   $54 a yr and the app doesn’t work. You would think when they charge you $54yr the app would actually work and not freeze up and the updates would fix that issue

   Pro ads are crippling. This used to be the go-to app; the intrusive “buy pro now” ads make it unusable. I’m not opposed to buying apps (am an AllTrails Subscriber) but this feels obnoxious. Will delete instead.

   really bad route planner. i want to use this but its unusable using the app to make routes. also i used a computer with a mouse pad and its also awful. im not gonna go sit in a desk with a mouse. will try to use other apps instead…. this one is terrible

   Useless unless you pay…. This app is absolutely useless if you don’t pay for Pro…. Literally 95% of the app is locked behind a paywall. Just disgusting. You guys ever wonder why AllTrails has over a million downloads? Because you can actually SEE useful information WITHOUT having to pay! Plus the paid version is cheaper! Get a clue…

   Useless without a paid subscription. I used the app for years and contributed to trail logs etc. When they started charging I thought, ok, paid for a subscription for a year. It wasn’t that worth it considering the information is crowdsourced and the app is never updated and buggy. It expired and I’m so disappointed with the free version. They make it totally useless. Can’t see any details and a pop up trying to get you to subscribe every five seconds. I’m switching to MTB Project and you should too!

   Deleted Immediatrly. I’ve used trail forks in the past. The poorly implemented obsession to funnel you into the pro version is extremely off putting. I’d recommend you try other apps. You literally cannot use the app without seeing “upgrade to pro” in a big banner on your screen.

    Always records an activity any time I use it for maps. I just want to see the map, that’s it. I never want to record an activity through Trailforks. It wastes my battery if I forget to stop it. Super annoying

    Poor tech. It would be a cool app if it worked. They either haven’t figured out problems all other apps solved 20 years ago or they are trying to be too smart for their own good. The app simply didn’t work for me on iPhone and tech support couldn’t help. Bummer.

    Buggy. Shadow of its former self. The app was so much better with no bugs prior to them charging for the app. Now it’s constantly buggy with the discover and feed icons frozen in the middle of the screen or it closes unexpectedly. If you zoom in too closely, you can’t click on each riding zone which you could always do years ago without endless bugs and icons disappearing.

    0 customer support. This is indeed my favorite mtb app out there, I've been using it for years. It's great, until you have a problem! Recently my app stopped working and saying "user has been deactivated" when I try to login. I have tried everything to login or reset my account, even tried to set up a new account which gave me a different error. I have reached out multiple times on 2 separate occasions for assistance from customer support. I receive an email with a ticket number indicating that they have received my request and will be in contact soon. I never receive any follow ups. I have reached out multiple times and always receive the confirmation email but member ANY support. If quality customer service is important to you I would look elsewhere.

    Not a good fit. This app didn’t work well for me. I was hoping to find new gravel or MTB trails and was sent instead into private land and electric utility trails too rocky for biking. Subscription was autorenewed, and when I saw it on my credit card statement, I immediately canceled but was told their policy is 14 days past renewal date. Predatory policy for a product that was a bad fit.

    Private roads are not public. They keep on wasting my damn time by listing public parking on a road that's completely private and gated off with security guard. I just wasted my time going to every single parking spot listed on this trail all of them are behind private gated roads There's no way on earth you don't know this there are multiple people rating the trail.

    App is unusable . Back button doesn’t work. I’ve tried closing all apps, reopening, reinstalling app. I’m using WiFi or good cell signal. App locks when I press back. I have to press every other thing in the app to try to regain functionality. For what people are spending this is not good. Mountain bike project works better and it’s free!

    Stuck icon. I have had a pro subscription for 4 years. Out of nowhere the icon ( gps triangle) that literally tells you where you are going, is stuck. I kinda knew where I was but it could’ve been bad. The temps were 8° today. I have used this for trail systems in five states. Literally planned lodging ,adventures camping everything all going off of this app. Then one day in the brutal winter, it just stopped working. I’m really hoping tech-support gets back to me. I don’t want to have to go with one of apps. I did all of their suggested troubleshooting. And all permissions were allowed so I don’t know what’s up.

    Lost Data Poor Account Sync. After many years of using Gaia, I can no longer recommend this product. I’ve lost all my data that I’ve collected over them many years after the app merged with Outside and Trailforks. The poor process of merging the accounts, data sync, or even managing to subscription made this a no thank you for me. There’s lots of competition that is making equal or better product without the headaches.

    The way this app used to be damn good. But now you cant even see the trail you are hiking on unless you pay for it is negligent as hell. Stripping away previous free features just to get people to pay, aint it. You want people to pay? Improve the product, give us a reason to pay…. Not by making it impossible to use on a free model. Garbage. Absolute garbage.

    Bought “Pro” with Outside+, but Outside+ never worked. I bought the $90/year subscription for Trailforks Pro with Outside+, but when I try to go to the “O+” icon, it keeps telling me to upgrade. I’ve tried every way to update and “restore,” as told by the app developer, but I’ve never received what I paid for. It is dishonest and it isn’t like this is a new and/or complicated bug fix. What a bunch of scammers!
