Can’t watch videos bc of Ads. Can’t watch a single video without being interrupted by an ad after literally 2 seconds of the video. The video just stops and if you try to play it again or ffwd, you get ads. You can’t even get back to the video you were trying to watch.

Radar. Radar moves way too fast. Hit pause; time line disappears. Too much white & distracting clutter in way. More radar space & less garbage. Some of us like to predict & be more accurate than forecasters.

It Was Better in the Past. The app is too busy and I don’t know why I need 2 ads of the same business in one small app. The whole page is too busy. Yes, someone is sponsoring this app but I would ask the developer whether this app is about delivering ads or providing a service regarding local weather? Also how fast do you need to run the radar? If we blink, the scroll is at the end and I can’t even tell what the timing is of the radar. We need the previous developers back as this app is a big MISS! AND, it use to be my favorite app for weather.

Incorrect temps. During the freeze it constantly showed temps around 38 or higher while the current temp is showed closer to 31 for hours. Their forecasted temps in the app made it look like it wouldn’t freeze despite ongoing conditions they were reporting in contrast. Every other app showed temps around 31 on the hourly except KXAN.

Cluttered. What happened to the clean view the weather app used to have. It is now so cluttered with ads it’s hard to read all the weather info. It makes me not want to use the app any more. Bring back the old format.

Terrible unreliable app!. Constantly crashes and links don’t load. Weather maps don’t function properly. Allergy forecasts don’t load. I’m giving up.

New Radar not stopping at current time. I like the old radar that stopped at the current time. This one does future and I can’t monitor what’s incoming. There’s no way to adjust this. Please bring back the old radar it was just easier and looked better too.

New app format sucks. This sucks. All these ads get in the way of being able to find what I’m looking for. I have used this app all over the north western hemisphere and liked the ease of it. Now I have to go through all these ads to find what before took two moves. I understand that the ads bring in revenue but I liked the simplicity of this app and have recommended it before, I don’t know if I would do it again.

Updated KXAN Weather App Without Substance. This updated KXAN weather app is difficult to navigate, does not allow one to watch the weather video or weather person of one’s choice and is annoying in the way it presents data. It is counter-intuitive and flashy with no substance and difficult user interface. I wish the previous version of the app had just been left alone! This is the nail in the coffin for me, I am watching KVUE weather & news from now on, after being a loyal KXAN viewer for over 15 years.

New update terrible!. Weather app worked great, then they had to fix something that wasn’t broken. It’s Terrible now. So many ads, and you have to hunt for the weather part of the app, bc now it’s just a News app. This Was one of my fav apps on my phone. Now, it’s the WORST!! DO NOT USE!!

Fix Your Video Player. Ads ads ads. I understand having to watch one ad before watching the weather forecast, but I refuse to watch another one when I then rotate my screen, and another one if I try to skip back 10 seconds (which doesn't work anyway, but the ad does!) and another one if I accidentally slide the app to one side and see my home screen for a second while trying to skip back 10 seconds. Oh, and yeah all those ads just hit the spot during a tornado warning when lives are at risk, don't they? Good thing you're getting that ad revenue! 🙃

Not good anymore. This app was previously fantastic. In the last year or more it has become incredibly glitchy and fails to load and closes abruptly. I would be fine putting up with that, however their forecast data and predictions have become worse and more unreliable than the actual app. KXAN is no longer reliable for local weather forecasts.

BRING BACK JIM. Disappointed that the voice of Central Texas weather, Jim Spencer, is no longer the audio used for warmings and alerts. So many of us find comfort and confidence with him. Bring him back to the app!

They focus too much on the sunshine and not on the rain we desperately need. KXAN Weather is not useful. They only tell us when to expect clear sunny skies and never give any praise to the rain we rarely ever get here in Texas. Screw you.

Bring Back UV Index. This is my most used weather app. Overall, I’m very happy with it. But at some point during the last year, the UV index was removed from the hourly forecast. I like to know what the UV index is before I go outside for a run in the evening. Can you please bring that feature back?

Horrible and Dangerous. I would be embarrassed if I was on KXAN’s weather team, they’re forced to push this app on air. The app is designed poorly and if you do manage to find what you’re looking for you’re going to sit through an ad to get outdated information or see broken radar. I wouldn’t trust this app with my life, despite the repeated on air push to download the app for alerts. If I want up to date information I have to use the actual KXAN website. If it was an emergency and I needed information quickly, I’d be forced to watch an ad for air conditioner repair before I knew if there was a tornado coming down my street. There are a number of free apps that actually work and don’t make you sweat through advertising to get an answer in an emergency. All my sympathy to the staff forced to push the app.
