   Function button doesn’t always work. I love how I can track my dog to know where he is and where he has been but when he takes off running and I try to get his attention to come back the function button will not work all the times. It is very frustrating when trying to train a dog not to go to far away😣

   GPS inaccurate. Trying to use the e-fence and the boundary moves around making it impossible for our dog to understand where the boundary is. Dog was locked in a barn overnight and it showed she went over a mile.

   Avoid this collar!!. Zero out of 6 collars have worked. All have been junk. Works great for a couple hours then quits. Customer service ladies are rude and the managers will tell you what you want to hear and drag you through the mud. Highly do not recommend this collar! It doesn’t work! Waste of time and money and will leave you frustrated and your dogs out in the field untracked.. dangerous product. False advertising!

   Can cause harm to your dog. They stated to me it’s a known problem they satellite it bouncing out of the country unfortunately when mine did my dog was continuously being shocked screaming on the ground my husband ran over pulled prongs away he got shocked while ripping off his collar

   App crashes.. Only had the dogtra pathfinder2 for 5 and had issues. As soon as the transmitter connects to my phone the app crashes and closes. If tried re opening the app, reinstalling, and restarting my phone. All unsuccessful, definitely not the type of issues you want to experience in the field with dogs working….. I will probably be getting ride of the collar and switching to a Garmin gps collar.

   Great idea, disappointing in real world. Similar problems as others. I bought it for the watch/convenience in the field. Problem is watch doesn’t stay connected, is inaccurate and app doesn’t stay locked when running. Phone data and watch data don’t match. Mobile fence fails to give timely notification. Haven’t tried efence yet, but my expectation is low. This is buggy and unreliable. Wanted to love it, don’t. Called support stated they know about problems and are working on fixes. When?!?!? Do the developers actually use these devices?!?!? I am running latest version of app and latest IOS Answer to developer - I provided the requested information when I first called. Anxiously awaiting updates

    TOO MANY NOTIFICATIONS. So I’ve been using the device and app for a few months now. Couple of main points: Doesn’t allow connection with multiple smartphones. My dogs will be taking out by my partner and ideally she would be able to use here phone seamlessly. Would be great if you can login to the account that’s connected to the dog collars from multiple devices. The E Collar page is a little awkward to use and could have a simplifies overview. When you’re tracking multiple dogs ans want to switch between dogs and functions there are too many awkward swipes and presses. The overview page could simply list two or three dogs and show three functions next to their name and all be under the map. Rather then having to swipe up, select dog, press function. Convoluted in the field. It would be great if your phone had some sound or haptic feedback when pressing a function to confirm that the fiction has been activated. Sometimes it’s unclear if the button press has worked. Otherwise pretty good

    Buggy app. Worked great for 6 months - but the last few weeks the app constantly crashes when in use - losing connection with the handset and losing all tracking history. Reboot the app and it all connects to but happening every 5-10 minutes which is frustrating as you cannot rely on it.

I like the collars but have been having trouble with the tracking on one of the three I purchased since new and now two months of ownership, it has stopped tracking altogether , it’s frustrating being it’s brand new product , other than that I do like the system and enjoy being able to track them on my phone , I will be sending that one collar in to be repaired , I’m assuming that will be covered under warranty

    Map. Why are the maps so old? Was excited for this however once I installed the app I realized the maps are years old. Trees, fences, property lines change through the years. Maps should be updated.

    It’s good, not great… yet. I really like the features of the Pathfinder 2. I use the tone and vibrate functions exclusively with my GSP and Griff. However, it’s true that the Apple Watch is not accurate and is inconvenient to use. I think that an accessory widget on the Lock Screen of my iPhone would be more practical and useful. I’ve emailed product support and hope they will add this feature to the app in the near future (and then it will be great).

    Great product, with quirks. The collar itself is wonderful so far. I’ve only had it a couple weeks, so time will tell. Not a fan of having to reconnect the receiver to the remote/phone every single time. The GPS is quite off sometimes too. The app will send me multiple notifications saying my dog has left the mobile fence boundary whilst he’s sitting right by me. Pretty frustrating. Other than that, I have no complaints.

