   Poor App Integration Design Choice. Registers as a background receiver, so the recipes are imported silently and stored before you see anything. They are then hard to find when you go to the app. ReciMe has a much better design.

   Not Allowing Account Deletion. The app is not allowing me to successfully complete my account deletion. It stays on the loading screen endlessly after I select “Delete Account.” I encourage you to submit a complaint to the Consumer Privacy Protection Bureau, as I did, if you’re also experiencing your “right to deletion” being impeded.

   No thanks.. This app was a big waste of time. Was not very intuitive to figure out how to use, many in-app links didn’t work. The most useful feature is the recipe scan and I have to pay per scanned recipe? No thanks.

   Don't subscribe to Pro; features are worthless. Downgraded my subscription today. The recipe scan feature is worthless. Incorrect transcriptions 20 times, asking to resubmit. Just use a scanning app on your phone.

   Useless on my phone. I used to use this app a lot. It was pretty straightforward. I would find a recipe that looked good, look through it, and do this for several recipes to find the best one. Now, when I try to find a recipe, I click on the picture and it brings up so many ads I can’t see anything on my phone screen. When I try to click next, it just sends me to someone’s website, and it’s almost impossible to find the cooking instructions. I gave up and will search for a better app.

    Scan feature does not work. I get this app mainly for the bragged about scan feature. It won’t even open up the camera to take the picture. Does not work.

    Misleading. I got this app to consolidate my recipes and add more. In your description you say you can scan recipes, but no where is it mentioned you must pay additional to use it. I ordered gift cards for my daughters to download this app. I told them to look at other apps. I going back to my free app which is just as good if not better. I will add some online recipes but won’t make it my main app.

    Only good if you “Go Pro” for $25 per year. I started with Big Oven long ago and painstakingly added all my family recipes. Now I cannot even add notes to my own recipes without paying for the “Pro” version at $3.99 per month or $24.99 per year. Every time I use it my impression is that it has been limited in some additional way. I am quite disappointed and cannot recommend this app.

    Your site is awful!. I’d give it no stars if I could! I’ve had this app for years and every time I try to look at a recipe I get smothered in ads, pop-ups, videos of unrelated things and can’t even get to the full recipe. Now you have these little heart and search symbols on the side so when I try to scroll the hearts go floating across the screen. You’ve positioned them in a ridiculously stupid place. It may help your likes but it’s a lie and very distracting. I finally decide to just got to the recipe and then there are all of these videos or ads sliding behind the content. There may be a great recipe but I finally quit because there is sooooo much junk that I’m worn out before I even get started! Then if I try to print the recipe because I find it easier to read than trying to use your app, your app makes it almost impossible to print a recipe alone! It has ads all throughout the recipe! I understand the need for ad dollars but when it ruins the pleasure of your site you’ve gone too far! Clean up your site! We are the customers and if we can’t come to your site with ease will stop coming and then your ad dollars will decrease. I hope you all take this seriously because I am getting to the point of deleting this app and banning you from my email list!

    Glitchy. This app is good for finding quick and easy recipes. It has been freezing, locking up, and crashing. They need to fix it fast because it’s getting annoying.

    Update fail. Used to use this app a lot but now it just says update fail. When I go to the App Store it doesn’t show any updates needed.

    Almost useless. This app barely functions. It’s only good for storing recipes, and only barely good for that. The folders don’t work, clipping recipes is hit or miss. The only reason I’m still a pro member is so I don’t lose my recipes since there’s no way to reasonably export them to use somewhere else. Completely garbage.

    Where’s my recipe. Paid for 12 scans. Scanned my recipe and submit. Can’t find recipe. Maybe I did something wrong. Scan again. Submit. Says it’s successful. Still can’t find my scan/recipe. Check what it says for scans, says I’ve used 2 scans but can’t find them. Seriously needs something fixed!! I’d appreciate my money back and maybe I’d try again if they can actually make it work

    Ads on Pro Account. Updated 8/27/21 Crashes every other time I click on a recipe. Your calendar planner still stinks. As a premium user, I’m so disappointed. Really? First you take away my calendar planner and only let me access TWO WEEKS of it. I can’t see any of the recipes on my planner outside of that two week window. Now I see ads? updates 11/11/21. App crashes and/or freezes every day. I have to restart my phone to get it working again. Ads are gone though. Like others, I can’t print using the print button, in the app or in a browser. There is a workaround. Just pull up the recipe as if to print, but in your browser, not the app, then click print in the browser menu. TO THE DEVELOPER Don’t tell me to contact support. You are responding to all these dissatisfied reviews with basically no response. It’s YOUR job to contact support. YOU ARE support. Do your job dude.

    Doesn’t seem like they are investing in product. I’ve been using this program for a number of years and was initially very happy with it. I’ve requested changes (like the extra space between a word and the comma, but nothing ever gets corrected). It feels like they’re just cashing in but not continuing to upgrade the program anymore. I am investigating switching to Paprika.

    No notice on auto renewals. Remember to look at your account because even on a holiday they renew your trial subscription and your stuck with the app for another year. No notification that your subscription is renewing just charged your card you had to put in for the free trial. Poor customer service.

    Many Issues with App. I was happy with Big Oven in the past and now am considering printing/scanning my existing favorite recipes and moving on to another service. I am a premium user and here are the issues: 1. The IOS app will no longer AirPrint to my printer regardless of browser used. 2. The Website accessed on Safari on my IMac does not recognize my premium membership. The Website is essentially unusable with very intrusive adds that do not allow basic reading of recipes. 3. Recipes that are favorited in the IOS app do not show up in the Website accessed on my IMac. These functional issues are compelling me to move on to another service.

    Glitchy Disappointment. I had high hopes for this app, and I don’t understand how it has such high reviews. I tried adding recipes from my phone and using the desktop recipe clipper, both with mixed results. I understand it has to do with how the recipe is coded, but Pinterest is reading the ingredients list just fine. Also, it seems the app is just a mobile version of the website, which causes it to be difficult to use and to view. Sadly, I think I’ll have to move on to another app, because this one isn’t worth the time.

    Terrible. I downloaded this app to share a yummy recipe my family enjoys. As soon as I had finished typing the recipe it all disappeared. I retyped the entire thing and same thing happened. Frustrating experience! I’ve deleted the app.

    Worst app. I got this to something basic—organize recipes. And it can’t do that. When i use the recipe clipper, I have to try 3-4 times and then it still won’t upload the recipe. I am deleting and finding a new app.

    What happened. I used to love this site, Being Gluten Free I relied on your site. But it has changed. You can no longer look for a recipe and how to make it. Instructions disappear. I have to leave this site and go to bing find the recipe which gives you the whole recipe and printable. So sad you had a wonderful site.
