   This app is a scam. Do not download this app it is total bs. I signed up for a one month subscription and they have been charging my credit card for the last 6 months. Also customer support is terrible, good luck getting a refund.

   Impossible to cancel. They purposely make this very difficult to cancel. I canceled through APP after first week of usage as the app did not suite me. Continued to be billed the following year. Was told i actually subscribed via website and needed to cancel via website not app! Very poor business practices

   Refund. I got charged for a subscription it was like $21 or something as soon as I saw they charged me I canceled the subscription and requested a refund. The refund request got denied and I don’t have access to my subscription so I basically got charged 21 dollars for nothing.

   Don’t honor their own policies. While the service has its upsides the biggest issue is their deceptive billing practices. No mentions of charging TRIPLE the signed up for price. They also offer a money back guarantee “if you are dissatisfied for ANY REASON” and then will try to tell you all purchases are final, not honoring their own money back guarantee. There are other apps that do this same thing better, cheaper, and without the deception. Choose a different one from betterme.

   What Was I Just Charged For?. Gives “Dora the Explorer” vibes. The first “lesson” I completed was not much of a lesson and ended abruptly with the app telling me to basically go home and find ten items I don’t want anymore, throw them away and, as a result, I “will feel calmer, happier, and more in control”. All I felt was coned and ripped off with a charge on my card despite agreeing to the “free trial”. Either I completely misunderstood what I was signing up for when I approved the free trial or it was worded in such a way that it was deliberately confusing. All I “feel” now is annoyed and stupid for falling for an obvious advertisement scam I clicked on between videos I was watching on Facebook. Not happy.

   Scammer app. I canceled my trial before it ended and deleted the app, yet I was still charged for a full month. The charge appeared under “Apple” with no clear info, so it took me a while to trace it back to this app. Charging users after cancellation is unacceptable and misleading. Their app support link is broken. They are literally scammers.

   Not a real app. I saw this app on Instagram and really thought it could help, but after subscribing I found out it’s just a cheap app written by AI very poorly, and just a quick money scheme, very disappointing

   Misleading. The app said the subscription was free for 7 days and I was charged immediately! No, I’ve never used Better Me in the past, hence the reason I was excited about the offer. Was very misleading.

    Careful!. This app will automatically renew despite not showing up in your App Store list with no way to cancel. I did go in the app itself to cancel it, but it STILL renewed at over $50!! Can’t find anything to show for how long. Cancelled again and now when looking at how to request a refund, it says go thru the App Store (which doesn’t show it in my subscription list still) and to do anything with them it’s super unclear and a PIA. This is scammy.

    Scammers/Bad customer service. I attempted to cancel my subscription. The rep replied that they will extend my membership 3 months in order to encourage me to continue the program free of charge. I thought it was a good deal however they charged me almost $100. When I tried to dispute the charge they replied saying that I agreed to pay which was not the understanding. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

    Misleading and deceitful trial period. So many apps provide a discounted trial period. The only way I’m able to track this is by looking at the list of apps I have subscribed to in my Settings > Personal Apple Account (top tab) > Subscriptions > This orovides a list of active subscriptions, their cost and renewal date. This app does not show up on that list. I used this app for one day because I wanted to give it a try after having experienced severe lost in my life. Completely forgot that I even had the app and subscribed because it did not appear on my list of paid subscriptions. Now I’ve been charged nearly $100 for under three month period after an initial 84 day trial oeriod of $9-10 which I’m certain the app knows I used for under a week. This app takes advantage of people who are experiencing hardship in their lives and I demand a refund. Your deceitful subscription practice is wrong.

    THEY canceled MY subscription. I tried this app and provided feedback (like they request that you do if you don’t care for a meditation). When I provided unfavorable feedback THEY canceled MY subscription without me asking them to. When you get done with the feedback it sends the email without you realizing it’s going to. This prompted another space to write additional things out. Since they did that please let me share my feedback for public consumption: “Please don’t email me back about this. I didn’t realize it would send as an email or I wouldn’t have filled it out. I would rather cancel this subscription than have a canned response about how “we’re sorry your experience blah blah blah.” I just thought this was general feedback. The voice sounds like a robot. And nothing about what she was saying felt like it was authentic. Just some feel good words that someone strung together.” Rather than respect my request to not be emailed back about the feedback, they canceled my subscription and emailed me back in length, defending their company. Good job, BetterMe! On being so concerned with defending yourself against what wasn’t an attack, but was honest feedback. You’ve ensured I never try another service of yours again!

    Terrible customer service. Considering this is supposed to be a mental health app, they don’t seem to care about their customers. I was charged when I didn’t want to be and after three emails they refuse to address my concern or issue a refund. Very disappointing. I am paying for something I do not use and nobody will even address my concern.

    Renewed early - stealing my $. I had a trial to this app and cancelled one day before trial ended. Little to my knowledge they charged my card BEFORE the trial expiration date. They will not give me my money back and have forced me to escalate with my credit card company. When contacting customer service they blamed me then tried to give me extra time on the app (I don’t use) as resolution. I want my money back since I cancelled within the timeline. I dont understand why I would be charged BEFORE the deadline. This company does not take accountability for their mistakes and steals from consumers! BEWARE!

    Extremely Disappointed. I found this app to be extremely disappointing. From the beginning, my experience was frustrating. It took far too long to get a response to my initial question about my type, which left a negative impression. When I attempted to use the app, I found it overly complicated and poorly designed for someone like me. The amount of reading required to navigate was overwhelming, and after multiple tries, I gave up and stopped using it altogether. To make matters worse, the app doesn't send renewal reminders, which feels like a deliberate choice to secure payments from users before they can cancel. While I understand the cancellation policy, there should be flexibility in cases like mine where the app was barely used. I wouldn’t recommend this app unless significant improvements are made to both its design and customer service.

    Wish I could use it.. I signed up for a subscription. But can’t log in. Tried password reset and it said it didn’t recognize my email to reset my password although they emailed me at the same email address. I sent a message to the help service and haven’t got a response.

    I tried it 1 day and did not like it they won’t refund my money. I tried the app. I did not like it requested for a refund, not even 24 hours out and they denied it. They said it’s at no money back refund and they wanted to give me three months of something and I told them no but they refused so I would not with this company and also it’s very about spiritual and Shareka’s and that is not what therapy and motivational things are very deceiving

    Not worth $50. This was very deceptive that it had a $31 auto renewal not to mention the original $15 for getting the app. I only paid $15 as it seemed like there could be topics, tips or methods worthy and that the app might be worth it. Turns out I was wrong. It has no benefits and offers nothing to help with actual traumas, let alone scam you into taking money from your account without permission.
