   Don’t download. I had high hopes for this app but looks like it’s been abandoned. Lots of major bugs that are central to its brand promise (like that you can connect it to different apps but that doesn’t work), and no one answers their customer service emails. I’ve tried for months and am past the window Apple allows now for refunds so I bought a year of access for something I never use. Super disappointed. Don’t bother downloading! Waste of money.

   Don’t bother. Too bad. Used to work ok. Then Facebook feeds stopped. Now there’s no tech support. I switched to Day One. Wow. So much better!

   Cannot export data. I’ve been using this app for a long time and I like it except that I can’t export my years worth of data, so I am always afraid I am going to lose all my entries. There is supposed to be a way to export files, but I always get an error message and customer service has never responded when I’ve reached out (multiple times). Without a solid way to save my files, the rest of the features on the app feel like they don’t matter.

   Used to be great…. This app hasn’t been updated in a year. Many of the feeds are now broken, including Swarm, and X. If you’re using it for journaling or basic RSS feeds, it’s probably still great. But sadly, I will not be resubscribing, even though I have been using this app for nearly 8 years. I have reached out using their support, and their email, and I’ve gotten no reply and no help. Rest in peace Momento. You will be missed.

   Premium Gold subscriber here.. Out of business?? I have subscribed since 2014 and love this journaling app! I even recently renewed! However, I have been trying to contact you since the beginning of October to no avail. Zendesk is is of zero help with my issue. I keep being asked to upgrade my subscription to obtain features I already (had) access to. As Premium Gold shouldn’t there also be a degree of expedited customer service? My Ticket number is #9603. Thank you.

   Premium is a scam. I paid for a Premium subscription almost a year ago for the “Full Feed History” but have never been able to connect my FB or IG feeds. I will not be renewing and would not recommend others pay for the Premium version.

   Developer no where to be found. Looks like developer stopped updating and responding to request since January 2024. Don’t pay for an upgrade cause it doesn’t do anything.

   Facebook Feed known bug has been open 14 months. I’m extremely disappointed. Don’t count on an automatic feed from Facebook. It doesn’t work. There has been a bug report open for 14 months which still hasn’t been addressed as of today 2/18/24. I contacted Customer Support two months ago and received an automated email in reply.

    IT DOES NOT SUPPORT SOCIAL MEDIA FEEDS!!. The description is FALSE! I paid the premium subscription fee for this app ONLY because it said it would pull in my social media feeds. It worked for a month, maybe, and now it hasn’t worked in almost a YEAR! Total waste of money and total misrepresentation of what this app can do. The “known issues” list says they have know about the issue for at least a year! No fix! They blame Facebook for that feed, but another journal I have since found supports the syncing of my feed(s) (Diarium). CORRECT your description Momento, or fix the issue! I use Day One for day-to-day journaling… I wanted this one for the social media syncing. Zero stars ⭐️!!

    Untrustworthy. I downloaded and started using this app years ago. Suddenly they changed their service. If I want to continue password protection and posting pictures to an event, I need to upgrade to the paid version. I have no problem with app developers making money, but allowing me to get years worth of entries before suddenly removing the password protection is playing dirty. Now I have to pay them or the entries that they allowed me to believe were private will all be more easily accessed by others, and it is less useful because the photos are more restricted. If that were the deal from the start, I may or may not have chosen their app. Changing their rules after I entered years worth of memories is not ok. What will they change next? I can’t trust this company so now I need to start moving the entries to a more reliable platform. If that sounds ok to you, then by all means download this app.

    Doesn’t stay connected to facebook. I’m finally canceling my subscription, deleting my account, and deleting the app. It hasn’t worked correctly in years and I’m done paying $14.99/year for an app that doesn’t work as advertised—what’s the point?

    No longer works. I have been using this app since the Momento classic. I have paid for this version. Instagram hasn’t worked since May 2022. Facebook has not worked since May 2023. All my past posts that go back years are locked and I have to pay a subscription to unlock it. It is sad that this app no longer works. Don’t waste your time.

    Lack of updates. I paid for the premium version and it can’t even connect to Facebook or Instagram. What a bummer. Looks like there hasn’t been any major updates either. Unfortunate since I just discovered this app and really like the concept.

    Facebook Feed Fail. The Facebook feed has been broken for MONTHS, not just for a “few” users, for a lot. Just because not everyone takes the time or effort to write a review does not mean the problem does not exist. As has been noted, it’s been MONTHS since an update. The feed is broken and if there is no intention to fix it, at least take it off the list of supported feeds. Please don’t insult your users’ intelligence. UPDATE: The responses from the developer take ZERO responsibility for flaws in the app, which is egregious in light of how much they want in subscription fees. First, they hide previously available features behind the paywall from early adopters instead of grandfathering them in. Second, the app feeds don’t work and the implication is that it’s user error instead of bad coding. Third, it is MONTHS between updates no matter how many complaints about broken functions exist in the app. Fourth, the time zone adjustment feature is an absolute joke if you travel across the international dateline. If you can’t code that correctly, then let the user handle that manually. AND THE FACEBOOK FEED IS STILL BROKEN. DELETED AND TRIED TO RE-ADD MULTIPLE TIMES! UPDATE 11/17/2023: Now the app claims my Premium subscription has expired. I AM GRANDFATHERED INTO HAVE PASSCODE SECURITY, TWO USELESS FEEDS, AND EXPORTING AS A TEXT FILE. This app has the worst support ever. Developer absolutely refuses to take any responsibility for the bug-ridden code. I can’t wait for Apple’s journaling function to be released.

