   Want my Apple password. I would stay away from this app. They make it almost insanely impossible to cancel subscription. If you delete it you will keep getting billed with no warning. You have to cancel first then delete. No directions on how to cancel except a hour search on internet. If you delete app before cancelling you can not get back into your account to cancel.Then you have to go though Apple or credit card hopefully for results, why??? You have to jump through hoops the whole way if you can find them. I did not get took as I found all this info researching and verifying when I decided to cancel. I also followed up with cancellation letter and screen shots on day 4 of free version. If you are going to keep this for 10 years it might be ok but I do not like these tactics.

   Cost?. Am I missing where the cost is mentioned in the information in App Store? I would have liked to known the price before spending time signing up. Didn’t even try app. I don’t sign up for free trials.

   Scam Alert?. It’s a good app, works as advertised. I tried the free trial version, but decided to cancel because I didn’t need the extra features. Then I get an email from MapMyWalk saying my payment failed and I needed to update my payment information in the App Store. WHAT??? First, my information is current, second Apple would notify me not you, third as a developer you know nothing about my payment information in the App Store. IS THIS A SCAM?

   App OK but has Issues. I’ve used this app for several years now and the word suggestion function stopped working properly 3 years ago. I put in a software change request, received a confirmation of receipt, but it still doesn’t work. Now when I open the app it sometimes just hangs. I get out and reopen it and it will close itself. On the third try, it usually works. Very frustrating!

   Why does this app collect so much data?. Why does this app collect so much data? It is not necessary for you to know everything about me to provide something as simple as mapping out my walk. DELETE!

   The app keeps stopping.. The app keeps stopping at 8.5 miles even when I’ve walked more than that. Very frustrating and disappointing!!

    Not accurate. The weekly performance never adds up with the daily performance. It’s inaccurate and it’s discouraging. After a few weeks of continuous incorrect workout logs I have made the switch to Strava.

    Walking Tracker Consistently. Disappointed because your app used to log correctly. Everything is updated but tractor fails. Used to love you, but not anymore. I need consistency in my life today. 😒

    Poor map tracking. I compare this app to Strava every time I walk. Rarely does this ever track the correct map and location.

    Privacy Exposure. With zero privacy, even violating international consumer privacy laws, this app is worthless. Their T&Cs basically require you to allow them to use your location any way they deem necessary with zero privacy or anonymity. Beware of the terms and conditions for this app. . .

    No mapping. Used to work, had it for several years but now it won’t track my walk since my son got me an Apple Watch.

    Wiped out almost 2 years of my walk history. I used to love this app. I logged over 500 miles in 2025. It had been wonky in the last few months- it would stop recording a walk after a few minutes. Today it said my app was outdated so I thought maybe that was why it was not working. So I updated it. Now all those walks I did over the last few years are gone. Very sad. Will not use it recommend this app anymore.

    Trash - so many better options. Does a terrible job actually mapping your walk, VERY disappointing considering it’s in the name!!! Also isn’t very good at keeping your distance

    Why say you’re free when you aren’t?. Can’t really say if this app is any good because you can’t even start it until you get a subscription despite it being “free” on the App Store. Tired of apps/companies not being honest. If you’re going to charge, just say so.

    App doesn’t keep running in the background. Every time I leave the app during a run to check my phone, or listen to music, it pauses the app. Also I lost the map track feature.

    Terrible. So I’m trying to get back into working out. And today I turned on this app. I even double checked it. At my half way point 2.5 miles it said I walked one mile. My route shows half the route I walked and the other half as the crow flies. But only measures the half I walked. Talk about downer. Did nothing for me but frustrate me. Now I don’t even know how far I went and have no calorie info. It’s all just guessing I don’t know when it record and when it doesn’t.

    No Option Signup. I downloaded app & immediately deleted. Upon opening you create & account but you must agree to the paid MVP trial period then cancel. Wasn’t for me I just need a simple map my route.

    Is the update or the new owners the issue?. Two weeks ago my series 3 iwatch synced perfectly with my iPhone. After the latest update from Map My Walk the app disappeared permanently from my iwatch. I did all the suggested possibilities to rectify this issue: check for update, turn off both iPhone and iwatch then rebooted, Unlink the iwatch from the iPhone. None worked!

    Subscription only?. Not worth even opening this app again since they automatically sign you in with a “free trial” and in 14 days they start charging you for MVP. I don’t want whatever it is- they don’t even tell you what or how much it is. You don’t get an option- just take it or leave it?! (I’ve used this app in the past but if I don’t know what I’m getting now, why would I pay for this?)

    Spotty at best. I’m not sure how this app gets such good reviews. I was looking for a simple app that would track my daily walk and announce my pace at every mile, so I gave map my walk a try. My buddy, who lives in a more urban area, loves it. My experience has been much different than his. I walk in farm country with lots of hills and it’s very rural. The app constantly loses track for several minutes about every third walk. I have a much simpler app that tracks distance, steps, and total elevation change, but does not announce. It has never once lost track. I tried map my walk last weekend on a popular public trail in a wildlife refuge, and even there it lost track several times. My friend’s Android app did not. I can’t recommend this app and do not believe the good reviews.

    App Constantly Times Out. While using the app, I noticed that it would constantly time out on my iPhone, causing me to have to unlock my phone in order to monitor my performance. What’s with that? Perhaps you have to use this app in conjunction with an Apple Watch, which I do not do. Until I can figure out the issue, this app gets a generous 1-star rating.
