   Acura ZDX. Absolutely laughable that Acura calls themselves a Premium automaker. Service is absolutely horrible. Open safety recall and the fix is six months out. Absolute garbage purchase.

   Stop auto-launching the app. Whenever I connect my phone to the car via Bluetooth or USB, the AcuraLink forces itself open. The app is for remote start and lock/unlock. The app has no value while I am already sitting in my car. It’s just a useless annoying feature with no apparent way to disable. Change ASAP please

   Worst app after their worst Acura EV app. Having suffered through the old Acura EV app, I had hoped this version would finally fix things. Instead, it’s a massive step backward. Load times take up to 30 seconds, and the app completely refuses to Authorization to my ZDX—tapping "start authorization" just loops back to the Home Screen. To top it off, customer service is so overwhelmed with complaints that their automated response basically tells you to wait. I am stuck using this app for my ZDX, but it is easily the worst car app I’ve ever encountered. Update on 6/18 After I submitted the claim Acura representative did call me but I had to explain exactly what I wrote on claim description. Then Acura sends me “Currently, we are still reviewing your AcuraLink concern with our internal team. We will follow up when a fix is applied or an update becomes available.” Every three days. Now… it has passed 15 days since my original claim. This is a joke that “internal team” cannot figure out their own app issue for more than 15 days. Not only app but service is also horrible.

   The app is trash. Bought a new zdx, and went through transfer of the vehicle to my new account with Onstar. It’s been 24hrs and every time I try to login it sends me through this never ending circular loop telling me to enter my vin, it’s registered to another account, sign into that account or transfer to me with Onstar. I did the latter already so I click sign into that account and it takes me back to the vin process.

   Worst app. This is my fourth Acura, and every time I upgrade I get excited about the tech improvements but the app experience keeps disappointing me. As a repeat, loyal customer, it’s frustrating that there’s still no profile tied to my account, even though Acura can clearly email me directly. When I tried switching from AcuraLink EV over to AcuraLink, I got completely locked out. I reset my password multiple times and got the same error every time, even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app. When I called support for help, I was asked for my VIN which I couldn’t easily provide since I was locked out of the very app that would have it. For a luxury brand, this level of friction doesn’t match the experience I’m paying for. Please invest in the technology and connected experience recognize loyal, repeat customers and make account access seamless instead of a multi-step troubleshooting nightmare.

   account creation. i’ve been trying to create an account for the past 30 minutes and it’s not working at all because of the password “requirements not being met” even though i’ve used the suggested passwords apple gives me multiple times and it won’t say what it wrong with the password and it’s really frustrating

   Miserable app. Not good. Read most recent reviews. No way app is apple rigged algorithm score. App is error after error. Acura threw this garbage to fill a checklist. Nothing works. Errors. What is purpose of remote start if the car turns off when press gas pedal! What a joke! Battery status is just an icon— no useful feature. Junk app just opens for no apparent reason.

    Can’t change password. I can’t change the password and if I try and sign in on another device, it says I’m temporarily locked out but say how to unlock or for how long.

    Issues with AcuraLink. The app has been down more times than I can count. Always an issue I have called plenty of times, nobody can ever help. Very disappointing since this is my 8th Acura and might be my last .

    Often glitches. Often glitches and cannot connect. Location of vehicle is often off or not found. When I use the app to start my vehicle I can’t unlock the car, I have to use the app to turn it off then I can use my key.

    Useless. I’m really disappointed in this app. After my trial membership ended, none of the basic complimentary features work. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and followed all the troubleshooting advice. It keeps saying it’s activated but it’s not. Lexus is running circles around Acura at this point.

    ZDX Functions mostly do not work. Migrated from the other Acura EV app thinking this would be better. It’s just as bad. Commands do not go through (climate, lock/unlock, etc) and the refresh to get the battery percentage has worked maybe twice since I’ve had the app over the past week.

    Worst Car App. The Acura app is by far the worst car app I’ve used. It’s expensive for what it offers, yet the performance is unreliable and frustrating. Remote commands are slow, the app frequently has connection issues, and the overall user experience feels outdated. I have Carlink on my other vehicle, and it’s a night-and-day difference. Carlink is cheaper, responds faster, and simply works when you need it. With Acura’s app, I’m paying more and getting less functionality and reliability. For a premium brand like Acura, I expected a much better digital experience. Unfortunately, the app falls far below expectations and is one of the weakest parts of owning the vehicle.

    Car No Longer Supported. I tried logging in to check my VIN without having to go to my car. The app now says my 6-year-old car is no longer supported! This app was one of the selling points of the car, and now I can't even look up my product information or schedule maintenance any more, let alone all the fancy subscription features. If you're interested in Acura and would want to use app, don't expect them to support it for 5+ years. Acura may be known for their long lasting cars, but they certainly aren't acting like it. UPDATE: Please consider my feedback for CURRENT PRODUCTS! I want this feature back!!!

    Slowness. Hoping this latest update fixes the slowness of the app. If I open the app to make sure my car is locked it should take so long to refresh and tell me. My husband’s truck app is super quick.

    Garbage. This GD app has literally been close to causing an accident because it automatically initiates after you start your car or place it on the charging tray. You receive a call or text, pick up the phone anticipating answering it, then have to worry about friggin’ closing the app while driving. It generally works, but not worth downloading due to the hazard it creates. Do better Acura.

    Remote start inconsistent. The remote starts inconsistent and living in a cold climate. It creates issues, especially when you really need the car to warm up early. The app also has no option of changing settings and every time I get in my car, it opens itself. It’s really just annoying, but I also can be a problem if I’m on my phone.

    Update Fail. The app was working perfectly fine for a long time. After the overnight update, it stopped functioning altogether—vehicle information no longer loads, and remote start doesn’t work. It’s incredibly frustrating when an update is pushed to an app that was already working. Updates are supposed to improve reliability, not break core functionality.

    Disappointed with this app.. Hi. I don't understand how you can discontinue a specific model year of an Acura vehicle on this app, especially since this is the platform used to schedule vehicle maintenance appointments. I don't think it's fair.

    More of the same. I have been using the Acura EV app for over a year and half now. The worse app any human being could use. The app is unreliable and when works, maybe 20% of the time. I have reported the issue over five times and the answer is “sorry for the inconvenience”. I would rather you Acura stop the apologies, rather make the product work. Acura is supposed to be known for quality of their products. One can tell this app was thrown out there just to say they have an app. There has not been any serious development nor Acura has spent a dime to solve these issues. The reason for my review is, I received an email from Acura stating that the Acura EV app will no longer be available as of June 3rd and to download the AcuraLink App. After reading the reviews for this other app, I can see the same issues are happening with this other app. What is it going to take for Acura to fix these issues? Personally, after my lease is over I am looking at other EVs, starting with Tesla. My EV with Acura lacks more than 50% of the technology other less expensive EVs offer in the industry. I think, shame on you Acura. Your customer base deserves better. As I mentioned before, Acura is known for making great vehicles. But unless you step up your game with EVs, I’m out. Fix your issues, every customer deserves a working product each person paid for and expects for to work properly. Any one can get better performance from any free app on the App Store. Make it happen or you will lose your customers.
