1. ★★★★★an update broke a familiar workflow

   Used to be a great app. I have used this app for years and loved it. But one of the latest updates changed the rollover feature. It used to ask during the budget setup if you wanted the budget to rollover each week. Now it doesn’t ask and I always forget. The only way to do it is to create the budget and then go into the edit menu and change it to rollover. And if you forget, tough luck. Unlike what the app says, yes you can change this at anytime, but it will only be for going forward. If you forget and the next week starts it won’t recalculate. Stupid update. I’m going to have to find a new budget app.

   Wouldn’t Even Load. Got excited from the reviews. Downloaded. Put my paycheck info in. Then, nothing. Wouldn’t let me create anything after that.

   Not helpful at all. This is a waste of time and money. I cancelled within 10 minutes and I’m stuck with it for a year. No way to contact them.

   App doesn’t work. I’ve had this app for years (6+) and I use it in a bit of a backwards way where I assign my “budget” as what I really want my savings goal to be so I can see how much money I need to make each day doing freelance, side gigs, etc to meet that goal. This app has been fine for that until today when it took me back to the start screen so I clicked get started and nothing. Closed the app again and nothing. Went to the App Store and clicked on app support which just took me to their website talking about how great it is. My phone doesn’t show the app needing to be updated so I’m not sure what’s going on or if the app just finally died since it’s been the same for years

   Find Something Else. I purchased this app with the intention of using it to track bills. What I got was a simple and clean, designed app with literally no way to use it for simple bill tracking. It allows you to create budgets, but perhaps I’m missing the trick for how to properly use it. Definitely not worth five dollars!

   Achingly Slow App. Why use an app that takes 5 minutes to load? I’ve given this “productivity app” that much time to load up and it is wasting more time than it is helping. I will update this review once this issue is fixed (it’s been a year since developer decided to not address this issue despite the update stating otherwise)

   Fantastic!.. update 4/18/23. It appears this app has been abandoned.. What a great app for budgeting! I love being able to glance down at my watch and see my budget! I highly recommend this to everyone!

   Why does it forget charges?. The only job of this app is to keep track of my entries, but it will randomly forget a bunch of them or do the math badly and I have to readjust the math over and over again. Please advise because I can’t budget with an app that forgets my budget.

    Sync is not working. I used Pennie for the entire month on my iPhone. I opened my iPad. Boom!! All my entries have been removed. This app is a jock.

    Can’t open it after purchase. I even can’t even finish to set up my budget. It’s worse than a free app. It keeps quitting on me.

    The app one of my budgets for no reason. I know I didn’t accidentally deleted because I would have seen a pop up menu asking if I was sure I wanted to delete the app. It was my 5th budget and in a non-US country. Maybe that had something to do with it. I don’t know. But this is really frustrating because now I lost all my data on how much I spent so far this month.

    Keeps deleting my expenses. The past month I’ve tried to use this app is deletes most of the expenses I mark down, thus making it impossible to track my spending. Really annoying.

    Really Laggy - Unusable. The designed functionality and features themselves are no problem. Aesthetics are nice too. However, the app is really laggy and crashes on me without fail nearly every time I try to make any type of change, making it impossible and really frustrating to use efficiently (kind of defeating the purpose of having this app in the first place). My list is about 23 items long, if that helps as a reference. I wasted at least a good 30 minutes on trying to complete my updates. This had been an issue on my 6S for months so I stopped using the app completely, and when I recently upgraded to one of the XR, I was hoping there would be no issue. Unfortunately, the same issue persists.

    Really Annoying Little Things!. Seriously frustrated by not being able to do simple tasks such as altering the “remaining” portion of my budget because it’s greeted out. Other things like not being able to input accurately that I have spent my budget that I’m trying to input and yet it doesn’t allow me to put in 0.00 as a denomination?! So frustrating and simple to fix!

    Loading issue. It’s been updating all day I just purchased the app and haven’t been able to use it.

    Could use a lot of work. This application is so simple that I don’t understand the need for it. It would be useful if it was able to sync with your bank accounts and track your spending for you. There are a number of much more advanced free applications such as mint that I get a lot more out of. If you are really looking to save money and change your finances, download mint and acorns. If you have a hard time using a calculator or spreadsheet I guess you could use pennies app.
