wtf. you literally have to pay for life-saving lessons and you can’t even communicate with people anymore. this app used to be all about connection and communication. bring it back.

  2. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Very expensive for what it is. This app has a handful of very brief videos and basic tutorials, all of which are readily available elsewhere for free. $14/month is outrageous, especially since half the content is advertisements to purchase their branded goods. It’s bewildering it has the rating it does.

Decent however the trainer service could be HIGHLY better if you actually had respectful people. At first I liked this app, the tricks are great and basically everything however the key takeaway is the “talk too a professional trainer” knowing what I know now it was highly disrespectful. Here’s the story of why I gave and will not recommend this app I used the chat too a trainer tool and got advice however I repeatedly told the trainer in the chat of who I genuinely asked for help with my traumatized dog, however the trainer insisted on kenneling him disregarding his genuine fear, he is a rescue and the kennel absolutely terrifies my poor baby too a huge panic attack, we don’t use the kennel but I hoped maybe there was a way too gently get him too like it slowly, but explaining this the trainer acted as if it was our fault he wasn’t “trained” too like the kennel, mind you I tried everything too gently introduce him, but it still makes him hide and freak out, usually coming too me for safety, the trainer lady said it was something “every” dog should know in case of emergency which I understand however my dog is genuinely traumatized from whatever happened too him in the past. And NO I will not be returning nor recommending this too anyone, she made us feel absolutely horrible, and blamed our dog for having issues with his “manners” of which is not the case and he is a absolute gem at his obedience, but this is a actual fear that I’ve worked on since we got him, not only did she belittle us but blamed my training and my DOG for his past.

Idk why but it won’t download. It won’t download

  5. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Disappointed. I thought this app would be organized and helpful. I completely regret spending money on this, we have literally learned nothing from this experience

  6. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

No. Was banned for something that is not a rule and not my fault

  7. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

No refunds super basic. The app is super basic YouTube style training and has no refund. No advanced content for barking or reactivity

  8. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

unethical training methods. developers follow and support cesar millan and support abusive and outdated methods like the alpha theory. i’ve loved puppr for a long time and loves sara carson but this is unacceptable

  9. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

We all got banned all my friends. ☹️

  10. ★★★★account bans or deletion without explanation

Hi Puppr. Hi Puppr I love that you can post pictures and all put I happened to post a pic of my face without a dog and COULD NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO TAKE IT DOWN then I was shadow banned and I can’t see any comments or post anything so I’m asking for you to please unban me my account is Molly Bolly Other than that the app is good

Just for tricks. I signed up based on the preview of the good canine citizen class. It just gives you the test criteria and does not offer instruction. There are no options for training over puppy 101. I have asked for a refund for my $13.99.

Advocate for harsh/painful leash training. Really love the tricks shown in this app. The tutorials are helpful. But when I looked into Puppr premium, they advocate for the use of a slip lead for leash training. Slip leads are a harmful way of training that stops your dog from pulling by putting constricting pressure and pain on the neck. You’ll hear people describe it as a “correction”, but it’s a lazy and harmful way of teaching loose leash walking when there are ways to teach it with positive reinforcement methods. See Zak George’s videos on YouTube instead of this app.

Uggh. Just uggh I hate it (removes post and bully’s specific person orville and Mattis)

good app but locked behind pay wall. this app is good. it has a built in clicker that i don’t think sounds like an actual clicker at all and you can only do lesson 1 and everything else is locked behind a pay wall. don’t advertise your app as free if it’s not

  15. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Too expensive. Very very great app but 150 dollars a month is crazy!

  16. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Review. I have a small dog and haven’t learned how to potty train him

  17. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Missing things the app promises to do. You can look at your Puppr pals but if you have none you are prompted to go to your pets profile and use the “add pals button” to add pals. There is no add pal button on the profile page. If it’s part of the premium offerings they should make that clear.

