   needs more features. i think it’s ridiculous that if you leave the app for a second or your phone locks, it completely refreshes the app and deletes whatever you had typed if you hadn’t submitted it yet. i’ve lost so many journal entries this way because of having to swipe to another app or do something else quick in the middle of journaling. it’s ridiculous. i also think you should be able to search through your entries. if i’m trying to remember when a specific event happened, i have to go through every single day around that time period to find the exact day. i feel like this would be an easy feature to add that would make the app a lot more user friendly. i also think it would be more beneficial to have a 5 star rating instead of 3 for my days. it isn’t enough variation.

   Trying to contact support.. I was hoping support could help me out- I’ve reached out a couple times (email and though website), but haven’t received a response. For the record, loved this app. Highly recommend. Just need support’s help.

   Piece of junk app. I literally just got over 20 notifications from this idiotic app in the space of us than 30 seconds. SO annoying. Just kept saying the same thing over and over again. Fix your dumb app.

   Bloats up to multiple gigabytes and can’t save as pdf. My journal has bloated up to 5gb at one point. There’s no way to fix this except to delete individual entries or parts. It’s tedious and defeats the purpose. There has been no way to save it as a pdf or otherwise offload it. So it’s been sitting on my phone taking up space, and I don’t want to add anymore to it, and I don’t really want to delete it. I’m stuck. iCloud sync is useless and will bloat your iCloud as well. Why not just let us download it as a pdf and clear it? After years of waiting for a fix, and not adding new entries, I’m just going to delete it. Sad.

   buggy abandonware & privacy nightmare. EDIT (2022): just realized that the app is also a privacy nightmare. 1. App Privacy Report shows that it’s still contacting ad servers even though I have financially supported the developers and was entitled to ad removal. 2. The app checks clipboard contents without having an obvious use for it. I’m downgrading it from 2 stars to 1, and deleting it immediately. Beware: (1) this app has so many bugs sometimes it doesn’t feel like it’s worth keeping it anymore. The worst offenders: (1.1) if you go back to change a previous day’s rating, today’s rating is sometimes automatically and accidentally changed to match it (1.2) if you just changed a rating for an interest, swiping to a different day and then back may cause you to lose that change. (2) The navigation is also clunky, the worst one for me being the fact that you can’t swipe left/right on weekly interests summary pages (found under “discover”).

   Abandoned and Privacy Concerns. Seems like a great app, but I’m concerned that it hasn’t been updated in over a year. When I open the app I get a notification from my phone that it’s not only pasting from my iPhone but my Macbook as well. I can think of no reason why it would need to scrape my clipboard on either, but certainly not my Macbook.

   iCloud Sync is Broken. It was very sad to see 2 years worth of daily notes were corrupted. After switching devices, I saw that most of the weeks that I have marked as red/yellow/green were grey and such. iCloud sync only half-works, so I really do not suggest this app if you are planning to keep records for years... It was mostly gone :(

   The app closes when the phone is put down for a moment. Anytime I’m having a good time journaling I sometimes have to stop typing for whatever reason but I would like to keep the thought as a while. This happens to me a lot and I feel like it regresses progress.

   AMAZING App! Now make it even BETTER!!!. I downloaded your app after trying several other journal apps to replace a journal that I had been using intermittently that quit working with the latest iOS update. Those other journal apps I had been trying all lacked one thing or another. Your Perspective program took me completely by surprise! What an innovative journal! It absolutely drew me into it! Dearest Blinky, I realize you have limited time and resources to devote to improvements. But PLEASE, I IMPLORE YOU, you really need to add a SEARCH feature that would search across and through numerous entries for particular events. That’s the most obvious reason for using a technology journal over paper and pencil—it should allow you to do SEARCHES. So, for example, if several weeks/months down the road I want to go back and read about my “sprained finger,” I can simply do a search and it will find the day that it happened and any days I wrote about it. A SEARCH capability would also seem to be a MUST for an app like yours that is encouraging us to go back and reflect on our past entries. So please, PLEASE do add this in a future update! It seems ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL to your design!!! Even the majority of other journal apps I have tried and used have this SEARCH feature across entries. This is so vital a feature that it is making me start to rethink if I want to change to a different journal app that has it! The SEARCH capability is a MUST HAVE feature! I have devoted a LOT of time into using your app with the hope that you will eventually add the SEARCH capability that most other journal apps have. I am getting nervous with how much I have poured myself into this without the ability to find specifics of what I’ve been writing in it! So PLEASE FIND A WAY TO ADD SEARCHES!!! Again, thank you for a very useful app! I am writing in it every day! But I really need for it to have that SEARCH feature added! That is a basic necessity!!! It is becoming a game changer, so please do add the SEARCH feature soon! I may have to change to a different journal app if it’s not updated soon!!! I am worried about investing all of this time and effort in writing entries that I cannot go back and locate information in because you haven’t given us the adequate tools! I cannot overstate it: a SEARCH ENGINE is a MUST! Add the SEARCH CAPABILITY across entries and I will give you 5 STARS!!!!!

