   Face ID. Keeping Face ID behind the paywall is egregious. It’s not like it’s some new feature that’s difficult in implementing. It’s a common feature on all apps. Good Lord, is that all you can “develop” to generate dollars for the company?

   Update issue. Well I have been using this for years and now with the latest update the app crashes. The first thing it tries to do is sync and after about 5 seconds the app crashes. Great testing before deploying an update. The issue is with the sync to Dropbox. If you turn off sync no more crash. Please fix ASAP.

   Crashes on startup and export is terrible. I’m not going to waste much more of my life on this app by going into detail. But a password manager MUST be reliable and also have an export feature that doesn’t require an hour of massaging to be usable. Completely unacceptable. I’ve used this for years but I cannot tolerate two days of a password manager failing for any reason.

   They Keep Winning Arguments I Never Made. I've used mSecure since 2010. I paid in 2010 and I paid again in 2016. For years I was a loyal customer who recommended it freely. I'm the exact person this developer claims to protect, and I'm the one writing this. Then the deal changed under me. The product I'd already bought twice got reorganized into something I didn't recognize and routed into a subscription that rose every year. That's my complaint. Hold onto it, because the developer won't. Their first reply implied I'd said things that "aren't true." Their latest one spends several hundred words defending the phrase "Universal App" and denying "semantic tricks." But I never built my complaint on "Universal App." That's their word, and they picked it because it's the one battle they can win. Writing paragraphs about it while skipping the actual grievance isn't an answer. It's misdirection, and now they've done it twice in writing. Look at their own defense. They call the shift to paid upgrades and subscriptions "a common, software industry standard." That isn't a denial. It's an admission with better posture. "Everyone does it" concedes exactly what I said happened. The 66% discount and the free Essentials tier aren't proof of innocence. They're the severance check for a contract the company rewrote on its own. The exit told the rest of the story. Getting a decade of my own data out meant fighting an export stuffed with junk formatting that imports cleanly nowhere. Whether that's by design or neglect, the effect on a customer trying to leave is the same. Companies confident in their product make the door obvious. This one hid the handle. There's a support ticket history with their own team documenting all of it. I moved to Bitwarden. It's free, transparent, and better by every measure I care about. The only hard part of switching was mSecure's own friction, which answered the only question that mattered: does this company work for the user or for the renewal? So here's the pattern for anyone still reading the developer's replies. Charged with changing the deal, they argue about vocabulary. Shown that their own words admit it, they point at the rest of the industry. Asked to let customers leave, they clog the door. I'm not a competitor and I'm not a crank. I'm the decade-long customer they say they built all this for. That pattern is the review. Everything below it is theater.

   Not Good. TIRED OF THE ANNOYING pop up begging for the paid tier. I get it, you profit from this. But you shouldn’t be annoying your customers who got you here. Yes, I can tap the X to close it but it basically reappears every time because the app doesn’t stay open all the time in the background. It’s simply aggravating. Glad there’s better options these days.

    Updated from 4 to 6. I lost of of my data from the older version of this application. The support people told me it’s not backwards compatible. I have been using this application for years and now I have ZERO passwords saved and they can’t do anything about it.

    Dropping passwords. One of my logins show that I modified the password three different times, but the password has been deleted by the program.

    Disappointed. Bought a few years ago as a one time payment when downloaded because I didn’t want to deal with apps using subscriptions pricing. Now the old app has stopped working and we are forced to pay a monthly service charge. Very disappointing. I have 250 entry I will have to manually offload/print and input elsewhere

    DO NOT GET. The system of securing PWs is fine. The problem is they have built in a constant nagging banner trying to upsell premium that pops up every-time you open the app. Everyone complains about it and they emphatically say that they wont remove it. Its best to get Apple or any other one that wont keep trying to force you to give then more money, because its likely they will never stop.

    Great but Not. Great secure app. I had over 200 passwords, notes and financial entries then I forgot my password. Reached out customer service and guess what? They cannot reset your password. So if you buy this make sure to write down your password in several different places.

    The app erased all my info from 10+ years. I used this free app for 10+ years, trusted all my log in and bank accounts information here. Didn’t open it too often but it was a lifesaver… until it wasn’t. One day I opened the app and it was empty. Don’t waste your money on this app. Just do a blocked note on your phone that is free and it will actually last forever

    No Way To Recover!. Keep a hardcopy of every password you put in here and the password to enter the app because there’s no way to recover any of it! Which means there’s really no point in paying for this! No point in the backup either because it all gets destroyed if you need to reset your password. Kept the acct key email for nothing.

    Poor App with Horrible Customer Support. Have used and highly rated prior versions of mSecure. But wifi sync is critical to me and I don't want my passwords in the cloud. My App will not sync and mSecure ignores my pleas for help.

    Read the recent reviews. Used this app for >8 years and loved it. Paid the upfront 1 time fee. Suddenly the app disappears from my phone due to a total revision of the previous version. Couldn’t find any of my info—credit cards, DLs, student loans, SS info on myself, kids parents, pictures of all my important cards, birth certs, all website logins…. I wanted to throw up. Luckily I remember I had backed up this information a few months prior BUT even after syncing this backup only maybe 1/4 of what I had saved remained. So upset and now I keep getting hounded about needing to buy a new subscription!! Seriously?! Ridiculous

    Complete Unreliable Garbage. I have used this for years and it just gets worse. Their latest feature is spontaneously deleting records you are working on. I have tried to get off this vendor locked trash but it’s very difficult and they of course will not help to do that. Keep away from this at all costs. You will thank me later.

    Lost 10 years of information!!. This app was my go to for 10 years. I got a new phone and lost everything. “customer support” was horrible. Would not listen to my problem. Unable to solve the issue. Just kept telling me I forgot my password… the same password I used for 10 years. Unable to re-populate with any backup I had diligently completed. Definitely a glitch on mSecure‘s side, but cost me dearly! I no longer recommend this app to anyone. *** print a hard copy of all of your passwords and information from this app and store it. You will eventually lose all of your information as I did!

This blatant disregard for customer loyalty and trust is nothing short of shady. The developer’s instability is further highlighted by this unethical move, leaving users questioning the reliability and integrity of their services.

    Bait & Switch Developer. Paid $20 for the lifetime premium subscription when this app first came out. All features were free and unlocked with the paid app version. I guess the developer pulled an Open AI bait and switch and changed their model to an annual paid subscription instead of the original $20 lifetime and now wants me to pay again to unlock what I previously paid for. Look I don’t care if you want to switch models but this is bad business. You want to have a monthly or yearly paid subscription, fine! Create a new app and name it something else like mSecure V2. Don’t try to profit off all the reviews and good will earned during the early stages. Now I don’t trust this developer and will never buy another app from them again.

    Premium subscription disappeared. I purchased the premium subscription in two years later it is disappeared. I’m not able to restore the subscription through the app. When I attempt to, I get an error. This app has been great for many years. However, I guess things have changed. It’s really sad when companies get greedy and want more and more money. That’s what ruins business.

    Removing Features. So glad to be done with this app now that iOS18 has built in password saving. NO ONE USE THIS APP. Free version available in iOS They’re starting to remove previously-available features unless you switch to the paid (subscription) version. I can’t remember for sure, but I’m pretty sure I paid for the app years (many years) ago. They switched to the subscription model recently. Kind of shady to take away features unless you pay for their subscription

    Don’t….lost data. I’ve had mSecure for many years. Saved all my digital passwords in the app. Just recently the app started crashing. I deleted and reinstalled and now I can’t log back in. I’ve been in contact with mSecure via email and was told all my data is gone!! How can this be?!?!