    Was Great Now Broken. October 2023: I have been using this app for years — possibly since it was first launched. I loved it and recommended it to numerous friends and family members. As a photographer and book publisher, I found that it’s strength was in weaving all of my Instagram and Twitter posts directly into my journaling timeline. Unfortunately, the feed connections stopped working about 9-10 months ago - (possibly even longer). I’ve tried to reconnect the feeds, but continued to get error messages that actually gave me error messages that included computer code-like text within them, leading me to believe that my issue was not based on anything I was doing, but something larger within the app code structure itself. I reached out for technical support several weeks ago, but received none. I thought by increasing my subscription to a higher paid level might help prioritize my access to tech support, but unfortunately it did not. It’s been weeks and weeks since I reached out for support, but I have still not received a response. I tried de-installing and reinstalling the app, and reconnecting my feeds over and over, but then lost all of my journal data completely. I once loved this app, but the technical issues are, to say the least, disappointing, and their Tech Support is MIA (even at the paid subscription level). And worse, I now have a yearly subscription that expires next fall, but no journal entries for my multi-years worth of journal writings. AND, even with a blank slate app - m the feeds still do not work! I’ve deleted Momento from my phone and am now searching for a new journaling app. Sad ending to a once great application.

    Gradually every third-party integration has failed. I’ve been using this app for almost a decade. I’m a paid subscriber. I’ve watched it gradually lose functionality for several years now. Requests for support go unanswered. I have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes, but at this point the developer is just collecting subscription fees and neglecting the app.

    Disappointed. I’ve had this app for years but the feeds from Facebook and Instagram no longer update. Why am I being charged for a subscription that no longer works? And before you sent the automated response of disconnect your feed, I’ve done that multiple times. I’ve disconnected and reconnected deleted and re-added. Next trouble shooting suggestion please.

    Not a fan of losing features. As a developer myself I understand the need for revenue. However, it will always leave a bad taste in my mouth when an app cuts off features that I previously had access to and demands payment to restore them. My history access should be grandfathered in. If there were new features that were added for a fee then great but don’t take away existing features. That is just asking for ransom.

    Very convenient. I started using this app January 2016 and was told that as an early supporter my access to everything would not change. As of January 2023, after having this app for 7 years, I can no longer see my feeds, and as of today I am being restricted to one photo per journal entry unless I get a premium account. Why are you going back on your word? I’m extremely disappointed in the dishonesty, and lack of appreciation given to an early supporter.

    Doesn’t pull in photos from Facebook. Only pulls in the text from FaceBook : no photos. Which makes the post disjointed at best, absolutely unrecognisable and useless for the most part. This used to work? Have you put this functionality behind your sun paywall?

    Oh no, why the change? :(. I've used this app for YEARS and all of a sudden I'm unable to access the majority of entries. How heartbreaking 💔 I recommended this app so often to so many friends. I can't recommend this app anymore, since it doesn't have any use when you can't see past posts.

    Updated review. Dec 2022 5 stars back to 1. The working didn’t last a month, but I’ve been using the app as best I can. Today I find my history is locked because I’m not a premium user. The screen to become a premium user does not work. I’m done for good and am much more satisfied with DayOne. Jan 2022 changing review from one star back to five. It works again. Update: No longer connects to Facebook, making it useless to me. Original: DayOne updated and lost a user. Momento is better because it's tracking my life. Knowing I can backup and restore is necessary for another star- I'm sharing each entry to Evernote manually. Evernote sync would be wonderful.

    Wow. There goes my data.. I was an early supporter of your app, and this is how you show appreciation, by reneging on your promise to include us in premium functionality? I can no longer view feed posts that are over a year old. Everything suddenly has a lock slapped over it. What a slap in the face of the people you built your success on. Guess this is goodbye.

    How dare you delete/lock Facebook posts over a year old. It would be one thing not to add new material but to lock the old that was already in the app is so wrong. Do you really think this is going to get me to pay you more? It shows that you don’t care at all about the customer.

    Easy choice to delete now. I’ve been a Premier subscriber for years, this morning after the “bug fixes” I find the app is now intentionally limiting features which were free and demanding a subscription for them. I may still me a subscriber but this practice is not something I can support. I am cancelling my subscription and deleting. You’ve ignored the same support email for 27 months anyway so what am I even paying for? More feeds? Sorry, you’ve ruined this beautiful app.