    Great, with a few missing pieces/flaws. I downloaded several journaling apps at once and this was my favorite, if not for a few things. Let me say I love the birds eye view, being about to see how my daily mood weighs monthly, and the notifications are not as annoying somehow. Here's what I don't like: - I want to write notes in the days ahead to remind myself of special days or to-dos. Instead I have to use different apps for this. It would be much easier if they simply allowed me to enter in future dates. I'd use it without fail every day. -One of the notifications it gives tells me just smile! As a woman this is absolutely irritating to see. The other phrases are not a problem. This particular phrase has been historically used to condescend and placate women and should be reworded or stricken from the database. You could try something like "look on the bright side today" or literally anything else.

    Not happy. When i clicked ‘get app’ a notification popped up saying it was charging my debit card, then approved. I didn’t see anything about payment in the initial download and wouldn’t pay for an app without checking it out first anyway. And, the app won’t open anyway. Did I just get scammed??

    Doesn’t save!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Twice, I was in the middle of writing my thoughts for the day and I switched to another app. I go back to this one and ALL of my words are gone. Nothing is being saved when you switch to another app. 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Boo. Set up iCloud sync. ....and lost all my data for the last two weeks. AND I gave a donation for something I can’t use if I can’t trust it. I love many things about this journal. I even write to the developers stating my problem but no response. No customer support equals no new developments to improve app. What a shame.

    I loved this app, until a month of my entries disappeared. Before today, I would’ve recommended this app to anyone and everyone. But tonight, I noticed that about a month of my entries were just gone, and I’m very upset because some of those days were in depth entries of the days events that I would’ve liked to go back and look at in the future. If it wasn’t for this deletion, it’d be a 5 star app, but I can’t confidently recommend it if there’s even a chance that someone else will lose dates and memories.

    my recommendation. I bought the lock. $1.99. Handy for people who have nose trouble: FBI, spouse, other cops. Buy it: assurance. I sent this to my granddaughter; she’s 20 now. We have our iPhone addiction in common. We trade tips, apps, messages and photos. So in the end she will know me better than I did my grandma. You think? I sent her this app suggestion. The developers chose a great color for the app. I set my app collection by color and the g/daughter thinks it humorous. ❤️Apple ❤️g/daughter more p.s. Boo Hiss! The fees! You have to pay for each device: phone, pad. Boo Hiss! Not gonna do it.

    No longer updated.. Really sad that this app isn’t updated anymore, because it’s the best journaling app I’ve ever used. I gladly paid on more than one occasion to support the developers, but it was never updated. Sadly deleted and moved on.

Cannot login through the App Store or even touching the icon itself. You’re immediately kicked back to your home screen. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND DON’T DOWNLOAD!!!!

    Disappointed. I poured my heart and all my inner thoughts, feelings and emotions into this place. Now as I wanted to review what I wrote, they’re gone!     Deleted all entries. A few weeks ago i would have given this app a 5 star rating. However last week after turning on the sync function all my entries (except for 2) disappeared. So disappointed as it was a great way to track my mood over time. Now it is all gone. Guess i will find another app to replace this one☹️. Also no response from the company even though i sent them a message.

    Recent update deleted all my photo entries. Update: I still haven’t gotten a response from the developer about why my entries got deleted. I did not get a new phone or reinstall the app so there’s no reason they should be gone. I wrote a message to support that got ignored. Guess I’m quitting this app completely. Hours wasted. I have no clue what happened but I went back to look at old entries and all the photos were missing, even though the photos are still all on my phone. I spent hours putting in all of them and making notes and really enjoyed this app. Why are they all gone? I’m probably not going to use this app anymore since it’s removing all my important notes like this.

    I wish this app wasn’t abandoned. I started using this app at the end of 2017. I really love it. Took a year break in 2021 and now I’m getting back into it. I just really hate the creators have abandoned it. No upgrades or bug fixes, no changes etc. It really is a great app and I wish someone else would pick it up and continue upgrading it and adding more features. I’m still going to continue using it until it doesn’t work anymore or takes up too much space.

    ALMOST my favorite app!!. I downloaded this app back in 2019 after trying maybe a dozen other apps first; but this one really nails a lot of things for me, like an easy to use UI that make seeing how my days went super easy, interests I can checkmark on each day I give attention, built-in questions to be even more mindful of my life, I could go on. However, the app went online for (I think) almost over a year, and it devastated me to lose 6 years worth of my journal entries. I’m more than happy now that it’s back, and I’d absolutely keep writing in it now if it weren’t for a few factors: Namely, the app doesn’t get updated anymore as far as I can tell, so the new features you can vote on to have added (or even donate for) will likely never come. The developers haven’t updated anything on the official social media since coming back this year, which worries me that the app might go offline again; maybe for good next time. And lastly, there may not be enough other people downloading the app for the developers to justify continued effort on this app, even if I personally love it. If anything, I’d gladly pay a one time fee if it meant the app gets continued support, but I’m not sure there’s enough people like me out there. In essence; great app. I love it. I wish it got more updates and community engagement/support so I can sleep knowing that my years of entries won’t be missing the next morning.

    Issues. Absolutely love this app as a journal however the user interface forces you to tell it whether you had a good week every time you open the app. Then the app shames you if you didn’t have a good week by telling you the next one will be better I don’t need my notes or journal app to talk to me Dev team PLEASE remove the mandatory happiness tracking it is so deeply annoying and makes your app so much worse