    US only features 😢. Been using the collar a long time for a U.K. deer stalking/tracking dog. Annoyingly there’s no way to disable the flashing green light on the collar when in use. I’ve requested updates multiple times to the firmware to offer this. And much to my surprise they finally offer this feature …. But sadly only to those in the US! Such a shame.

    Could be more organized and changes are not always synced to receiver and collar. From an end user’s testing perspective, the GUI and layout of features could be improved. Navigating the app is difficult without instructions. Toggling back and forth between e-fence and mobile fence, and making other changes does not always sync to device right away. Have to keep going back into app to refresh

    Has some interface issues. So far i have not had any performance issues it seems to function. Otherwise it would have received one star. The user interface is where this app falls FLAT in its face. BLUE text text is used when requesting user input the text is UNREADABLE except when viewed in pitch dark. VERY POOR user interface. Need a different, readable color, for user input. If you start the app it hijacks what is normally the volume “control” button. This button now magnifies the screen ( which can already be magnified two different ways). To change the volume u need to leave the app, open an app that normally allows the volume to be changed, then go back to the dogtra app. If the volume is not quite right repeat the procedure. Dumb. Geo fence is one function that may require the volume to be changed.

    Maps.. Any way to update the maps ? Not quite as clear as the pathfinder 1. And if we could download a larger map area that would all be amazing!!! The places I hunt I just can’t download enough map. Love it tho

    UPDATED: There’s room for improvement. Update: “I’ve grown to love it after multiple uses. While it does take some time for the collar to connect, I usually turn the devices on way before arriving to my hiking destination and let them connect to the app on its own. Then the signals pickup throughout the drive and stay connected throughout. As for the beeping, I removed the beeping issue and I have no more problems!” When turning on the remote, there is an instant connection to my phones app. However, when turning on the collar, it seems like it takes forever to sync with my phone. It takes at least 5 minutes to get the dog collar recognized by the app. I’ve tried with cellular / wifi and without. I wished it connected instantly like with the remote. Secondly, if your app is not running in the background, the remote beeps loudly and it can be annoying at times. I’d rather the phone vibrate or ping 1 notification that it has been disconnected. Or have an option to turn the beeping off

    Garmin Who?. Decided to run this collar as a test, I’ve run Dogtra on waterfowl dogs(Chessies) for several seasons and was wanting a tracking collar for my new GSP. So I tested this collar and it exceeded expectations. The app is clear and concise, easy to navigate, and the collar responds great. I have now switched entirely to Dogtra Pathfinder2 collars for all of my dogs. Even if you don’t hunt the e-fence boundary has worked well for my retired dogs that like to wander the yard while I’m training up the road so they’re not cooped up for hours. Running multiple dogs on the app is a seamless transition, and as-long as you’re more tech savvy then a rock you can make it work. Very happy with my purchase, my “experiment” turned into ordering 3 more collars.

    Bugs. This system has to many problems! Wait to buy tell problems are fixed. What I hate most is I drop service and it picks back up in china. Don’t use the geo fence or you’ll lose your dog or it will get shocked like crazy.

    Completely my fault for ordering the wrong product. I ordered the wrong collar and thought the app was the problem. After ameliorating my mistake and buying the regular pathfinder collar (surprise surprise) — the app worked perfectly. Extremely satisfied with the training capabilities of the collar and the accessibility of the app itself. Great work guys!

    Great for my Beagle. Purchased the Pathfinder 2 in the fall we use it to keep track of our beagle while Rabbit hunting. Fantastic and the battery last a long time. easy to run a full day with plenty more to spare. I use an iPhone

    Awesome. I have been using this system everyday for about a month. My coonhound loves the freedom afforded to him because of my confidence in being able to track him. I live in a heavily brushed area on Vancouver Island and have had great success in following his adventures. So far it has exceeded my expectations. It has been fun and actually entertaining reviewing his trips once we get home as well.
