   Bad Customer Service. Downloaded this app with a free two week trial. Apparently I had done once before in the past. Instead of alerting me that I had already taken advantage of the trial period in the past, they just immediately charged me for a full year at the highest subscription rate of $49. Even though the subscription and my App Store invoice clearly states 2-weeks free. They didn’t even try to offer any kind of apology for the confusion. Pretty much saying it is what it is and we don’t date if you were mislead. No type of apology at all. Also, apparently when you try to share any recipe you have, there is an error. Can’t share at all. Buyer beware.

   Frustrated. Keeps freezing when importing from social media sites...then I have to exit out of all apps and I lose the recipe

   Not able to upload recipes. I used to be able to copy and paste recipes into the app so others could see them and save them for themselves, but it has been months since that was possible; every time I try to post a recipe, it disappears to who knows where and doesn’t show up in my cookbook at all. I refuse to pay a ridiculous of money to upgrade the app; I’ve been using the free version ever since I started and I’ve never had an issue until now; I’m about ready to just delete it entirely and use another app that doesn’t give me issues

   Used to be good. This app used to be super good, I have a lot of recipes saved and that I’ve made but the last few months it’s almost impossible to use. It always says it’s “having server issues” and kicks me off of it. It’s basically unable to be used anymore

   This app WAS great. This app was great when I first got it. I even paid for the support. Now, it’s won’t even open, it’s just stuck on the home screen.

   Just another data collection app. Gotta love an app that’s asking for your contacts before it prompts you with the subscription. And then 50$ a year for an online cookbook 🤣🤣🤣 delete. Can’t wait till I get the email that they leaked my info.

    Upload from Instagram. I’m not sure how to do it or if it’s Miss leading or just difficult to maneuver but I have a ton of save videos and recipes on Instagram. The app makes it seem like you can upload them to the app. Can’t figure it out. So. No thank you. Please do not charge my card for a subscription once the free trial is complete. Thank you.

    SPAM your contacts!. Such a scam! App requires you to share your contacts in order to sign up or else it refuses to let you join. Hope they can have users bypass this to join the app.

    Can’t get my account back. We got new phones, and I was asked to login or sign up. Since I already have an account with MANY recipes, I chose to login. No matter which login option I choose it wants me to create a new account. Just keeps asking for my age. So I went ahead and created ANOTHER account, so that was fine - I’ll just start over. Nope. Can’t login to that one either. Frustrating. I was hoping to upgrade to a paid version, but why would I pay for an app I can’t login to with so many issues?

    AI generated recipes and pics. I was very excited about trying this app but was very disappointed. I could immediately tell that a lot of “users” are using AI generated pictures for their recipes. The recipes themselves are probably generated off ChatGBT as well. Nearly all the recipes under “trending recipes” have AI generated pictures… this should be against policy but apparently it’s allowed. I’m sure a lot of these users are just bots too. AI is running rampant and ruining once great sites for finding recipes like Pinterest which is why I was excited to try this app but they are no better. Because Pepper allows the use of AI I will not be using this app.

    Dietary Tags Unreliable. There needs to be a consequence for people who use incorrect tags on recipes, or a way the community can correct it with votes or reporting or something. People will select all the tags (dairy free, nut free, etc) to get more views on their recipes and it makes the filters completely useless. Which makes the app useless for people with dietary restrictions who really only want to see recipes they can make. I love the concept of the app and am excited it exists! If they just fix this one thing it will make it 1000% better

    Frozen screen. Every time I open it I just get a pink screen that’s says “your social cookbook” can’t do anything from there. I’m paying $40 a year for this??? Really?

    Full of glitches. I downloaded this app yesterday. Once it decides it wants to hold you hostage to open a box and see what “free”things you’re gonna get you can’t swipe that screen away to actually do what you intended to do when you open the app. I’ve tried to copy recipes to it and it doesn’t work. It says “oops, something went wrong”. There is no place to just paste a recipe and the toolbar down at the bottom of the screen disappears and you have to constantly close out the app to try to get where you want to navigate it. It is a complete waste of time. Not a helpful tool at all.

    Hard to navigate and more about sharing. I found it cumbersome to navigate and is more about sharing than actually helpful in the kitchen. The plus version is expensive. What a disappointment.

    Not what I want. I subscribed to this to save recipes off TikTok primarily. It’s very easy to copy the link from TikTok and import the recipe into this app. It’s also pretty accurate. My problem with this app is I imported a dozen recipes one evening and when I go back to look at them, they’re not saved anywhere as my recipes that I imported. When I go to search for a recipe I get hundreds of the same recipe, but not the one that I liked, that I saved. so if you decide to use this, make sure as you import the recipes you also flag them as a favorite or they’ll just go into the ether with everyone else’s recipes and you can’t go find your own.

    Payment required after free trial.. They don’t tell you it’s a subscription until after you sign in. Be honest about what you are offering before you get my info. You can delete your account in the settings.

    Hate it. I can’t figure out how to save anything. I find a recipe I want to try and can add it to list but can’t save it otherwise. Now I have a list of recipes and I have to open each one to see ingredients. It’s the worst. We should be able to save recipes as we find them. There are no instructions and it’s not intuitive. I do like the import feature but overall it’s a waste of money.

    Disappointed. It wasn’t until I signed in that the app told me it was a free trial and then how much the subscription costs. I can’t afford any subscriptions. Then I had to figure out how to delete my account and then delete the app. There was nothing in the App Store info that said there would be a cost. Please be respectful and let potential customers know everything up front. This looks like a good app. I’m sorry I can’t use it.

    Scam app. I just signed up for the free two week trial and immediately I was charged $22 from my account. I have for two weeks of supposed to be a free trial but they charged me? I’m disputing this with my bank.

    No consolidated grocery list?. Beautiful app but why is there no apparent consolidated grocery list? The app lists groceries by recipe. So weird. Please have a look at mealime for the correct way to do this.

    Not for anyone serious about cooking/baking. I was excited about the concept of this app, since I’m always exchanging recipes with friends and currently have all of mine handwritten in Noteshelf on my iPad. Anyway, I downloaded with high hopes and quickly discovered that they don’t have grams as a unit of measure available when creating recipes 🤦‍♀️ This just tells me the creators of the app aren’t cooks and haven’t worked with anyone in the culinary industry. Bummer. Hopefully a similar app will come along for home chefs and bakers who want to share accurate recipes or non-American recipes!
