   Scam website. I couldn't even enter my bank card details properly; even after entering the full link provided, the system wouldn't proceed and just kept making me wait. It’s far too complicated—after finally managing to list an item for sale, the system wouldn't let the listing go through. I suspect this secondhand marketplace app is actually just a way to harvest users' personal data; even after exiting the app, there is no way to delete the email address, phone number, and ID information I had already entered.

   Waste of time.. As a seller, it’s pretty much a waste of time. The app is chock full of scam accounts. There are even fake 5miles customer service accounts that have been active all month. They won’t even shut those down. At least they took the counterfeit goods auctions off the home page. I’m sure that chased away a lot of legit buyers. Used to be a great app. Those days are long gone.

   Predatory app. I am writing to formally demand the immediate deletion of my 5miles account and all personal information associated with it, including but not limited to my name, phone number, email address, profile information, and any other personal data maintained in your systems. I have previously submitted multiple requests for account deletion. Despite those requests, my personal information continues to appear on your platform, and my phone number remains associated with the account. This is unacceptable and has caused significant frustration. I am requesting written confirmation that: My account has been permanently deleted. My phone number has been removed from your records and is no longer associated with any account. My personal information has been deleted from your active systems, subject only to any legal retention requirements. My profile and identifying information are no longer publicly visible on your platform. Please treat this as a formal request for deletion and provide confirmation of completion no later than June 29, 2026. If this matter is not resolved by that date, I will evaluate all available options for pursuing further action and filing complaints with the appropriate consumer protection and privacy authorities. I expect a prompt response confirming that my request has been completed.

   Wtf. You have to have a min of $200 in your physical bank account to sell your items, and they want your card info before you’re allowed to speak with the person who wants to by the item. Sketchy AF!

   Easy to scam people. I have been contacting customer service for days, I even reported this person who is using my pictures of my animals for her scam!!! I guess if people are using the app in some kind of way “business is business” right ? Ridiculous. Worse than Craigslist, at least you can flag scams for removal on there. This app is a joke.

   Complete scam. Ordered an item almost 3 months ago, still haven’t got anything in the mail and customer service won’t ever respond to you. If you like getting ripped off, wasting your time waiting for nothing and being ignored this is the app for you

May 17, 2026 Scammed out of $160.00 during account verification process through the chat support then 5mile chat offered to provide an extra $150.00 good faith compensation ONLY if I load an additional $300.00 to my card to complete the verification process for selling my items.    Items sold here are years old.. I’m on here looking for a playstation 5 pro and all of the listings here have been posted longer than 2 years ago. There’s no listing’s on the app that are recent, i haven’t been able to find a listing that’s recent or found reliable enough to pursue farther, i doubt anyone will get back to me let alone meet up with me to sell the item to me. That goes for almost any item on this app. This app is almost a ghost town now.

    My Posts Get No Views. What Happened To This App?. I've used this app during the earlier days. It worked great! I had no issues posting ads, getting views, or selling. Then changes were made: auction, boosts, 5miles cash, fees, and so on throughout the years. Fine, developers need to generate revenue, I get it. However, this app seems to be a scam or is broken. None of my ads get hits, views, or is seen - No matter the item, description, location, or boost. Unless your paying, your ads wont be seen. This app has really gone down hill. Interesting enough, my previous review was deleted?

    Very few listings in NC? Unable to do Forgot Password. I don’t know if it’s North Carolina or in general, but only found about 15 items in 50 miles radius for clothing categories. Also, I was registered from NY a while back and the forgot password section shows gray for me and it doesn’t work.

    Notification. The reason I’m giving 5 miles a 1 star app because I can’t get no notifications at all from the app they need to update it because years ago i used to hear the notification from 5 miles and now I don’t for some reason even if u delete and get it back to see if u can hear the notification or get notifications it not gonna work I try and there is a lot of scammers on this app

    The whole app is frozen. Nothing is loading anywhere in the app. All just white pages, I noticed it yesterday and thought it was a glitch that would resolve in its own but it’s been 2 days now and all pages in the app are just blank white.

    Great idea, bad execution, no funding.. This app is a great idea to complete against the other big marketplaces BUT i’m not sure if the funding wasn’t there or they gave up or what happened. This app is so low quality. Buttons don’t work, stuff doesn’t load, can’t save half the changes you make, little to no views no matter what, paying for a boost is just a huge waste, the confirmation email goes to spam? why? no other app’s does that. They even have to tell you to check LOL. This app is just awfully made, needs tons of updates, bug fixes, just a whole remodel to be honest. UI isn’t pretty either. Again great idea for local sales but man this just had a unexperienced app builder or the funding wasn’t there. .5/10 if i could.

    Needs a lot of improvement. I’ve been an active user for years but the last year or two not as much due to the errors. I can’t even publish a listing anymore. I do the work to fill everything out like normal and then it just freezes when you push publish. Nothing happens. Even tried it online instead of the app and it’s the same issue.

    Not the app you are looking for. If 0 stars was an option, it would be that.. Listed an item for sale, purchased and paid for the feature, feature did not work. The item was never promoted, the item never received a single view, and I was locked out of the app almost the entire time, and no matter if I deleted the app cleared cache and reinstalled it never worked. The customer service was some of the worst. Completely unhelpful, and kept trying to close the open ticket for my issue without anything ever being resolved. Not worth your time, and definitely don’t give them a single penny of your money.

    It’s terrible experience. When I try to open the app, The screen is always black. I have to delete the app from my phone and re-download it before it can open normally! Hope fix this big bug!
