   ai. i loved this app and have been using it for a while, but lately it’s been integrating ai more and more. sometimes text prompts (that stand alone just fine without an image) are accompanied by low quality ai slop images. as an app for writers making original and unique creations, i find it somewhat strange that it’s including images like this that rip off other artists, because stories are art, so isn’t this a space for artists to post their works? also, the concept of “ai feedback” for writing is so absurd to me. this is an app for posting your writing, and isn’t the whole point of the comment section to be for feedback from real human people who actually understand stories, instead of an algorithm that adjusts a writers unique style to make a work conform to the same standards of the novels it’s stolen data from and regurgitated over and over? it doesn’t actually understand stories and the feelings within them. it can’t make anything unique or original. there are plenty of other resources to go to for as much genuine, valuable human feedback on your writing as you could want, and it’s completely free. there are so many other issues with ai that i haven’t even mentioned here, too, and it’s harmful in so many ways to both writers and literally everyone else. it really shouldn’t be a feature like this

   Writing prompts review. This isn’t a platform to express everything on it I tell you that much I was banned today because I wrote one of my poems I had. And it was why I was thinking being expressive is what I was doing and got banned if you are thinking about doing creative writing don’t be on this platform it’s unfair and biased

   Scam?. I’ve been using this app for a year and have enjoyed it, but it recently premium expired. When I opened the app, there was an offer for half off. Clicked the link, paid, was charged full price of $89 instead of $44.50. As an added bonus, I still have no access to the app, receiving a note to sign back up for premium. Clicked the request for customer support and it took me to the “404 page not found!” So I’m $89 poorer and can’t even access the product.

   You have to pay for free write wth?!!!. I was looking for a place to share my work and maybe find like minded writers. What I found was nickeling and diming . A place you cant free write for free. Ridiculous!!!! I understand making money if I wanted to use your prompts or anything extra. Free writing though should be fee!! What a joke!!!!

    Paid Trash. You could do the same with a simple internet search. EDIT: Reply to Developer Response Of course you would say you find them generic as it benefits your bottom line. It’s easy to claim a simple search for free will result in “generic” results when you make people pay for generic prompts. You no doubt could find generic promos in books that are nothing but writing prompts. And I couldn’t care less what others do or how they use the software/app. It is irrelevant to my experience using it. I just thought it would bee cool to open it u, brows through prompts, and maybe write one using my preferred software. I even ‘saved’ some prompts to do later. They where lost after the update and I couldn’t get prompts unless I paid.

    Not for non fiction. This is probably a good program if you care about fiction, but when I went to set my preferences, there was no option for nonfiction or personal memoir or essay. Only fiction.

    Wouldn’t recommend too anyone as the developer lacks ethics!!. Back on August 8th the developer of this app had offered a promotion for a free 6 month trial with a promotion company helping to help them increase sales and get positive reviews for the recent negative feedback. Our experience 11 different people at our company at different times on August 8th had downloaded the app installed and went through the process of claiming the free 6 month trial subscription. For none of us could we get the promotion to appear as clearly written on AppAdvice Apps Gone Free and in multiple attempts to get a response from the developer he has yet to respond to any email with an explanation or solution for the issue. Seems very sketchy to offer a promotion too help get good reviews only to bait and switch offer nothing but even worse just to inflate downloads help his algorithm take the position of ignoring emails and just not caring seems not only unprofessional but incredibly unethical!!!

    Needs More. I wanted to like this app. I really did. But there were so many things missing. I couldn’t conform the algorithm of prompt suggestions to my preferences (by deleting prompts I didn’t like or promoting ones I did). And there was nowhere to free write. You had to use or a prompt or you couldn’t write. I loved that it kept track of my writing streak, but I wasn’t able to do all my writing within the app so I just kept losing it, which was disheartening.

    Stopped giving prompts, no way to contact. I bought the premium package that was part of the 7 day trail option. Less than a month in my prompt says I have gone through them, and need to change my settings. Even though I have only used the app ten times, I do as it asks, but it continues to say no prompts generated. I went through the app looking for a help center and get redirected to this long winded off app we page, that doesn’t help. This app wasn’t cheap and the lack of tech support completely unacceptable. If the company is reading this contact me asap!

