   Great app. I have had this since it came out now that your subscription model is out why didn’t our purchase of the frugal count that’s why the two apps subscription is killing the App Store you were supported by those of us who chose it now it won’t update launches or the brightest. Guess we have to pay more.

   Update broke it. Latest update broke best feature that allowed you to point your device at the sky and see a depiction of the sky and then track changes as you move your device. Now it no longer tracks and is hard to get it to update if at all.

   Bait and Switch. This is a good app. However, I bought it (it wasn’t cheap) because the developer said in his description that people shouldn’t have to constantly pay to upgrade. Now he’s going to a monthly fee system. That’s changing the rules in the middle of the game. I honestly feel like he lied and I will be moving to another app. There’s lots of really good astronomy apps to use. The developer has said he doesn’t owe anyone an app for life, but he sold the app with the assurance of continued support. I guess personal integrity isn’t as important as cash flow.

   Bait and switch. I paid for Luminos and now the developer is switching to a subscription model. I understand a developer wanting a continuing revenue stream, but this developer is moving features behind the paywall that I along with every other purchaser of Luminos already paid for already. That is not fair. We paid to purchase this app and are now being told “whoops the features you contracted for are now only available if you subscribe and pay continuously”. It would be understandable if the developer was providing only new features behind the subscription paywall, but that is not what is happening here. The developer is taking features like “orbit” and “land” that were included in our original purchase, and moving them behind the subscription paywall. That is unacceptable. Everyone who purchased Luminos should give the new app one star ratings until the developers rectify these issues.

   Useless. Compass and gyro function, which they appear to call motion tracking, doesn’t work. I point it at the sky, and it doesn't orient itself to the actual starfield in the sky. Waste of money

   Much slower than competing products. Takes up to 1 minute to determine location, motion, etc. Downloaded both Stellarium and GoSkyWatch - which both were immediately responsive. This purchased app will be deleted ASAP.

   Really bad interface. This app gets 2 stars because it is, when you get it to work, really cool. If I were to rate this app based on the user interface I would give it less than 1 star. Simply put, the user interface is garbage. Too hard to use and an accidental tap will focus on a star or some other object and you have spend a few minutes clearing the mistake. One of the coolest features is the motion control. Simply point your device at the sky to figure out what star you are looking for. The problem is activating the motion control. I have been poking around for about an hour, still can't remember how to find it. Maybe it's no longer part of the app? Wish I could get a refund.

   Not stable, not what I expected - NO REFUND. Buyer beware. Tried app for one day and was disappointed in that it crashed every time when looking up Jim Kaler star data, night vision mode doesn’t work for wiki star data, not intuitive to use, etc. I just didn’t like the app after being a long time Sky Safari user. Found that the app is a non-refundable type. Never had a problem with refunds - ever. Wouldn’t have bothered with the review if I wasn’t ripped off for over $25.

    Un poco decepcionado. Compre la app ase poco y me encantaba tremenda app y creí que al actualizar seria mejor y si mejoro pero me molesto muchísimo el como se ven los objetos menores o asteroides antes eran puntos de color naranja y otros colores y no se observaban tan mal pero ahora son unos círculos mas grandes que parecen rosquillas o donas en el espacio y se ven horribles antes me encantaba verlos y siempre los tenia puestos en las presentaciones de astronomía pero ahora ni los pongo dañaron la apariencia realista del cielo de la app con eso lamento haberla actualizado.

    crashes. had to remove this app as it closes spontaneously and freezes the app. I have over ten astronomy apps. I actually like the display and features here but the crashes drove me to delete it.

    An unusable.mess. I used this some time ago but it seems to have turned into another developer led mess. Looks like I got a response from the message creators. I suggest you read Steve Krug. This is a catastrophic unusable car crash of an app.

    Search problems. Why do I get no results when I search for such commonly known objects as the Large Magellanic Cloud (and various others)? And why is there no message when there are no search results? It gives the appearance of not doing anything. For the price, I had hoped to at least find some of these items that are findable in much cheaper or free apps. The User Guide should also be more detailed.

    Update erased mount info. I made the mistake of updating to the cloud storage version before taking my AP mount into the field with my iPhone 8+ running ios13. It erased all the saved IP/port etc info for the network connection and I didn’t have the info with me. The only reason I use this rather than Sky Safari is the superior mount support, so this poor experience (no QA/attention to detail?) left me disappointed enough that I will not be recommending it

    I didn’t order this app. I have no idea how this app got on my phone. First thing I knew about it was when I received the email receipt. While looking around the app, I noticed that tapping the home button never worked- instead it thought I had selected some obscure star that happened to be right next to the home button. Can you tell me how to give this app back and get a refund? Has anyone else had this app appear on their phone WITHOUT ORDERING IT? I was wondering if I got hacked or something because I don’t have kids and my wife does not use my phone. The ONLY way the purchase could have occurred would be perhaps a caffeine induced double tap while perusing the app on the App Store or a side effect of an ulnar nerve problem that makes two of my fingers numb. Anyway, I’ve had it way too long for any attempt to get a refund , plus I’ve used it. No biggie, I pay more for a bottle of wine, and the wine is gone after one use! Thanks for the reply.

