   Waste of time. This is app is such a waste of time and doesn’t work and it can’t figure out what a tee-shirt is and will only get the graphic. And it’s really hard to use because it can’t figure out what a piece of clothing is and gets the color and every thing wrong about it. I’ve spent the past two days trying to get all my clothes into this app and it doesn’t work with half of my clothes. And if you piece of clothing is a light color or a graphic tee-shirt it will not be able to work. And it’s not the photo or anything because I would try the same piece of clothing multiple times and still wouldn’t work.

   Horrible: don’t download it, waste of your time. I spent hours working on my wardrobe just for it to tell me that features aren’t ready yet and i can just pair them manually. Thanks a lot.

   Needs improvement.. I’ve had this app for about a month or so now and have had problems with it. I understand it’s a developing app but for me to lose over 400 pieces of closing and losing my account due to a bug with the Apple sign in is not so ideal. There are bugs and errors that led to the app crashing, slow performance, and pieces of clothing not being uploaded after I took a picture causing me to close the app and reopen it again for it to work. After losing access to my account, I tried to recover it, but was unsuccessful. The issue was because I didn’t have any photos of the clothing I uploaded. I had used the app’s camera feature to take the pictures, rather than uploading them from my camera roll, so I no longer have access to those pictures. Not to mention the AI part of the app isn’t ready to use yet so that defeats the whole purpose. This app is currently in the development phase, and while it’s not fully functional yet, it shows great promise. The concept behind it is innovative, and with ongoing improvements, it has the potential to become a valuable tool. While the app seems promising it’s currently not ready for use. The functionality is limited, and the user experience needs significant improvement. Hopefully, future updates will address these issues, but as it stands, it’s not worth the download.

    “Colour analysis” feature TERRIBLE. I have some of the brightest blue eyes you can get yet every time i take a picture and “analyse” my colours the ai keeps telling me i have brown eyes. If this app cant even tell what your eye colour is, i’m not trusting it with ANYTHING else

    So bad. This app is terrible it costs so much to use it and you only get a 3 day free trial and you have to do so much more work to use it than pick an outfit I highly recommend you don’t get this app

    Ruined with newest update.. EDIT***** The newest updates have killed any momentum this app had. Social aspect has been removed so you can no longer see followed accounts for inspo. Generate outfits is now suggesting multiple hoodies/Tees/coats/joggers all in one fit. Not sure how you’ve ruined something so good overnight. Cancelled subscription for premium. I love the app, i’m currently a premium member (although i agree with another reviewer, trial period should at least be a week) however i love the concept & can see what they’re building towards. Public profiles need to be a thing, I am slowly building followers but they don’t have anyway of accessing my previous looks. This could be a great app, with the idea of building profiles similar to Instagram. Another thing that needs tweaking is the bot accounts. I regularly see accounts posting random pictures but still raking in 100+ likes. This doesn’t make sense to me, people use this app for outfit inspo, so how that can be promoted makes me question the validity. Overall this app has the ability to really make its own name & sit at similar tables as the likes of Instagram/Twitter for daily usage. Iron out some issues with lag/glitching, let people see other profiles & we could see Essemble really make waves in the fashion industry. @panakinskywalker - Follow me if you’re reading this!

    This was a big disappointment for me. What is the point of an app that I can download a picture of my clothes on to, which took literally forever ,expecting some help deciding what to wear with is AI generator but then I am told that I have to share an outfit that ‘I’ made on Instagram and tag the creator of the app so that I can be ‘allowed’ to use the feature which is the reason I download the app in the first place and that the other features they are advertising are not actually on the app yet so the only thing I can do without posting to social media is put together outfits which I could already do without all the hassle of this app. This was a real disappointment

    The AI Understands Your Clothes—Then Replaces Them. I think Essembl’s marketing and onboarding need to be much clearer about what the app actually does. First, credit where credit is due: the AI is genuinely good at identifying clothing. In every test I ran, it correctly recognized the garment type, colors, prints, and general style. The descriptions were often surprisingly accurate. The problem starts after that. I uploaded clean images of my actual clothes, including a dress, shorts, a peplum top, and floral leggings. The app correctly understood what they were, but then displayed completely different garments in my wardrobe. Not slightly different. Different colors, different cuts, different construction details, sometimes even a completely different vibe. At that point, it stops being a digital wardrobe and starts being an approximation of a wardrobe. For me, that’s an important distinction. If I wanted a generic pink peplum top for inspiration, I could simply search Pinterest for “pink peplum top” and get thousands of options in seconds. I wouldn’t spend time photographing my own top, removing backgrounds, and uploading it into a wardrobe app. The value of a wardrobe app is supposed to be that it contains my wardrobe. The App Store description says the AI can detect clothing, extract items, place them on a white background, and add them to your digital wardrobe. Based on that wording, I reasonably expected to see my actual garments represented in the app. If the app had clearly stated that it identifies your clothing and then replaces it with a representative or AI-generated version, I would have immediately known that this product was not designed for what I needed. This may work perfectly well for users looking for outfit inspiration or AI-generated styling suggestions. But if your goal is to create an accurate digital version of your real closet, be aware that the clothing displayed may not actually be the clothing you uploaded. My issue is not that the AI fails to recognize garments. Quite the opposite. It recognizes them remarkably well. My issue is that after doing all that work, the app seems to say, “Thanks, I understand what you own. Now let me show you something else.”

    Let me save you another worthless subscription. You’re paying for nothing, the app itself can be cloned in 15 minutes or less with tools like Claude code or Codex. You don’t even need an app actually, upload your entire closet in a repertory like obsidian or any folder, and let your favourite chat bot do the exact same thing. Not to mention, tons of bugs as of now, barely functional and the fits aren’t even that good lol. Steal the idea if you really need something like this and clone the app to your liking. You are so welcome
