. Stay far far away.

   Better platforms. Have used a lot better platforms this is not a good app to use for stocks much better ones out that you can transfers money quicker and make more from. This app has made me loose money

   Price increase for small investors. I’ve been a loyal customer for years. I enjoyed Stash and built my account by investing just $5 a week. The new subscription price doesn’t reflect the value I receive. I won’t use the premium features, so I’m moving my investments to another brokerage.

   300% increase for subscribers. Have been a stash paid subscriber for almost 7 years. They raised my subscription 300%. I can’t do business with a company willing to do that. In the process of pulling all of my money out.

   Worse with every update. Each of the last few updates have made this app worse. Why are you removing more and more displayable portfolio information with every update? Basic info like your total net percentage gain/loss has been removed, and is now only viewable on the website. The newer UI is just so much more confusing compared to what it used to be.

   Turned into a scam. When I first started using this app years ago, I loved it, and recommended it to everyone; it felt like the perfect introduction to the stock market for casual investors. Over the years, customer support has gotten worse and service fees have increased. Now, in 2026, I’ve gotten an email saying fees will increase to $12/month, with new “services” that I will never use. (A $10K life insurance policy? With a company that hasn’t replied to a single one of my e-mails in the last 5 years? Hard pass.) Stash is very obviously banking on the average casual investor not paying close attention to their monthly bill, and paying more than they earn in interest annually. From what I’ve read online, trying to transfer is also a nightmare. I’ll be selling my Stash investments and closing my account before the monthly $12 kicks in - sad to see what this app has become.

   Exorbitant Fee Increase. I’d had a Stash account for 8 years until today. They decided to quadruple their fees. They increased my plan from $3/month to $12/month. That’s a crazy jump, especially in today’s economy when your services don’t come close to offering that much value.

   Closing the Stash account!. I have been with Stash from the very beginning, almost 10 years. I recently moved my funds to a different brokerage. All my funds are out of Stash, but they refuse to close my account so they can get another charge for a yearly subscription payment! Support doesn’t even read your emails, they just respond with a blanket answer. I’m moving my assets. The app has been bought by a company in Singapore.

    Don’t do it. They charge you a monthly subscription fee to let them lose your money playing the stock market. Then when you cancel if you have any money left they take that too and say it’s for unpaid service fees.

    SUPPORT SUCKS. Let’s start with the app and when you upload money how it does not give you any confirmation I mistakenly uploaded money more than once and they locked my account, they asked for me to verify my bank I sent a screenshot, they then asked me to send a PDF I send a PDF, then they asked me to send it from the associated email address even though they were communicating with me through my other email to begin with under the same supporting ticket number. But finally I called to follow up and they tell me that my account is restricted now after I just jumped through hoops and hurdles to validate my account. As a business/financial institution you only have one job so I would think your support backing would be better and you will at least have some type of logic. -5 STARS.

    I hate this app. First - STASH does not have all the stocks other brokerages do. If you put your money here then want to put it towards a specific stock then good luck… it may not be on STASH. I moved some money into the ROTH account some years back. Every time I wanted to move money - it reminds me to be careful because if I’m younger than 59.5 I may incur penalties. I’m 9 days from 60. SHUT UP ABOUT YOUR SCARE TACTICS. They document 50 hundred thousand ways to get your money deposited IN, but OUT? It’s like I’m talking to dumb and dumber. I’m so frustrated with them I’m ready to CLOSE my entire account when all I wanted was to withdraw more than their stupid restrictions. Their AI said remember retirement accounts are for the future and why was I withdrawing all my money? First of all… none of you damn business, but I responded this way. THE FUTURE IS NOW! IM WITHDRAWING ALL THE MONEY FROM STASH BECAUSE YOU ALL MAKE IT SO EFFING HARD TO GET MONEY OUT. I FEEL LIKE I WOULD HAVE AN EASIER TIME GETTING MONEY FROM A NIGERIAN PRINCE. STOP REMINDING ME ABOUT 59.5 YOU KNOW IM ALMOST 60. GIVE ME MY MONEY!

    Why. Not sure why but use to use stockpile. Amazing app I never had problems with, however after they transferred to this app it has been the biggest headache. Why when I’m actively doing stuff in my account does it log me out to the login page. And it’s my uncles account he set up for me so it is very annoying to get a code to keep logging in when I’ve never asked to app to sign me out.

    Poor login. The login system made me login three times before it let me into the system but the system had no problem trying to advertise a new capability. Don’t advertise before you let me into my account!!!!!

    Investing. This app doesn’t have the option to do Options Trading on Stash. They don’t operate in real time either! Why does it take hours to fulfill an order after selling or buying? It literally makes ppl lose money when it takes hours to fulfill an order! Will Stash ever get this option to do Options Trading? I wish there was a better view of the real stock market! I don’t like that there’s no red or green candle sticks. I don’t like being charged $10 when the app is limited on what I can do on Stash. There’s other apps which are free & I can do a whole lot more!

    Disappointed. I’ve loved stash for a long time now, but this new price hike is really making me rethink continuing to use this app. It’s being toted as so many new features and blah blah blah. I didn’t ask for them and after looking through them, don’t even want any of them. I’ve used Stash for investing for years. I don’t suddenly want to use Stash to manage an IRA, I sure don’t want another debit card, I don’t need custodial investment accounts, and I certainly don’t want AI telling me about my money. But being roped into a 300% price increase for “tools” that I’ll never use is BS.

    Good but not great. It provides all the needed features to trade but we cannot do day trading, also once placed order get executed at a certain time, nowhere mentioned the time.

    They are removing features, adding premiums. They just removed the calculated % gain/loss value, the best and easier way to assess how is your overall portfolio is doing. Having to calculate on my own the gain/loss is ridiculous. They just lunched managed portfolios for with a premium subscription and I now feel they are trying to make harder it for advanced users.
