   Pésima App. Llevo 2 horas intentando hacer un mapa, cada vez q iba avanzada me eliminaba todo. Al final me eliminó todo lo que había escrito, cerré la app u cuando volví a entrar apareció todo lo que me había eliminado, todo desorganizado y no fue de ayuda en absoluto.

   More expensive less useful. I’ve been using mind meister on and off for a decade. I downloaded it to my iPhone recently and signed up with my apple account. You can’t even create a basic personal mind map without signing up for a subscription. There are better cheaper alternatives available now so I’m deleting my account and moving to a different app.

   April 2025 Update is a Problem. Prior to the most recent update, the app was great. It was a bit clunky at times, but generally got the job done. The new udate has been unusable after 3-4 elements are added to a map. The app is fighting with the keyboard and entering the wrong characters and eventually the app just locks up. This app needs a patch.

   Unusable. If you’re actually making mind maps with mindmeister you’ll end up, ruining them with this app. So take care.

   Buggy. The app and web version are quite buggy, and support is unresponsive. On the iPad app, synchronization issues occasionally occur. Additionally, after creating a new branch, the screen sometimes goes blank, requiring the user to exit and re-enter the map. Similar issues are present in the web version, where creating a branch may not work until you refresh or re-enter the platform.

    Always focusing on nowhere (iPad app). The problem with this app is that it is always fighting you to go to an empty area in your mind map. You add an item and it will pop up the keyboard and move away into nowhere… you don’t see what you are doing and you are working in the blind. This only works well on a pc in a web browser, I consider the app not an option.

    Devs don’t care about this app. Nor the website. They have known issues and no hot fixes when they get many 1 star customer reviews after an update. They must not care about this app money coming in, because I pay for this app for years and now it is awful with no return calls when I call customer service

    Impossible to Use. I have used MindMeister since a college professor suggested it to me in 2021. It used to be the best thing for me. One of the updates in the past 6 months made the app hard to use, impossible to convert to files, glitchy, and my data didn’t sync up on my iPhone when I had updated my document on my iPad and vice versa. It still made my life easier, despite all of these unacceptable and constant bugs. I thought the trouble with the app was because the app version of was incompatible with my version of iPad. They forced the update on my iPad and iPhone, after which made my MindMeister glitch and gave me messages that said my app wasn’t compatible with an update. I had paid $60 per year to use it, so I was disappointed this past semester, but that’s been NOTHING compared to this past week. Yes, it is ridiculous to not be able to use an app’s current version that you’re paying $60 for, but that’s not what I’m complaining about. Since this last week’s update, this app is IMPOSSIBLE. TO. USE. I’ve used this app multiple times a week for the past 3 years. I’ve paid a PREMIUM price to use it as well, since the lower versions of this app aren’t useful, and THE FORCED UPDATE MADE THIS APP OBSOLETE. The update is the worst thing they could’ve done. There’s no redo button — the undo button takes away too much of your information (3 levels for me), and there’s no way to get that information back once you hit undo. The formatting of the mindmap isn’t what it used to be — you have to click 3 to 5 buttons to get the next line where you want it to be (if at all…) when before it was one. There are no templates to utilize. The buttons on my keyboard don’t control the app anymore — I used to be able to hit my keyboard and get the app to work, but now the only option is to use my touchscreen which is a drawback for me. IT’S SO MUCH HARDER TO GET THIS APP TO COOPERATE. I am so frustrated.

    Can’t login. I signed up for this today. I screenshot my password and login. I was logged in. I logged out and couldn’t get back in with the EXACT login info. I had also downloaded the App. Couldn’t login either on it. I requested a password change. The link you sent does not allow me to change my password. It asks for my CURRENT password in order to change it. If I knew the password, I wouldn’t be asking to change it. What a game changer for me. Wow, it’s way too difficult to use.

    New Version is Problematic. I went back to using MindMeister after a few year hiatus. It was wonderful at one point. Now, the app does not sync as well as it used to, leaving multiple versions of a map on iPad vs. phone. If you delete one of this maps for not being updated, it will delete in both spots. Then, recovery is not possible in the app versions. This might be ideal if you only use it one one platform, but don’t expect mobile edits to push to another device.

