   Do not waste your money. For the extreme amount these cost it would be nice if they worked even just sometimes. You will spend more time on video chat with customer service getting them replaced than ever getting to use them. My dogs keep getting Shocked as if they left the boundary, while they are sitting in our house or While in the middle of the yard. Then the collars will lose signal and they can just run right past the boundary. And good luck sending feedback to something that is always searching for signal. ** UPDATE** the only thing halo has responded to is this review. They clearly don’t want to fix it. All my emails to tech support and customer support are unanswered. Almost 2000 dollars wasted.

   Worthless. 1st collar battery malfunctioned, and they want $400 to replace chip when the collar cost $500. 2nd collar fell off dog and it is charged but won’t show where it landed. Waste of money.

   Not what I was expecting. Spent 1100.00 on 2 Halo 5s. Both went out within 4 months. The 5s are supposed to charge for 48+. The originals charged for 51. The replacement “5s” charge for 38. The gps is wildly inaccurate. Showed one of my dogs well into the shock zone. Scared me to death. Then showed me he was mile away. Thankfully he was around the corner of the house. This was the replacement collar! So far, a huge disappointment.

   -$1000. We’ve had our halo collars for a couple months everything was going fine until recently one of the collars went missing off the dog we weren’t sure how the dog would of gotten it off they aren’t crazy and our backyard has nothing to get caught up on but is huge do to living on a farm well today we saw that the screws have fallen out of our second collar just gone wouldn’t be surprised if this is what happened to the first one was disappointing to see a $500 collar fall apart like that.

   Not worth it.. I have a Halo 3 collar. We have been using this system for over 3 years, happily paying the subscription fee. Our Halo 3 collar needs a replacement cover and strap. After contacting Halo to order parts, I was shocked to learn that Halo no longer supports Halo 3. I paid $600 for this collar, and it still works fine! Halo only supports 4 and 5 now. So if you need something, don’t expect support from Halo. They recommended Amazon for the HALO accessories I need! I checked, Amazon has nothing. Halo apparently would rather we just buy a whole new system. The cash grab is infuriating. I bet they think they are an eco-friendly company too.

   Unreliable. The gps is not consistently accurate. It shocks our puppy in the house at random, even after we setup protective beacons inside our home. The collar is not worth it.

   Just keeps getting worse. Love the idea of the technology behind Halo collars. Love the customer service, however…We have 2 dogs. They have replaced one of them and it seems like all the parts except for the main battery part of one of them. The rivets are not strong enough for dogs. We have used zip ties to hold them together and it works much better. Since the latest update they are absolutely terrible. Literally our dog walked past our back door and it said he had left the fence. Can’t trust it at all. Not worth the very high cost of them.

   Price. The collars seem to work like they should but the price and the monthly subscription is just a little much we had to buy multiple collars and the multi collar discount is weak . One of the collars is acting up and haven’t been able to talk to real person. The most recent update now shows my property from 6 years ago not sure how that’s an update

   Customer service is awful. They expect you to wait with their poorly designed chat box open for hours waiting to speak to someone for help in the middle of the week. If you go out of the poorly designed chat box your wait time extends another 30 mins. I have sent emails asking for help and have been completely ignored. The collar itself harmed my dog. It would zap him while he was INSIDE my house because the gps signal wasn’t strong. This collar costs almost $1000 and I would NOT make this investment again.

    halo collars. these are an expensive piece of junk. They do not work reliably. My dogs intermittently will get shocked when they’re nowhere without boundary however not shocked when crossing the boundary. when dogs have left the fence or on walk, you can track them despite having this feature.

    Bad feedback. The feedback is inconsistent and my dog is getting shocked due to feedback lagging. There’s also the issue that despite requesting a map update it still hasn’t been done and this map is over 3 years old and does not accurately map my neighborhood creating issues trying to properly set the boundary line. Not worth the $600 after taxes plus monthly fees for use of the app.

    Should not be Marketed as a Containment Device. Followed all instructions and could not get consistent feedback from the collar. Tried it in my hand as well as on our dog. Would walk 500 feet outside of fence and then would get an alert via the collar, sometimes. Then I could break the fence (no alert) and stand in a road and still no alert. Reset and retire multiple fences but the reality is a 20 second delay in the GPS can be deadly for an animal. This item should not be marketed as a fence. Deceptive marketing.

    App and product. The app is kind of hard to navigate and I am so far very dissatisfied with the product itself. Dog was shocked inside the house in the first 10 minutes of use.

    Torture Shocker. This collar shocks my dog when he is in the boundaries, even when he’s in the house. We have also now had three different collars in less then a year because they malfunction.

    Do not waste your money!. The collar constantly sends negative feedback and sends notifications that the pup is outside of the fence when they are not. The collars tend to malfunction outside of the one year warranty and then the only option is “halo care” to get one for half price.

    Good for a time. We were in the middle of a conversation and she hung up on me! The new update to the collar IS NOT working. It has shocked both my husband and I and my pup If I can’t get someone to fix the collar I want a refund!!! This is ridiculous I have been trying to get a hold of someone since the update went out and have now been hung up on three times and never been able to connect with anybody. I guess I need to get Legal involved.

    Extremely Upset. This was supposed to be a better way for our dog to be outside w/o the run. Instead it turned out to be a torture device from hell! The collar decided it wanted to rewrite out fence lines and shocked our poor dog inside the house thinking that he was outside the fence line. Not safe, will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE EVER!!!!

    Would give zero if possible. Combined 3 hours on phone trying to get through to support, between my wife and I. The collar works ok, but if anything goes wrong, good luck getting any help.

    Shocks dog while in the house. This is ridiculous for the cost. My dog is getting shocked while in my house. Estimated wait time is 200 plus minutes to chat with someone and to schedule a call takes over a month.

    Was Good, Now Dangerous. Have two collars on two dogs. Few months and it worked great, after the last update my dogs have been shocked to the point of anxiety. It’s now an unusable system.

    Horrible gps accuracy and customer support. Consistently shocks my dog thinking she’s outside of the fence when she isn’t. Customer support is nearly impossible to get ahold of and not very good once you do get someone to talk too. Never got replies to any of my emails and waited in the “dog park” for an hour while it said estimated wait time 16 minutes. First collar I got didn’t even work and had to be warrantied immediately. Second ones gps is so inaccurate it shocks my dog when she is in the house and in the fence. DO NOT RECOMMEND! I thought for a collar that cost over $500 on sale and had a minimum $100 a year subscription I would get a quality product and decent customer support but I was wrong.

    Don’t recommend. Halo has been very inconsistent. My poor dog can’t figure out where the boundaries are because apparently halo can’t either. Some days he get corrected laying next to the house and other days he runs out of the boundary with no correction at all it’s pretty much complete crapshoot. At this point the only purpose of this is so I know where my dog is and I can say he has an invisible fence
