   Door does not lock through app. App does not actually lock my doors when it states it did successfully. This could be a theft hazard making customers think doors are locked when they actually are not

   Broken revision. The latest version has introduced bugs that make the app hard to use to monitor car status remotely. The app was ok but not great before, now it’s barely usable

   Very broken app. Update 6/9/2026: This app has been broken for months, and Genesis is placing the burden on owners to contact them to explain to them the issues, seemingly blissfully unaware. The act of merely opening the app connected to a vehicle will confirm the issues. This is quite telling the state of their software at Genesis. I just installed the Genesis app on another phone that never had the app installed. This phone is still running iOS 18 as opposed to my main phone which is on the latest iOS 26. The issues are instantly replicated. I just did my part in ruling out my phone being the culprit. Genesis, please fix your very broken app. Original review below: As of two app updates ago, the remaining battery percentage display would disappear upon closing and reopening the app, showing "last updated --". When trying to go to the charge management screen, it returns "we're sorry, but we could not complete your request. Please try again later." While I'm at it, I don't need the app to log an alert that my car is unlocked, and I would have to go in there and dismiss the alert, in two sections under "activity" and "alerts". It's pointless, cumbersome, and annoying. Into my 4th year of Genesis ownership. Occasionally the app would show my car's location being in Costa Mesa. This issue is still present. The car is fantastic. The software not so much. And this app in particular is the absolute worst.

   Terrible. Constant errors, digital key won’t setup, remote start fails more than it works, remote unlock or lock takes ages even in areas with absolutely perfect cell signal on the car and phone. The Tesla app (and car) are light years ahead of this.

   Love the vehicle, NOT the app. I absolutely love my Genesis vehicle, but I do not like this app. This app is difficult to navigate and you cannot control everything from the app. The only thing that the app is good for is identifying whether the doors and windows are locked unlocked, opened or closed. It is also good for honking the horn and flashing the lights and locating the vehicle. Unfortunately, you are not able to open or close the windows with the app or lift or down your liftgate with the app. I have had a recent issues with my tailgate going up unwarranted and if I’m not able to get to my vehicle to close my trunk, then it’ll just be open until I can close it. The downside to this is that I am a traveler, and if this happens while I am out of town and my vehicle is parked in a parking garage then my liftgate will be open until I return to my vehicle, IF the vehicle is still there when I return because I cannot close my liftgate remotely. The only thing that makes this app useful is the surround view and notifications that you must set up yourself. Otherwise, the app is about useless.

   Doesnt show battery charge. With the latest app update, battery charge is no longer displayed. That’s like one of the core features of this app.

    must have fake reviews. this app is terribly slow and clunky. I spent more time logging into the app than doing anything else. why does it log me out all the time??! why does it send a push notification after i arrive asking me if i’d like to continue navigation??! Why does it refuse to start my car if the doors are unlocked? can it not figure out that it needs to lock the doors and then start the car? is that if/else logic too complicated??! this app would have been good in 2012. in 2025 it’s amateur hour Did they really rebrand this to be “intelligent” lol. nothing intelligent about it

    Remote start is poor. Why isn’t the heated seat option not available for remote start when you can start the heated steering wheel? It’s also very glitchy and doesn’t always work.

    Remote start. My app keeps failing to start my car and when I start it with the key even though all of my settings are set to winter mode it starts my car at 72 with the ac on

    Can’t enroll. What’s the point of writing this? App unenrolled my car months ago, and hasn’t worked all winter. I’m not your trouble shooting IT department. Fix it.

    Apple Watch features not working. Downgrading from 3 stars to 1 star since this issue I mentioned months ago has not been addressed. PLEASE fix the integration with Apple Watch. Every time I attempt to perform an action with my cellular Apple watch, eg Lock Doors, the action fails and I’m instructed to log in again via iPhone. The watch app needs to remain logged in once it’s been authenticated on iPhone. Thanks!

    Auto start issues. The auto start rarely goes through on the first try. This has been an issue for me on two Genesis vehicles. Need to fix this. Also, why isn’t their an oil life feedback in app?

    Half-baked App. The Genesis App is the number one reason we won't buy another Genesis! Coming from a GLE450, we had high expectations from Genesis and the app failed to meet any of them.  1) Security Token Expiration  -  the login token really needs to last more than 15 minutes. THIS bug is the number 1 issue in the app that is preventing continued support of Genesis for us. Nothing is more frustrating than a feature that is a half-baked user experience. You try to send directions to the car from Google Maps (a "supported" feature) but it fails with a "Unable to share the location since the account is not logged in" even though you just used the app LESS THAN 15 MINUTES AGO!!! You now have to stop the sharing dialog, open the Genesis app to login, then go back to Google Maps. 😡 2) App Response Time SLOW - the app response time is ridiculously slow! Imagine you're in a parking lot looking for your car so you open the app. Of course you have to login...again(!!!) then click on flash lights. Your waiting...and waiting. You think you did something wrong, but nope, it's just THAT slow! 3) Can't Lock the Doors - yes, you read that right. You're in the mall but not sure if you locked the doors or not, so you open the app. BUT FIRST you have to login (this gets OLD real quick!!!) then you notice your suspicions where correct, it's not locked! No problem, you just logged in for the hundredth time today, you'll just lock them via the app. Now is when you find out that it will SOMETIMES work...but not always. The fit & finish of the GV80 Prestige is awesome! Too bad Genesis is letting bad UX and app dev block future sales!

    Rarely works. I have downloaded this app numerous times in hopes that something works better…or works at all! When trying to use the climate start, it 1) rarely works and 2) if by chance it does work, it takes forever to start or to give me an error message. Just seems like the app should work better. Very disappointed-again.

    Door locks not consistent. Doors will not lock or unlock consistently even when key is detected. I have had to find key in purse to make this process work.
