Bogus free trial and no customer service response. **UPDATE** Even after their reply here I have sent 2 more emails and have never heard a response. Don’t fall for their BS. Don’t listen to them about their 3 day trial. You get the trial and you are paying $40+ for a year. Didn’t help me as I expected but paid for the year anyway. Customer service didn’t even bother to reply at all. 1 star for that fact alone.

Scam. Showed a 3 day free trial available, when I clicked it to try out the app, it immediately charged my bank for the yearly premium which is the most expensive package they have.

Oh my gosh. I signed up for the least expensive one year plan. Tried it, did not like it, so within 30 minutes, I cancelled my subscription and I am still going to be charged for the whole year. Be careful, there is NO trial period

Not free. Can’t even open the app without signing up for a subscription. Searches say there is a free version but I can’t navigate past the page that wants my credit card. I don’t mind apps that charge a fee. I mind being lied to.

No diagnosis. So far, I have not been able to use this app because every time I try to take a picture and diagnose my plant says I don’t have a network connection. I do it just doesn’t work.

Too many ads and intrusive pushy paywall UI. The core functionality will take you many more clicks than needed as the developer pushes you pay and view ads and grant global permissions to all your photos. Is so disruptive I’m giving up on the app and even trying to make it work.

Always forcing you to pay $29 a year. LeafSnap is one of the worst apps suggesting you can use for free. Yes, you CAN use for free, as long as you dismiss each and every time the paid subscription LeafSnap places in front of you. Just not worth expending the tedious energy

Use something else. This app used to be easy but now drives the user through advertisements, tries to upsell and generally makes it an annoyance. For the subscription, use a different app.

Not USA COMPATIBLE. I’ve asked them to add inches, feet into their measurements, instead of just meters, centimeters etc… I’m tired of having to do the conversions! It’s very rude they don’t care!

Not on 17pro. Was working great on my IPhone 15. Got a new iPhone 17 pro and when you go to take a picture to identify with it shuts off. Yes camera and photos are enabled. Also deleted it and reinstalled it. Same thing. Please fix the bugs in it

No gallery access only. This app has changed and you can no longer just use your photo gallery to upload an image. You now must given the app permissions to your camera before you can use an image in your gallery. There is no need for this and makes the app unusable for those who do not wish to give strangers permissions to their camera.

Waste of money. I paid for the annual membership, and this was a waste of money. It is difficult to use and the few times that I used the app, I was directed to make a purchase to use it. Diagnoses were inconclusive and suggestions were not clearly made. Was even difficult to submit a review.

Did not transfer to new phone. I took a lot of time to set up all of my gardens on here, including care and notifications. When I bought a new phone, nothing transferred over. So disappointing. Loved it until then.

Works Well. Been using for two years. The app works well EXCEPT for the data synch function. It absolutely sucks. Once it starts you can watch your battery drain. The synchronization CANNOT be stopped. If you’re in the field you have to close the app frequently or kill your battery. Very disappointed. Sent them the iPhone information and screenshot FIVE days ago. No response yet.
