    No way to sync with existing vault on network. Been using obsidian for years on MAC and Linux with a vault in a central location on my network. Need my notes on the go and see no way to connect to my remote vault that is not iCloud or their cloud Sync. If there is a plugin, that’s not my problem, I expect the same feature set they’ve always had on their other apps to appear on the iOS, otherwise this is just an Obsidian Lite. Useless.

    Charging to log in on separate device. Switched phones and after I logged in they tried to charge me 45-over 100$ to import my old notes. This is absolutely one of the craziest scams I’ve ever seen on an app.

    iCloud no longer syncs. The latest updates have broken my beloved obsidian on iOS. Half my notes don’t show up anymore. Per some tips online that said it’s a kink with recent Apple updates, I made a new folder on iOS and copied all my notes into the new folder. Still happened where folders with a dozen notes will show as having 3 on iOS. I wish I could roll back to the pre-glass version (I’m on an iPhone mini and have no plans to get rid of it, even for obsidian) 😭 The old versions synced every time you opened the app. Yes, sometimes it took a while but that method always worked. Please bring back this sync on startup!

    App does what it says on the tin. The app works well. My gripe is with the UI changes since the terrible liquid glass decision apple made. An option to revert those or all the tool bar to be at the top again instead of above the keyboard would be great.

    Good app but ancient and cannot work across clouds. Forget this app if you want to use OneDrive, Dropbox, or anything else besides local iOS storage, iCloud, or paying for a pricey sync subscription. Devs blame iOS file system security but what it boils down to is it’s old and not written for cloud. Even their own sync subscription requires the app to be open until sync is complete. Are we in 1996???

    Confusing and almost unusable. This has to be one of the worst notes app I’ve ever used. I really wanted it to work as I like the main concept of obsidian. However, the user interface for both the macOS and iOS versions makes absolutely no sense and is overcomplicated with toggle switches and unintuitive search boxes. Also many times search doesn’t Work or it needs to re-index.

    Lacks Print and PDF Export on iOS. You’re about to go into an important meeting and need to share a note with a colleague. You can’t print out a copy. You can’t export a PDF. Your notes are trapped! These feature requests remain open since 2021.

    Cramped UI on iPhone SE. Basically title. Controls are too big, clumsy; fly out menus don't have scroll bars so you never know if a menu has more items that are on screen or not. Status messages of extensions are somehow under buttons in the top right, and are unreadable.

    Not really cross-platform. Despite their homepage touting cross-platform unless you’re willing to pay them you’re stuck with iCloud Sync which is a problem on Windows. Why no native Dropbox support? Why no Browse Files on iOS where Dropbox also lives. Wasted an hour setting up notes before finding this out.

    Please fix iCloud Drive sync issues. I used to love obsidian but I can’t use it if there is no reliable sync between computer and phone. iCloud Drive creates duplicate files and deletes the last sentence I write when I’m trying to write on the PC app. Please fix this and work with iCloud instead of saying there’s nothing we can do. I’m going with Joplin for the moment because there is no point of there is no sync.

    Unusably Slow Start Up Time. Want to use Obsidian for quick notes on your phone? Don’t. Every time you open it it’ll take it’s sweet time loading your vault, and then remain unusable while it indexes the vault. I am also unsure what algorithm they’re using to index when it takes 3-4 minutes when you have about 30 markdown documents. Maybe do more than copy a stack overflow article, guys.

    Awful first time user experience. Tried to create an account and realized that their sync is paid. Was not informed of this so I tried to go around the paid sync to use iCloud instead. Every time I try to log in, I’m soft locked into buying into their monthly plan. Haven’t even tried out the damn thing!

    The most user-hostile note app. Do you love a sign up process that surprises you with a sudden $48 bill halfway through, with zero explanation? Do you want a note whose design leaves you adrift in a field of thousands of opaque commands and options? This is the app for you, devs.

    I liked this app until. Really liked the app until I opened it one day and all my notes were wiped out. Not sure why but wasn’t expecting my “second brain” to suddenly get dementia. I’ll probably just stick to notes smh

    Locked into iCloud or pay for their sync. Hey Devs, what about the millions of us who are using iPhones and windows PCs? We don’t get to sync our work across platforms? Deleted and reviewed with one star because I wasted hours trying to figure out a workaround.

    Free?. I looked specifically for information about charges for the app, which is represented to be "free." None was stated in the Apple App Store description. When I attempted to create a vault - a necessity - I was presented with charges. There was no free option. I searched Help without success. Unless I have missed something, this is at the least an unfair trade practice and at worst a construcive deceit. Tell me if I am wrong.
