   It’s not recording my workouts ?. I’m new to this app and would like to see its full capabilities but unfortunately so far the app is stalling and not functioning. I’m on IPhone 17 Pro Max

   App stopped working 😢. As a longtime walking dead fan, this app is the reason I started running, years ago. But for the last few months I have unable to get the app to work. As soon as I start, the map starts freaking out and the whole app locks up. Seems like an iOS 26 issue Please fix 🙏

   Greedy. I first got this app over 10 years ago and it was a pay app. I got season 1 and I think season 2 for free, it just came with the app. After season 2, to celebrate completing the second season I treated myself to a Runner 5 t-shirt. I really loved the content and the motivation so when the update for season 3 came out, it said you had to pay for it. I loved the content and I think it was $.99 so I totally got it. There were some issues with the app working correctly so I switched to a different run tracker. Fast forward over 10 years and I remembered Zombies Run and how fun it was. I redownloaded it, restored my purchases and was excited to see all of the new content. I was ready to purchase JUST THE NEXT SEASON when I see they only have one of those subscription pay models and my heart sank. So I decided, I still have my first 3 season that will keep me busy for quite some time so I’ll just do those missions. In the middle of mission 1 a freaking AD starts playing?!!!! How disappointing. I thought this was a really cool “indie” kind of thing I was supporting and to see all I did was help support the suckling at the teet of greed! Disappointed. Shame.

   All unlocked episodes relocked. As a result of the latest update, all users have lost all of their previously unlocked episodes, and the company is not going to restore them. Like many other reviewers, I spent YEARS unlocking these episodes. The company’s solution? Just spend years doing it all over again, too bad. Absolutely disgraceful. Used to be a good app.

   Terrible company. I can’t believe they abruptly removed all my unlocked access to my runs after being a loyal user for over a decade.

   Horrible recent update. Used to love the app. They had a recent app update that re-locked all of the episodes you previously unlocked. Support basically said “we know this happened, sucks for you, nothing we can do”. Wouldn’t recommend downloading this app or using this service.

   UPDATE REMOVES ALL UNLOCKED MISSIONS. I spent ten years or more unlocking one mission a week, and this update removed my access to all of it. I can never recommend this app again. Support says they will do nothing. What a horrible decision this company has made. I was a day one supporter and I will never use this again.

   Lost all unlock progress. After using the app for 14 years they released an update that wiped my progress unlocking weekly episodes. Very disheartening. I will never use the app again. I lost 7.5 seasons of unlocks, even episodes I still had downloaded.

   Lost its magic. I’ve been using ZR! for years and found it a fun, motivating way to keep me running. I’ve loved it! Unfortunately, I’m finding S11 just so incredibly boring; it’s just not my jam. E14 in particular I’ve tried three times now and given up, it actually made my runs worse - characters I don’t care about, all drama no action.. I found myself wishing each clip would just end so I could get back to my music.

    App won’t even run. I just downloaded this app to get back into moving my body, and I thought it would have been a fun way to do so. Unfortunately, I can’t even get past the introductory video in the beginning and I keep trying to press the button to continue, or I try and leave the app as well as turning off my phone. My phone is also up to date with the latest IOS so there should be no issues with that. The app just won’t load and this is a bummer.

    Disappointed. I’ve had this app for years when it was free and ever since the upgrade you now have to buy episodes with a vip membership. What happened to free like the past! Super sloppy and disappointing.

    Not happy. Just updated the app because it wouldn’t let me stop my run. I bought this app years ago and had access to all of my missions but now I have to pay for a monthly membership to access everything I just had access to. To say I’m upset and disappointed is an understatement.

    Refund requested. I paid $7.99 for a running app in 2012, this is not the app I purposely purchased. If I pay for something, I expect that something to remain the thing that I bought. I’ve requested a refund.

    Strongly dislike the Zombies, Run X. This app was my favorite exercise app when it was Zombies Run, but I absolutely hate that an app that I subscribe to is now riddled with ads for Marvel characters. The Marvel Move should have been a separate app. A paid subscription should not include ads to subscribe to another app. I’ve started tracking my runs using other apps. I use to be a huge advocate recommending this app to other runners and fellow Zombie enthusiasts, but the contaminated interface that detracts from the story by intermingling unrelated Marvel characters takes away from the original appeal of the clean interface of the original app. Plus, it use to be one of the most user friendly apps that I have ever used, but now you must hunt your way through and navigate unrelated story content of Marvel Move. If it was packaged separately, I might have even given it a try, but consumers don’t like content shoved down our throats! Please, separate these two apps and bring back Zombies Run. I will never recommend this app to another runner in its currently mutated state!

