   Incompetent developers. Font is too big now and ads still open when you scroll on them. Also says “an error occurred” like all the time now. Good news is the app is almost at a CS senior design project level now. Also has extremely choppy scrolling App is now having an issue where nothing loads. Textbook Slickdeals quality That time of the year. Ads auto open to generate extra revenue. Devs said they’d look into it 5 years ago but obviously malicious design. Unless they really are that incompetent. App will reload if I switch to messages app and back. Literally the only 2 apps open. Only happens with SD. 5 years later still looks like the code is written by a newbie. Basic web container would behave better than this Also it is quite remarkable to me that they push out “bug fixes” updates that don’t actually fix any of the extremely easy to replicate bugs with the app despite submitting bug reports over a year ago. Fascinating really

   Newest update makes app lousy. Why in the world would you remove the quick access to categories. People are not going to use the app if it becomes next to impossible to figure out how to see what they want to see. I’m still mind-blown that someone agreed to the current layout as being the best choice. This is wildly off.

   Bugs bugs bugs. When you click on a listing only the top half loads but not the comments then you have to go back out then back into the listing again 2 or 3 times before the comments load. This bug has existed for ages

   UI change for the worse. I used the app daily to keep an eye on specific deal categories, but now the categories button is replaced with giveaways, which I couldn’t care less about. Please add the option to change back!

   Non stop expired deals. Staff posts non stop dead deals for Amazon. Hacks no longer work and coupon codes are never there. Been a huge waste of my time these past few months. SD is spam now and they get paid for clicks so they don’t care if the deals work anymore it’s all a scam.

   Refreshes too much. When they updated this app it now refreshes way too much. If I'm researching something and switch over to chrome and then go back to this app it goes back to the home screen because it refreshes. Why on earth is it doing this? Honestly I'm about ready to delete this.

    Horrible Store Selection. Edit: redownloaded after a couple years.. 90% of deals are still Amazon. Major turn off Waaay too many Amazon postings... especially at a time when we should not be shopping at Amazon. I’ll stick with other deal apps

    Ads pop up automatically. ads are forced open while scrolling even if you do not touch it. very annoying.

    App dev team should be fired. App dev team clearly do not use their own app or they would fix would have fixed YEARS of freezing, crashing, and slow bugs. With AI coding nowadays this is unacceptable!

    Random click on ads you didn’t touched. This site randomly clicks on ads for you. Site that will hack into your account so be careful when you randomly pop up a web site… now you have to waste time and clear cache or it will still be there the next time you used a web browser

    Horrible redesign. I was a weekly user of Slickdeals but the new app is awful. The list view was superior to the grid. The deal personalization features are awful. And ads open with mistakes all too easily. RIP Slickdeals.

    Last upgrade made this app painful to use. This app was working well but they just had to “improve”. You click a link and go to some external page. When you go back to the app, it resets to “for you” page and goes to the beginning of the page. Never mind that you may have been scrolling 10 screens down on a sub-forum or front page or elsewhere. Always resets to “For You”. Extremely unfriendly! Please revert back.

    Ridiculous ad pop ups constantly. I used to like using the app but now they’ve coded it so it constantly has ads pop up in my face and opens my safari with ads. Zero stars if I could, garbage sleeze ball marketing

    Always crashes on. I am using this app over years. It was really nice and never had issues but these days it is always getting crashed and not responding on my iPhone. Every time I need to restart. Surprisingly no issues on my iPad.

    Awful app update. New app version is buggy. You should not have launched new version of app during this time. Who ever made this decision is not in right mind. I hate this app update. Don’t make any sense to launch buggy app right now where we use app the most.

    Update is terrible!. I don’t write reviews that often, but I felt I had to come here and write a review. I love sleep deals, but this new app has made it terrible. There’s no easy way to get back to the homepage. The black makes it very hard to read. Just numerous issues with it. God please go back to the original.

    Ads invoked by scrolling. Not sure what the point of using this app if it offers inferior experience comparing to website. I constantly “accidentally“ click on ad banners when scrolling. Turns out if your finger happens to be over the ad banner when scrolling, the ads will be invoked. Absolutely greedy and annoying behavior. For businesses buying ads on this platform, your product definitely gets negative sentiment from being a part of irritating experience.

    Unreliable. Every time you scroll through the tabs when you first load the app the deals will not load. Have to always force close the app and reopen it. More reliable just to use the browser.

    Officially now garbage app. This app is exactly what’s wrong with capitalism. I was fine with an app that extracted affiliate profit from me to help me find items I actually wanted to buy. But that’s not enough apparently, now they’re littering the app with pop-up ads on top of ads. Time to find a new site.

    Toxic community. Moderators have their own agenda, mainly reposting deals community has shared and getting the commissions. Very fishy on how staff posts get upvotes and other posts get downvotes. Pretty toxic environment. A lot of the critical reviews are 100% accurate. Moderators spam a single item for each color then mysteriously they all make to the front page. Using the app will get you drive-by jumps to external websites. Used to be good but now largely corrupt.
