   Disappointed. I was a big fan of the app and bought it long ago. A recent update to the app does not allow me to restore my purchase and is pushing to subscription. I have tried to contact the customer service multiple times since August and have heard nothing. It is truly frustrating that everything is now subscription base and that they don't honor the purchases of the past. Unfortunately this is an app I will no longer use or recommend.

   6 years of entries lost. I have used this app since 2019 and would have recommended it, but they just updated their pricing structure and my preexisting subscription is no longer active. I have no way to access my entries without paying a new subscription fee. Support is nonexistent; my email messages are being ignored. I might consider re subscribing at the new rate but I don’t trust them to not increase rates and lock me again out until I cough up more money.

   Thievery. I once was a big fan of this app — in fact, all the apps from this developer. Then they got greedy. Their Growth Bundle provided reasonable pricing for all of their apps and I've been a subscriber for five years. But my recently-renewed subscription is no longer active in any but one of the 10 apps I use — and I'm being gouged to the tune of $340+ every year if I want to continue using them. Developer support is nonexistent; my email messages are being ignored. Given the plethora of reasonably-priced apps that do what this app does, you're better off looking someplace else.

   Cash grab scam. Had this app since 2020. Documented years of my life. Came back recently — “only 15 entries for free users” and every option to export or backup your data just prompts you to pay them money. The reviews from people who actually bought the sub say they have to pay again/more. So they literally are just trying a last ditch effort to take in money before selling data and disappearing. STAY AWAY!

   SCAM. i’ve tried to email the developers multiple times and have received no answer. i previously bought the premium version of this app and now it won’t install anymore. it’s so frustrating.

   You have to pay. I have been using this app for over 3 years for free and now I all of a sudden have to pay. I used to have access to all of the features. All of my journal entries are now just stuck in this app. They won’t respond to my email.

   No App Support. Been using this app for years, back when you could buy a lifetime subscription. It regularly “forgets” I purchased the lifetime subscription and I have to restore purchase. This time, restore purchase isn’t working, and my attempts to reach out to three (!) different email addresses for support have gone unanswered after almost two weeks. And yes, I’ve had the app randomly delete all my entries in the past like other reviews have said, too. It was restored, but right now I can’t back up my entries because the app doesn’t recognize my lifetime purchase. Don’t buy this app; its competitors have better support, and the aesthetics of Grateful aren’t worth the headaches.

   Crooks. I paid for this app several years ago and am now being forced to become a monthly subscriber! Reached out to customer service and nothing. So tired of these apps taking advantage of their legacy customers. It used to be an app I recommended to others — never again. Deleted!

    Unimpressed I was forced to lose my data. The app refused to accept my passcode. It was unusable. To fix the problem I deleted the app and reinstalled it. But my entries are gone.

    👎, was a great app in the past. App unusable for almost 2 months with no response from developer. Update made app worthless, as some #s are in operable for password. This was a fantastic app. :( Will be happy to change rating if access is restored.

    So much potential. This SHOULD be the perfect app. Clean design, simple, customizable and offers backups. Perfect! 👍 Back ups don’t work, support is non-existent. To the developer, you built a wonderful app. I’d love to continue with your app, but if the back ups don’t work and you don’t give support it’s useless.

    No email response for over a week now. After the latest update, I was unable to log into the app because my passcode wasn’t being accepted. After deleting app then reinstalling, I have now lost all of my data from well over a year of using this app. I have written multiple emails to customer service inquiring how to fix the problem and restore my data with absolutely no response. I am clearly not happy and disappointed as a result.

    Thumbs Down. I had to uninstall the app because it would not let me enter my password to get into the app. It accepted the first three numbers but would not let me enter the fourth because it was blank. After about an hour of trying to get in, I uninstalled the app. After reinstalling it, I entered the app. It did not request my password, all my entries were gone, and my reminders were not set. I downloaded my backup from Cloud, and there were only two entries from November. All the journaling I have done is lost. By the way, I am a bundle subscriber.

    CANT CONNECT EXISTING GROWTH BUNDLE ACCOUNT. I already have the growth bundle but there is no option to log in to it like suggested on the website…was looking forward to using this app but they need to add a log in feature for those of us who already purchased…

    Buggy and unsupported. I have a lot of entries and want to export them to pdf but the app just hangs. These entries are precious to me and for all intents and purposes, they’re ‘gone’ (unless I screenshot them all). Last updated seven months ago and their support doesn’t respond to tickets. Find a supported app with fewer bugs and more features. Stay away from this one.

    Can’t be used across devices. Just like all the apps in this crappy suite of apps, this app only works on one device at a time. You can’t look at your tablet and and see what you wrote on your phone the day before. Super basic thing that 99% of apps can do. it even allows you to save to the cloud, but why? You’re just backing up your tablet/phone, which you probably don’t need to do anyways. Many, many other apps out there that do the same thing, work much better and cost less. Don’t waste your money.

    Love the app, but…. Love that the app allows to add pictures and the prompts are fun and helpful. But… my data disappeared and still no response from the app team for support. With over 100 entries, part of expressing gratitude included reflecting on previous posts. Not to mention, it’s a beautiful gift to share with those closest to you. My kids loved to look through my posts. Such a bummer they have vanished and the app maker isn’t supporting.

    I used this app for years and never had to pay a subscription.. I have used this app, at least it was called the same. And it was free. Now I got a new phone, and I got a message after 15 entries that, this is it. Either pay or forget it. That is lame. At least they should offer two options, a free one and a subscription based. And both should allow daily entries. You could offer extras on the subscription, but don’t just cancel people who don’t want to or can’t pay you. That’s mean and ruthless. As I indicated, the app I used which had the same name, I was using it fit years and years.
