   Awful app & customer service. I’ve had this app for about 6 months now and one day the app wouldn’t open. I just got a blue screen and it froze. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but when I logged back in, I had NONE of my recipes I’d saved and cooked. Everything I’d found and cooked was now gone. I reached out to their “customer service” which was a huge joke. I got one email reply telling me to login instead of create a new account. The lady clearly didn’t read my email or she thinks I’m just an idiot. Either way, it was bad customer service and I’m still left with a waste of time and money. I’ve already cancelled this membership so it will NOT renew. The food is ok, I guess. I’ve tried several recipes and only a handful have been ones I would repeat. To me it’s not worth the money when I can find the same stuff on IG or TT.

   Looking for an app that gives recipe ideas.. Had the app for 20 minutes to check it out given the 400k reviews. It was a pain. IMO this app needs a way to filter out drinks and desserts. I’m looking for meal ideas and if the recommendations are 99% drinks and desserts, it doesn’t help out much. Saw one good recipe that was very basic, and I could have done an easy google search for it. Improve the filter ability and it might be a good enough app to download again.

   Not for kids!! - inappropriate ads!. The app description says that it is for ages 4+ but it’s letting ads inappropriate for young kids. My son has been cooking and was excited about having this app on his Android phone, which has A LOT of parental restrictions. However, through this app inappropriate ads (sexualized Temu ads if you must know) appeared. I tried to report it directly from the ad, which made it disappear only to reappear a few seconds later. He’s uninstalled it. I only installed it to write this review. I also see that people can post pictures of what they made. Are those pictures being regulated or like the ads in this app, anything can show up there?

   Logged off my tasty app, now I have to pay monthly?!. What kind of BS is happening here? I’ve used tasty for many years, and now I have to sign up? I lost all my saved meals and whatever I have contributed to this app. So disappointed!

   Waste. The app is bloated with ads, the layout is so congested that you can hardly find the information you need, they force you to create an account to bookmark any recipes, and the recipes are just GARBAGE. It's a complete waste of food, time, sanity, and energy. They make enticing videos for youtube but the end result in real life is pathetic. Use a legit cookbook instead.

    Terrible recipes are taking up my phones storage. I added this app because they had a couple recipes I liked. Now, they send me recipes that are all either disgusting or are just something that it seems are thrown together by someone who doesn’t care and just trying to rush out content. I’m deleting this app today after having not been attracted to any one recipe in over a year. Why take up space on my phone when I can just google recipes that are actually good and usable?

    Ratings???. Don't know why people rate this app so high. I wanted to find peanut butter frosting (icing) recipe. Did not exist or even get close. App will be deleted.

    Getting political. I joined tasty because of the variety of dishes and now they are posting political posts. If I want that I will go to a news network. Stick to food.

    Yeah, no. All of these weird recipes look like you just stole them off 5 minute crafts. And also, there are so many 5 year olds always fighting and hating in the comments of people’s posts. I’m just trying to find tips to improve my baking, not see little kids arguing about religion or whether the post is a screenshot or not. This app should be 15+

    Cluttered layout, poor directions, ads even in premium version. Update: The directions are worse than I originally noticed. Why would it assume someone just had *cooked* brown rice hanging around in the same “pantry staples” category as salt and pepper? It’s so frustrating to deal with this that we decided to unsubscribe, delete the app, and use the groceries we’ve bought on other recipes to just leave the frustration behind. To start, if I’m paying for an app and see an ad that’s automatically problematic and unacceptable and immediately made me unsubscribe. Do not give me a Starbucks Ad when I’m trying to cook. The Ads on a paid app are intrusive. The layout is cluttered and oftentimes confusing. Navigating the app often feels like trying to navigate the temu app with the amount of clutter and overstimulation. The actual directions for the recipes are often incomplete or assume odd things. For example, when creating a Bahn Mi bowl, it assumed I already had shredded red cabbage, 1 cup of cooked rice, sliced radish and jalapeño already, and did not add this to either the instructions or ingredients - leading to confusion when cooking and wasted recipes and therefor groceries. There is plenty of good. The recipes - when properly documented - are delicious and often easy to make. Exporting a shopping list to Walmart is incredibly helpful and makes shopping via pickup a breeze. Overall, I’ll be unsubscribing because of the Ads and poor directions. The layout I could get over. In my opinion, you’re better off using MealLime. It’s $1 cheaper, has no ads, and an easy to use layout. However it does have more limited recipes.

    DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS STUPID APP!!!!!! 👎🏻. Apparently my review doesn't count, because I submitted one a few days ago, and now it's nonexistent. Therefore, I'm making another one now, and I'm even MORE annoyed than I was then! This app is STUPID because when I first downloaded it and clicked on it to open it for the first time, the first two things that came up were 'Are you vegetarian?' and the question of what types of recipes I'd prefer to see. Well, I've been a proud militant vegetarian for 17+ years and still going strong, and I selected 'I want healthy recipes' for the second question. So, I answer both of the questions, and of course like any other person I immediately go to the dashboard/homepage for inspiration, to see what their recipes are like. I kid you not, ALMOST ALL of the recommended recipes involved some sort of meat as the base ingredient, AND the very FIRST recommended recipe was for CINNAMON ROLLS. Why bother to ask questions if you're just going to push your own agenda regardless? This app is useless, and I deleted it immediately. I've NEVER been so insulted by an app before. Screw you, 'Tasty.' I'll NEVER download OR recommend this app EVER 👎🏻

    Relatively useless if…. This app is relatively useless if your search is related directly to an ingredient. It may be useful if you’re searching for inspiration for a dish that is mostly unrelated to your ingredient however. For example, search for “sautéed cabbage” and see what you get…

    Same Old Stuff. This app never really gets updated. It looks the same it did 5 years ago when it came out. Many recipes are bland and there is a lot of really cool stuff in the app. But nowadays you could use it for a few months and probably be bored with it

    A little too liberal for my liking. There was a facebook post made by tasty claiming Trump is the reason for high grocery prices and that we are stupid for voting for him saying "MAGA was warned. MAGA was given evidence. They chose to ignore it. I am confident that I have enough groceries stocked up that fresh produce and meat should be the only items I have to spend my money on. Trump is a moron who doesn't care about his voters. Now we all will be paying the price for voter stupidity." So as they say most of Americans (basically most of their fan base) are stupid.

    You’re a recipe group. Not a political machine.. We loved the Tasty shows on tv and would watch them often with my kids. I noticed the app hasn’t moved much since you can still see Halloween Recipes on the front page and we are into March now. Allrecipes used to be a great app and then they stopped updating and it died. I assumed that’s what was happening here. Today I logged onto CB and see an anti trump post over egg prices posted by Tasty… what? Who bought you guys out and delivered the final blow. What a terrible fall from grace. Cooking is my escape from political garbage and some of you just can’t help yourself. Deleted and on to the next cooking app.

    Weird Tasty+ subscription. I don’t even remember signing up for Tasty+, so I was a littler concerned it started charging me without my consent. But fine, let’s say I just forgot I signed up, what frustrates me is when I try to search in the app for what Tasty+ actually is, it gives me little to no info. There is no page or section that breaks down what Tasty+ is and what you’re paying for. Even after I asked their own AI bot what Tasty+ is it gave some general nonspecific answer about making great recipes. Isn’t the whole app about making recipes and free?? So what was I just paying you for?? They really need to work on being transparent and keeping their users informed.

    Not an option anymore. I used this app for quite a long time. Have been able to use it up until now. Wants me to log in. Then wants to go to a website to sign in and match the letter/number puzzle, then wants me to log into facebook. Why make it so hard and so many hoops to go through. How about just log into the app? I have now deleted the app.

    Lack of good recipes. I tried alcohol free but it only showed more drinks than actual food. Plus I have to eat low sodium foods prescribed by my doctor and they don’t have that.