Needs to update! 😠. Please be a lot more like Dogo. There is no courses for my puppy so I had to change from Puppr to Dogo. Add courses please they really help so I deleted my account and that makes me really mad. Thanks for reading bye.😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Guidelines are absolutely bonkers.. The training community idea of this app is lovely. But what is training without different views on it? What is the dog world without opinions? I had posted several posts as FRIENDLY reminders that doodle breeding is an absolutely rotten industry, and had gotten banned. Out of all the communities I expected to do this, puppr was very low on the list. We should be able to educate people without one non-changeable outlook on our canine friends. Also, instead of scaring people off from balanced training, we should be educating them HOW to use martingales, gentle leaders, prongs correctly. Originally liked the app, absolutely not now.

I wish there was more Instruction. Am I missing something? There are barely any steps in how to do these things and I’ve paid for premium. It’s not enough to just show me what should be happening. I need to know how in a more detailed way. Definitely not getting what I thought out of this feature/app.

Border collies only?. All of the dogs in the app are border collies. Border collies are the smartest dog. I think all of this training works well if you have a border collie or a smart dog with deductive reasoning skills. I have three dogs that are mixes and especially for one of my dogs, none of the tactics offered in the app actually worked or taught her what was expected. I will find another app that’s more generic and inclusive of different dogs and breeds.

  22. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

…. My dogs not here anymore, I can’t train her no more….

Not appreciated.😡. I really don’t like this app. Yes there are some pretty cool tricks but most of them cost a lot! (I’m the type of person to almost never pay money for apps.) I can literally just go on the internet instead of using this app. Plus I would like a setting to turn off the challenges cause I don’t like how kids could have access to strangers. I am not, NOT, going to pay for puppr premium when I can just Google how to do a trick! Also i think it would be a good addition if when practicing a trick there would be a version of the trick for each size of dog, most of them are done by big dogs so it makes it difficult to train my small dog. SO DELETING!!😡😡 P.S I would like more groundwork like problems with pulling, biting, jumping on people, aggression etc to not be on Puppr premium cause I have major issues with some of those and it’s not helpful when you have to pay to have access to those lessons. AND, I would also like it if there were little sections of like troubleshooting cause for example my dog will not do roll over because she feels vulnerable on her back, and she just backs up when I attempt to teach her. Please add tips that are not part of puppr premium!!!!!!🥺

  24. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

It doesn’t work. I tried this on my sister’s 3 yr old chihuahua and in which she ran off ignored me refused to listen to the clicker and decided the treats were not worth learning the task not for hard headed dogs

  25. ★★★★★account bans or deletion without explanation

Used to be great. I have been on the app for years now. Helps with training but they have now taken down the option to comment and put captions on trick posts. Which is understandable because a lot of people fight, the Puppr community has so many great things and wonderful people who would love to communicate with each other. When commenting was enabled if you had a problem with someone you just blocked them. But there was so much, and I mean SO MUCH support from people on the app. Telling people to never give up or just complimenting their pet, bring it back please

  26. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Amazing App!. This app has been so helpful in teaching my dog already and i’m just getting started! There is an amazing and supportive community that i wouldn’t trade for the world. i love the people on here so much. I love being able to encourage others in their training journey with their dogs and vice sera for myself. The development of this app is going so well and it’s getting even better so quickly! The developers work so hard and are always engaged in anything going on. I’ve hardly had any problems at all, but when i do the developers are always amazing at responding quickly and effectively to emails and making puppr better every day! love this app so much

  27. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Great for positive reinforcement training. This app is amazing for positive only training, but I believe in other types of training and think they should be incorporated too!

  28. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Okay. It’s wonderful;however, its premium is pretty expensive.

  29. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Not that good 😕. So I got this app to tran my dog to like do tricks and it was sooo hard and he hated it and felt bad I had to force him to sit and lay down and yeah we did not like the experience that we had on pupper .

  30. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Good, but why add comments?. I love how you can post pictures of your dog. But adding comments has made it so much easier for people to bully others. It’s happened to me and many others. A lot of the users of Puppr are children. Does it seem right to let grown adults bully and pick on children. It does not. Please remove comments so Puppr users don’t have to worry about being cyber bullied.