    Too many bugs or forced to subscribe?. I bought the app back in 2013 and started using it again in 2023. As a “legacy” customer I was informed I had access to a certain amount of content. At first the app worked fine, tracking my distance and giving time updates, soon the app would not provide these despite checking setting and asking for customer support. Nothing worked, and now today the actual mission story just would not load. As much as I would like closure on the story, my Apple watch is more accurate in terms of time and distance tracking. I’m through with this garbage

    Warning, if you upgrade phones you loose all unlocked content. I have upgraded my iPhone several times (6, 8, X, and 12) and never had an issue. I was a legacy customer and early supporter of the app. When I upgraded to iPhone 15, all of the sudden I lost all the unlocked content I had from the past several years. I wrote to support and they said there was nothing they could do as unlocked content was not tied to syncing to their servers. Again this was never an issue previously each time I upgraded my iPhone and it’s really poor from customer ZRX support, the company only cares about subscribers $$$ now.

    Used to be good. Used to be good but apparently got bought out and now it’s trash. It used to give you stats about your run such as distance, time, and average pace as well as your route that you ran. Now it just gives the time (maybe it gives distance if you choose your run by distance instead of time). So now all I know is how long I ran and not how far or anything else about my run. They used to record all those stats even for the free version. It’s also full of bugs and glitches now that plenty of other runners have had. I couldn’t even get my run to start initially today. But hey, here’s some more Marvel trash to throw in your face that will cost you even more. So congrats on paying to be advertised to you. Time to find a new running app.

    Sad to see this happen. It really pains me to write this but I just had to add my voice to the other recent reviews. Since switching to ZRX, the app has gone from one of my favorite fitness apps to unusable and not with the effort to work through. I’ve been a VIP subscriber for years but at this point, I’m not going to renew my subscription unless the app is drastically fixed. Since the switch to ZRX, the app has trouble loading at all and often hangs at start-up. Even when I do get the app working, I’m not a fan of the new interface. I was never interested in Marvel Move and suddenly I feel like I had to go digging to pick up my ZR storyline. There are even small nuisances like music now stopping when you end a mission that just irritate me enough to miss the good old days with ZR. It’s really sad to see this happen to one of my favorite apps. I’ll still fondly remember all the runs I did with Sam and the crew at Able Township.

    Hate it since it became ZRX. Sigh… As the title says. That’s my opinion and frankly I have problems with simply using the app, so opinion aside. There are problems that could be resolved: I go to season 10, click on the newest episode and it soft locks to infinitely load. Great… ugh. The only thing I can do is close the app and relaunch it. The only thing I can do is waste time clicking on the episodes as I get down to the bottom. Note: even with this, if I’m too fast, it’ll soft lock. Next is the basic concept going back. You must use the arrow on the top left corner. This is the only app where swiping from the left screen to go back doesn’t work. Thirdly, notifications. My phone’s settings say they are on. The in app settings say they are all on. I don’t get notifications. The most important notification is the app telling me when to unlock the next episode, so either it is bugged and needs fixing or, straight up, they removed that notification as a “screw you” for F2P people trying to unlock new episodes. These are my top three concerns. I’ve mentioned two of them in my reviews since the app became ZRX and they haven’t been addressed, so here I am posting about them again.

    When is Apple Watch capability returning?. Not interested in Marvel or whatever. Just want the Apple Watch capability to come back. Should have made the marvel stuff a different app because it screwed everything up big time. Congrats, hope you learn from this.

    If you have the old version, keep it for now. I hope I get to update this review, because it’s a 5-star app with a disastrous update. Won’t open, hangs on a load screen. First time in the 10 years I’ve lived by this app that it’s had such a bad update.

    Not worth it anymore. This used to be the best running app, it had a good story line, it was motivating, and everything worked. Since it was sold, it’s buggy, expensive, and the stories are mediocre. The first seasons are worth a listen, but I wouldn’t spend money on it as it is now.

    Used to love this app. I used to love this app but now nothing in it works. I’ve tried logging out and in again, deleting and reinstalling it, restarting my phone, checking settings, and other troublingshooting options but nothings working. No buttons work and no sound plays for the missions. I used to use this app every day but I guess I won’t be anymore since it’s stopped working completely. It’s definitely not an issue with my phone since everything else on my phone is working the same. Sad to not be able to use it anymore :(

    Love Z!R, not a fan of ZRX new app. Maybe it's just my download, but the new app has been nothing but trouble for me. Super laggy in the township, cuts out in and stops playing during runs, and if you were a legacy member like me, you can no longer access Radio Abel for seasons 1-3, even though those seasons are unlocked for you! :( I've been a long time user and I love Abel (I've bought the book, the board game, and participate in the virtual races too) so this has been very disappointing and frustrating. I'm hoping that deleting and redownloading will help, but if it doesn't get fixed I can't use the app and will have to abandon Sam and Eugene and everyone else to the zombie hordes