    Nope, never signing up back again.. I'm new to mind mapping and I really enjoy it, especially. It greatly boosts my productivity. However, after purchasing the $9.99 monthly subscription, everything went downhill and I immediately cancelled it. The integration with PowerPoint is extremely poor. It's almost better to create your own PowerPoint manually. Additionally, even though you've already paid, their logo still appears on the form. Let me give you an example. When I pay monthly subscription for $8.00 in Microsoft, I get 30 productivity apps, an email with my domain name, and all sorts of external apps that come with my purchase. On the other hand, Mindmeister wants to charge you monthly for their mind app, additional charges on their notes app, another charges on their yet another app calendar, and separate task reminders. It's quite laughable. I wouldn't mind paying if their app wasn't so full of glitches. I actually lost three hours of work because of their buggy system. And guess what? A pop up window showed up on my computer while I was in awe devastated of losing the map I worked on for 3 hours, the pop up window so generously offered to protect my future mapping for an additional monthly fee! It's a joke . I'm so glad I discovered how scammy this app is and cancelled right away. I may have lost $9, but it's better than wasting my precious time again. I quickly begin exploring various apps and web platforms. There are numerous options available, offering significantly improved features at more affordable prices. Even the free alternatives surpass the quality of this subpar product.

    Tons of Glitches. There are so many annoyances with this app. First starters; you cannot add multiple main ideas (starting rectangles), you cannot manually move your topics around where you would like but are locked into a layout, and finally when taking notes if you accidentally tap outside of the topic you are on it doesn’t always save your notes and you have to start from scratch. Very frustrating app to use.

    Testing out app and app deleted everything. Was testing out this app and decided to subscribe halfway through my work, but once I entered the subscription process it deleted everything I had started working on. This made me frustrated enough to cancel and find another app altogether. FYI devs fix this you’re welcome

    Absolute Waste! Zero Support - Stole My Money! - Does Not Work. I purchased (have to pay for a year - they give no other option) a PRO subscription to Mindmeister thinking that because it is web-based, if the iOS app isn’t full featured, then I can always use Safari or Chrome for iPad. WRONG! For some reason, even when I request the desktop site thru either Safari or Chrome from my iPad, it does NOT allow me to use either browser and instead forces me to use the app for iOS, which is not full featured. It does not integrate with MeisterTask and leaves a lot to be desired. And best of all — there is NO way to contact customer support to fix the issue. If you plan to do any mind-mapping from your iPad, do not waste your money on this product.

    BEWARE annual charges. I cancelled this monthly service in February 2022 via apple App Store/iCloud because the app did not work as I needed. I was then charged annually in March 2022 to my Apple Card. Customer support refused to help/acknowledge the credit card charge or refund me, despite my previous cancellation, just kept pointing my to apple subscriptions, so I disputed the transaction with Sachs. Here I am two years later still getting billed annually for a service I don’t use. No real means of getting support from Meister either. BEWARE.

    The original was AWESOME!! The new is HORRIBLE!!!. The new version is so horrible and frustrating. I have no idea why they made it less user friendly. You used to be able to use the old version and now nothing will open with the old version. So stupid.

    Calling their bluff. It’s been over a year of waiting for the new and improved editor to work seamlessly between web and iOS. It’s either not technically possible to bridge the gap, or they don’t have the coding skills and or development bandwidth. Definitely not worth your money.

    Can’t unsubscribe, no customer service. I can’t unsubscribe. Yes, I’ve followed the help instructions but I don’t have any options under “Plans” to change anything. I was just charged $99 for an app I’ve used once or twice a year or 2 ago.

    "View Only" App. I've spent well over $100 to use your suite of apps. At the time of subscriber, this "view only" app wasn't even a thing. And now y'all seem to be spending all your time improving this stupid and useless View Only version instead of working on the actual updated version of the app. Complete waste of time and effort and border-line a scam. I'm not sure why Apple hasn't removed you from the App Store, yet.

    Love the site. Hate the app.. I love using MindMeister. However, they have had the new interface out for almost a year and the app is still not updated to be able to use the new interface. This means, essentially, that any maps you create online cannot be edited in the iPad app, which cuts the functionality of the app in half.

    Beware: if you downgrade in the future: maps are locked. Beware: your maps are not your own. I was a premium user for both work and personal mind-maps for a few years. I then changed jobs and downgraded to personal plan for a while. ALL my maps are LOCKED! Because I created many maps when I was a pro user, it won’t let me open up ANY of my existing maps as a personal user. I can’t even see a preview of them (I wanted to use one of my travel mindmaps), you are literally unable to view or use any of your previous mindmaps if you downgrade. Not at all impressed after paying premium for years, to then be unable to view my own mindmaps. I will upgrade for one month: export all my data & move on. Lots of great alternatives out there. Shameful hustle locking up work of users.