    Great but won't control AP Mount. Looks Great but won't control my AP mount with CP4. Connects but won't slew, park or do anything. Says timed out. Other competitors app works fine with mount.

    Lost my lists. Really enjoy the program, but I had three lists of thing I've seen and all three have disappeared and the info I'd entered for my scope has disappeared in the latest update. Otherwise this'd be rated higher.

    JSG in Brazil. It's an ok app, but when you turn the Atmosphere button off it crashed, I tried it many times and the same thing happen's, so I hope they fix it in a future update if not I' going to delete it and waste my money. If you are going to buy an Astronomy APP the best is any of the Sky Safari APP's I have the pro and worth every penny. I control my 11" SCT on a CGEM mount with this APP.

    Very disappointing and very expensive. For what you pay for this app you have the right to expect more......way more. Many solar system moons missing and no detail on the ones I could find. When zooming in on Titan it was a blank sphere. Planet images are one dimensional and can't be rotated. New version crashes all the time. Way better apps out there for way less money and the latest upgrade is even worse.

    ok but too expensive. I have just about every other iPad astronomy program so I have a good base for comparison. This program has a lot of potential but it is way overpriced for the state it is in currently. The panning is very smooth. The visual of the sky is very realistic. But there is no way to customize labels. The program decides what to label and it labels very few items. I also hate the way labels are displayed at an angle. In my view the program is really not ready for release, at least not at the price being currently charged.

    Not great. As an educator, I pretty much pick up anything on the iPad that might be of some use for middle school or high school kids to get excited about the topics we're studying. There's really nothing exciting here compared to the many other astronomy apps out there and the user interface is not intuitive enough for any casual user to persevere past. My recommendations for visual interest and easily accessible interesting information would be sky safari or the solar system app by the elements people ( memory intensive, but useful and useable for general ed. ) This app seems to really not be worth the money at this point. Disappointed.

    Where are the instructions?. This is one of the most beautiful programs that I have seen. It would be nice to have better instructions. Flying around in space is fun, but better instructions would help me enjoy it more.

    Several glaring issues.... A solid sky chart Astro app. However, there are several long-standing, dismaying features. 1. The Cardinal directions, such as East, ESE, SE, etc. float *above* the horizon in the sky itself—among the stars! That’s just plain weird. Every other Astro app puts them below the horizon line, where they belong. 2. Even with a middling density of DSO names, parts of the sky end up cluttered with labels — but far worse is that they shift their positions dramatically as one moves around the sky chart. That’s distracting and the sliding around of the labels is much greater than in any other app. You’ll be dragging the sky chart east or west and suddenly a label will come rushing from the left edge and slide across the sky! Then it will glide left or right, sometimes up and down, etc. Compounding the problem, it becomes hard to tell which object the label belongs to as it moves to the left then to the right, then higher or lower, etc. All this is vertigo-inducing. 3. The labels are an odd mix — mostly long popular names and a couple of IC labels. But there’s no option to show M or NGC numbers! That’s a striking omission. 4. Tapping on an object leads to a set of center, zoom, & info buttons appearing in the sky — with a mini photo that’s barely discernible. It’d be so much better if tapping on an object popped up a larger photo with information right away — with choices below that for further actions. 5. Settings remained buried under a Search button; a strange location. It should be a top-level choice — e.g., right beside the Observe or Date buttons. Urge the developer to play with other apps, e.g., Sky Safari and the original Starmap Pro to see how all these things can be much better handled!

    Needs work. Though this app is very informative and useful, the interface is trash. It is incredibly difficult to use and it is hard to scope out certain stats and planets. Besides the interface, the graphics are also very lackluster and not worth the price. However, this is something I've noticed with most of the astronomy apps (no matter how expensive they are.) You could also work on adding more features to this app such as a journal and ways to keep your notes separated from one another without having to find the star or planet you took notes on through using that terrible interface. Other than that, this app is very useful and interesting.

    Ehhhh....ok...not great. For 7.99, I expected more. There are many missing images (for example, no M13 picture, no Dumbbell Nebula picture). I use my astronomical apps at my telescope, and, besides RA and DEC coordinates, I use magnitudes a lot (because I am not going to waste my time trying to find a 12th magnitude DSO when I know my telescope doesn't have the light gathering power for me to observe it) and the magnitudes are located way at the bottom of the description in tiny print in this app. Messier numbers?? Forget it. This software relies totally on NGC numbers. Sure if you search for a particular Messier number it will show you the appropriate NGC number, but once again, if you want to know the Caldwell or Messier number for a particular object you have to look way at the bottom in the tiny print for this information. Oh, and what is with the "Apple Core Nebula" . . . has somebody changed the name of the Dumbbell Nebula to the Apple Core Nebula? This is news to me (and annoying). Mizar is another one that has a "new" name in this app.
