   Stick with Lyft/Uber for protection. Business model is interesting. Customer Service/Support sucks. They take weeks to respond to your issue/concern. Make sure your personal insurance includes rideshare. They had a Q&A session and the guy answering the questions seemed to be misleading, poor eye contact and stumbling. This app won’t last long. They cut to many corners.

   No features.. This app hasn’t updated features in years. You can’t block riders. You can’t rate riders. You can’t see their ratings. This is a must for drivers. You think we wanna drive crack heads? Dangerous people ? All it’s gonna take is one driver being shot to ruin the entire company. Add more features.

   Scam. They blocked me the same day of opening the account because their customer service is inefficient and still without having approved the account. Good luck to the drivers

   Deleting both my accounts today. I’d been looking for an alternative to Uber/Lyft’s terrible platforms and I had hoped that Empower would be a robust contender. I signed up after hearing success stories from a friend who currently drives for them. Unfortunately I am stuck in the onboarding process and there is zero communication from the Empower team besides automated messages. The underdeveloped UI and lack of support has made the past few days feel like pulling teeth. Adding to the frustration is the fact that I’ve already used Empower as a rider and the ride quality was wildly inconsistent. Less than 10 rides and already had to “thumbs down” at least two drivers that picked me up. One vehicle was literally falling apart and unsafe to be on the road and the other driver turned around and demanded to see my phone before I exited the vehicle. He was aggressive and insisted on it. He made up some excuse along the lines of checking the settings on MY phone on MY side of the Empower App and wanted me to physically hand him the phone. I think he was trying give himself a “thumbs up” to artificially boost his rating. How are these guys on the road when I can’t even get activated? I’ve recommended Empower to other rideshare drivers and passengers in the past, but I’m done after this. As a rider, I’m gambling with my safety and I guess I’m just not welcome as a driver. Deleting both my Empower driver and rider account. Back to being a slave for Uber, I guess.

   Bad App, Bad Service – A Dangerous Platform That Shifts All Risk to Drivers. Empower Driver promises 100% of the fare and zero commission, but delivers something far riskier. • No insurance whatsoever. Empower openly states they do not provide any coverage for drivers or passengers. Your personal auto policy likely excludes rideshare use, leaving you 100% personally liable for any accident, injury, or damage.  • Legal risks: The app faces ongoing lawsuits and bans in major cities like NYC and DC for operating without proper licensing and insurance. Drivers risk fines, license suspension, and lawsuits.  This is not empowerment — it’s shifting all liability onto you while the company collects subscription fees. Think twice before driving or riding. Your safety and financial future are worth far more than a few extra dollars per trip. Highly not recommended.

    Scam. It’s scam. They to much charge from drivers , I picked up $49.99 monthly subscription plan and empower charged me $149.99 for it. It was supposed to be$49.99 . This is totally unfair. You guys scamming us with this.

    Fare problem. First issue doesn’t have enough customers , second it doesn’t look drivers receive 100% fare there is a lot of confusing fee , I think it’s much better to get their percentage , with these crazy I couldn’t see any deferent between it and uber/lyft still scumming drivers 😡

    horrible customer service. Does not respond to messages.. I deleted my app a year ago because I was not getting rides. I want to reinstall it and my account is deleted. I have contacted them no less than five times and nobody has responded. I leave messages on the phone, and I've sent multiple emails. They are not great great with customer service. They are on par with Uber for poor customer service. I just watched somebody to contact me.

    Needs massive improvement. I like driving with empower but their app is like a dinosaur era development. There is no built in GPS. There is no customer rating. There is no option to use location data while using the app. There is no option to disable notification even when the driver is not online. Why is there a dispute charge and stripe payment fee when no other platform charges this amount. And finally why there is no live driver support.

    Poor customer service. I have been trying to drive with empower for about a year now . Every time I contact customer service it takes a long time for them to respond . I did my background check and the app is still telling me that I have to do a background check and all the customer service representative keeps telling me is clock the drive now button and it should trigger a background check ground check link via email . And they say check my spam folder . Well I been clicking the drive now button for about a year and checking my spam folder and regular email daily and have yet to receive anything and every time I contact customer service I get the same EXACT redundant email . Clock drive now button and it will trigger a email and check your spam folder that’s so frustrating whatever happens to being able to talk to someone on the phone . If you can’t provide help over the phone please be professional,proficient, knowledgeable, and be able to resolve issues quickly with telling me to do something the less 10 reps told me to do . Is anyone chilling my file or my log history of how many times I contacted support this is crazy smfh

    Drives you crazy. Was a new driver but there is no customer service. App was locked without any notices for no reason just after the free trial was over and no explanation at all to why. No response to emails or phone.
