   Made a wire deposit in December, still has not been processed. I made a wire transfer to Bitstamp on December 16. As of today, more than two months later, the funds have still not been credited to my account. Despite multiple follow-ups, I continue to receive the same generic response: “The matter has been escalated to the appropriate department and is being worked on with great care and urgency.” There has been no meaningful update, no timeline for resolution, and no accountability. This is not a minor delay — this is a large wire transfer that has effectively been in limbo for over 60 days. For a financial institution handling customer funds, this level of delay and lack of transparency is unacceptable. I expected professionalism, communication, and urgency when dealing with significant sums of money. Instead, I’ve experienced repeated scripted responses and zero progress. If this matter is not resolved immediately, I will have no choice but to escalate formally through my bank and pursue further action. Extremely disappointed in the handling of this situation.

   Horrible app. They don’t allow transfer to external wallets. They demand a one hour long video chat to seemingly verify your actions??? It’s my money not there’s! All the phone number are out of country! The people don’t speak English . Don’t use This app! It’s a trap! Plus to return the money back to my bank account they charge $25.00 outrageous!

   Feels exploitative. All fees, 90% buy limit, and $10 minimum orders are made for you to bleed and leave money on the table. Don’t trust the ratings - read the overwhelmingly negative reviews.

They allow you to deposit money and they randomly terminate accounts with no answers to where your money is , their support team is the worst I’ve experienced, all they tell you is that they are working on the situation with no given update and this process can take up to 2 years to resolve. They are not US based and that says alot, they are terrible and thieves. I would never recommend anyone to this robbery app or bank, SAVE YOUR SELF AND STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM BITSTAMP

   Unexplained account withdrawal block since October 15. On October 15, I deposited funds to my Bitstamp account, added my cold wallet to the whitelist, and tried to transfer Bitcoin to it. The transfer was blocked without any explanation. Support replies only once a day, and after two weeks they scheduled a video call. During the call, they asked irrelevant questions, gave no clear reason for the block, but said that withdrawals would be unlocked within two days — which never happened. I call support almost every day, and every time they say, “I can’t influence the situation, but I’ll forward your request.” Then I receive the same generic email with vague wording and no real updates or deadlines. I’m shocked at how terrible the service can be at a supposedly legitimate crypto exchange in the U.S.

    Useless. As for businesses, this app won’t allow me to purchase bitcoin with a mainstream banking debit card. After ACH banking transfer setup, it virtually does not allow any deposits using bank transfer method, a critical feature. Even if you supposedly transfer, there is no history for the transaction.

    Don’t trust. Renewing ID verification and any account issue is literally like we’re back in 2007 you have to send an email for everything it’s archaic and can take up to a month to get an issue solved clearly the stamp/Robin Hood team does not stay up on the tech and it shows. If it’s taken over a month to resolve an issue or close a ticket for an issue somebody should’ve given me a call by now. And when you call them because you’re tired of it, the agents are more useless than you could ever know. Keep your money safe somewhere else. Don’t get locked out of it in not able to trade like me.

    Complaint Statement. I have been unable to withdraw my funds or trade any coins on Bitstamp for the past 29 days. After waiting over two weeks for an appointment, I completed their required video call verification process. Despite successfully completing verification, my account remains restricted, and I am still unable to access my funds. This is my first time using Bitstamp, and this experience has been extremely frustrating and concerning. The prolonged delay and inability to access my money make this platform appear untrustworthy. I regret signing up and will be reporting this issue to the appropriate financial and cybercrime investigation authorities for further action.

Hiding behind KYC - which they claim is for security (erm no idea which or whose or anyhow it could be more secure with that B.S.) - still shady practices they use. Simple solution - avoid! Oh - paid fake reviews and poor support - save your fingers for writing nonsenses - as many ppl have their own experience - why they shouldn’t warn others?     Terrible exchange!!!!. They wouldn’t let me withdraw my crypto. I was so frustrated I just closed my account and counted it as a loss. Notice how customer service always replies to the negative reviewers, but they never do anything to help. They just blame it on their “certain security procedures”. They don’t care about you but they do care about taking your money. Trade elsewhere if you don’t want to get robbed!!!!!

    Total scam. Stay away from these people, they will confiscate your funds for kyc and will string you along asking for this and that. No other exchange that i have used does this. They simply disable your withdrawals for both crypto and fiat and you won’t see your money for months! SCAM exchange.

    THE APP IS A SCAM. I downloaded this app and completed the verification process. After that, I purchased $500 worth of Bitcoin. When I tried to send it to my external wallet, the app wouldn't allow me to do so. It kept displaying a message stating that my crypto withdrawal was blocked. I received an email instructing me to book a video appointment to resolve the withdrawal issue. I followed the instructions, but unfortunately, I discovered that this was a scam. The woman I spoke with, named Mina, asked for my login details, password, and authentication security information. I plan to call my bank to request a refund, so please be careful and avoid falling victim to this scheme.

    app/fees are great, overall experience/support not so much. i generally try not to be sour grapes, but i just had an unforgivable experience. bitstamp effectively reported to the irs my cumulative transaction amount as profit. mistakes happen, whatever. i had to pay an accountant $1k to prove that i in fact did file my taxes correctly and owe nothing in back taxes/penalties. i reached out to the support team to ensure this won’t happen again, and they essentially responded “it’s not our fault, do your taxes properly.” pretty insane imo

    Totally broken and useless. Considering the stakes at play, you’d think the app would have basic functionality. Text input fields are totally broken. It really makes a user feel that their money is safe when they cannot even use the app, lol. Consider spending even 1% of your insane transaction fees on UI, UX.

    Archaic video interview. They hide the fact in terms of use that to send crypto, you have to do a video call at outlook link. They don’t prompt you to do this until you get block error. You call them and they send Outlook link, but then no schedule dates ever show up. Most apps do this verification right in the app, so this is quite archaic!

    Worse App Ever. I recently downloaded this app, I signed up and filled in my info, then to make deposits you have to protect your account through 2 factor Authentication app, I struggled with that for days and calling and emailing support for help but unfortunately no help came as email support takes decades to reply to emails. I was so determined I had to figure a way out myself, upon fixing 2FA without supports help, I was told by app to verify to Level 2 to have unlimited deposits and withdrawals, after collecting sensitive and personal info I got an email my account verification was successful, I went into the app and clicked on on deposit, I stumbled upon a message saying “DEPOSITS ARE CURRENTLY DISABLED” I reached out to support on several occasions but no feedback till now. What an awful experience.

    Authenticator is broken. Cant login because Two factor authentication doesnt work. Go through the entire setup process but the code never goes through, and yoy CANT use the app at all unless its setup so your out of luck if theres money deposited in your account. My advice, use Kraken instead. No 2FA, no problem.

    Terrible Customer Service. I have issues with both this application and the website. I have been locked out of my account for days. I’ve tried emailing and calling and yet still having the same issues. I just want to liquidate this account and move to a platform where I’m not constantly changing my MFA and can actually access my funds without jumping through a million hoops.
