Total waste. I spent hours entering photos of my wardrobe only to find out that I put the looks together. No help from the app. I wasted my time. I don’t need the app to do it all myself.

Wrong app for Men. Look for "Stylebook Men" instead.. Purchased this to start tracking my closet, but saw several typically female-gendered categories such as "dresses" and "heels" but missing typically male-gendered categories like "suits" or "dress shoes". Couldn't find an option to change category names or add new ones, or an option in settings that would switch. Upon further research there's another app called "Stylebook Men" that has these categories but is a separate app with a separate purchase. Unfortunately it seems that Apple doesn't allow refunds for this app.

Not intended for Men. Heard about this app from a recent news article and thought it would be a great way to organize. Read through the details and nowhere does it describe this as a woman’s app. The company makes an app specifically for men, but this is not it. They should make that known in the product details. If I had known, I never would have purchased this. I have absolutely no use for it.

Can’t clip from websites anymore. Every time i add a link to clip a product from a website the app crashes. This was my favorite feature for adding in new clothes since the image quality was typically better and now I can’t use it

Wish I hadn’t synced!. Syncing seemed like a great upgrade! But even though I first synced my main device, syncing duplicated items and added back items I had deleted. Now I have to go back through every category. Ugh! I DID NOT SYNC THE DEVICES SIMULTANEOUSLY. IT WAS AT LEAST A WEEK APART.

AI 👎. I’ve been using this app for a while and was pretty disappointed to see the addition of generative AI in the most recent update. You can’t even opt out of the AI auto cropping when you add an item.

Please get rid of the tip!. I am never going to sync to the cloud. I do not need a tip every time I open the app telling me to do it. If I was going to, I would have done it already. I also don’t like the red warning sign that appears by the sync symbol. It ruins the look of the app. Seriously considering moving to another option after 10 years. Why did you ruin it?

Update ruined it. It was great before the update, now I regret paying for it. The constant notifications to back up (I don’t want to, I have my reasons) and the constant “how to use the app” pop ups all over the place make it next to unusable. I’ve been using the app since 2023? I know how to use it at this point.

The App has been updated finally! Now Syncs. March 14, 2025, version 10. Yay! The much needed Stylebook App has finally been updated to allow syncing between multiple devices without going through a tedious, manual process. I love this App for keeping my clothes closet contents into a user-friendly database. Version 10, March 14, 2025. It’s handy for having on my iPad and being able to access my clothes via my iPhone while shopping.

Save your money - Very manual. I heard about the app from the articles of interest podcast and decided to purchase it. I regret it. It’s extremely manual and annoying to use. It has a seemingly useful tool called the clipper where it takes a website listing and imports the photo for you. The website page often also includes the brand and price and item name. However, the app doesn’t do anything to import that. You have to also add that manually. All of the seemingly useful tools like what color you wear a lot seems to be dependent on your manual input even though it should be easy for the app to decipher color from the photo. Also a lot of the Ui is not intuitive and it’s confusing when things are saved or not. I’ve seen free versions of the app that have less manual work.

Waste of time!. I spent HOURS trying to add my clothing. The photos don’t work. Even after I read all the tips and tricks. What a waste of time!! You have to have the perfect scenario for your clothes/shoes to look clear in the photos. Don’t bother!

Dinosaur of an app. I purchased this app hoping it would be helpful in organizing my closet. I’m disappointed that no matter what I do I can’t sync my phone to my iPad through the WiFi accept. Also the background remover is a joke. I’m a light summer, the majority of my clothes are lighter and the background remover actually removes the clothing as well. This is a waste of $5.

No Log In. It forces you to create an entire blog website to even log in so there is absolutely no way whatsoever to share your log in or closet between your devices if you don’t want an actual full on website this has got to be the worst log in stipulation I’ve ever seen for any app ever now I don’t know if I’m paying for a website or not???? HATE THIS

Antiquated and not smooth. Awful! I downloaded the app. Spent time taking photos and uploading on one device only to realize the data doesn’t automatically go to the cloud then try to share the data via an antiquated system that requires one device share data item by item with the other divide (iPad to iPhone) and rather than smoothly sharing I get repeated error messages from the sharing device that sharing couldn’t be completed. Not happy. Deleting the app.

I wish I could love it. I’ve been using some form of an outfit planner for years, and I want to love this one, but I just can’t. The background remover tool for the photos needs serious improvement. I literally can’t use it because the background remover is so poor. I take my clothing photos in good lighting with pure white backgrounds and still the tool struggles to remove the background efficiently. That to me defeats the purpose of a service like this. I might as well just use the camera roll on my phone.

Photo editor failure. Super disappointed. I simply cannot get a decent photo of any of my clothing. I have tried laying, hanging, different background colors, etc. hanging seems to produce the best image quality as others have noted, but hanging loses the clothing structure, especially for tops where the sleeves get lost in the body. I’m now starting to research cheats/tips/tricks, but honestly, it shouldn’t be this hard. I’ve used other closet organizer apps (all free), and this is the worst photo editor of the ones I’ve tried, and its the only app I’ve had to pay $$ for. Go figure. Can’t get to testing the other features of this app because I can’t get my clothing uploaded.

Can’t recognize pictures at all. I have a chalk heather color cashmere sweater and the stylebook can’t recognize either my or the official website’s picture at all! Also there’s no AI analysis on the size/brand/material/fabric anything about the picture so EVERYTHING is manual and cumbersome. Definitely doesn’t worth to pay for it. My Acloset is locked for some features like utilization stats but the free part is still wayyyyy better than this… Regretted I downloaded it 10min after I paid… So not worth it

Customer service bad. This is solely for their customer service. They wouldn’t listen to me and kept giving me the same solution over and over. Then they cut me off when they were done dealing with me. I’ve read through multiple reviews from 7 years ago, 4 years ago, and the issues they had back then are still prevalent today.

Background remover is terrible. I never leave bad reviews but the background remover is so frustrating and doesn’t work at all. I’ve tried three different locations with a solid background, my white bed sheet, against my cream wall, and on the back of my white door and nothing works.