    Very upset😠. I was so happy I found this app at first because it was motivating me to write everyday. I was doing great! I would give a great review, but because of an email I received from them, my thoughts completely changed. First of all, I am a true Christian and I love God a lot for he has made an impact in my life in so many ways. I include God and Angels in my writings because of the inspiration they have in my life. They told me that my writings were in violation with their platform because I OPENLY TALKED ABOUT GOD AND INCLUDED GOD IN MY WRITINGS!!! THESE PEOPLE WHO OWN THE APP SAID THAT I COULD NOT TALK ABOUT GOD AND SHARE MY VIEWS ABOUT HIM IN MY WRITINGS!! I WILL NOT SUPPORT AN APP THAT DOESN’T LET PEOPLE TALK ABOUT GOD IN A STORY. Very sad.. what happened to FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND RELIGION? All I have to say is WOW!! For the record, GOD KNOWS ALL AND SEES ALL. And developers, fyi.. tell people ahead of time that you all don’t support religion. It’s a shame I really liked your app too, but I am going to tell everyone I can not to support your app because of your views on God. I say this so people don’t waste their time and energy creating a beautiful piece if they shall and they are motivated like I was just to find out that I did all this work for nothing. 😠

    Deceptive. At first this seemed great and had a great idea given to me. It now it’s the third day of having this app and it hasn’t given me a prompt, it’s still the same one as yesterday. Are daily NEW prompts a premium only feature? If so, I’m out. Update: it’s definitely a pay-to-write app. You get very few free options and there taken away after your first day. And the price seems extremely high: if it was $20 and under, I’d consider it but $35. No way.

Limited times you can write per day.. unless you pay? another subscription based app that provides you with nothing you can’t do on your own with even the tiniest bit of imagination.. and we’re writers so..

    Why?. I am a nine year old. This app is not appropriate for ages four and up. It isn’t even appropriate for me! Here are some reasons why: 1. Creepy clown for preview 2. Sexuality 3. Cussing Parents, find a different app if your kids want writing prompts. As for the developer, change things for my sake. Change things for everyone’s sake. Stop this horror right now!

    Can’t sign in. I’ve just gotten this app after having heard great reviews from some friends who’ve been using this app for a little bit, and when I got it, I was really excited. I’ve done the first prompt given before you make an account but when it asked for me to create an account and I signed in with my email, it won’t let me get past the confirmation email. If I click the link that says, “click this link to sign in,” I am just sent back to the “check your email” page and am not signed in. I cannot give an accurate review if I cannot get on the app. Please fix this!

    Can't sign in :(. Looks like this will be fun to play with, but it won't sign me in. When I go to the create profile or sign in page, it says there will be an email sent with a 'magic link', but I've done this a few times now and no email, which means no login. Nothing in the spam folder either. :(

    Buyer Beware. The concept of the app is good, but a recent bug wiped out my data on the iPad . I can still access the app from the website so I thankfully did not lose my work. No way to contact support. The support page from the App Store is a 404. I’d recommend looking for an app that has decent user support.

    Not what I expected. I was so excited when I finally got it, I answered all the questions as my excitement grew even more. When i was done with the questions, I learn that you have to PAY. 😭😭 anyway, if you think this app is free and you are about to get it, think again. If you are willing to pay the $$, than, yeah, it a great app

    Unable to access app without payment. I downloaded the app after reading that it has free features and paid options are, well, optional. I wanted to see if it was something that would work for me before paying for a subscription. Upon completing the app setup I can’t move beyond the screen that presents paid subscription options. Is it not possible to use this app without buying a subscription? Is the free version a different app entirely?

    Uses AI Art. I want to like this app, and I’ve found it useful for getting back into writing, but I absolutely cannot get past the use of AI art for the visual prompts. For a platform that focuses on creativity and sharing your art with others, the fact that it cannot do the bare minimum of using real people’s art for inspiration is abysmal. I’m now concerned this platform could be used for data scraping. Will be looking into the TOS. Disappointed but not surprised.
