  1. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Vague Refund Policy. WalletHub advertises their 30day refund guarantee in-app on the same feature page you’re shown when purchasing your subscription. However your in-app purchase cannot be refunded as the policy only works for directly purchased subscriptions (from their website I guess). This seems like a plainly deceitful tactic.

  2. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Confusing. App has a lot of potential. I’ve been using app for a few years but app seems to be getting worse. App will alert user with a number in the app that user has a notification. Opening the app doesn’t take the user to the notification. User has to click around and may or may not find the notification. Compared to other financial apps this one needs work and isn’t worth the paid version ias both my financial institutions are not supported by its third party. Additionally, they offer a 30 day money back guarantee but fail to state that if the sign up is paid through Apple you don’t. Account stays active for a year then stops putting the user out the $100 fee. Deceptive. There are better apps out there that support your bank, credit union are upfront about ‘30 day money back guarantee’ buyer beware.

  3. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

    Fix bug. Bug 2026

  4. ★★★★data, history or progress disappears

Terrible. Spammy and won’t delete my account

  5. ★★★★account bans or deletion without explanation

No customer service auto block. This is the worst app I’ve ever had to deal with I tried syncing my accounts but they wouldn’t sync so I keep trying the they auto blocked my ip address so I can’t even cancel in a way to get my money back there is no phone number or any help just an email they never respond to the app throws up error saying it can’t update with no update available in the App Store this app Is complete trash avoid it

  6. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Scam. ⚠️ The Truth About “Free Credit Scores” & Card Offers A lot of people don’t realize this, but sites like WalletHub, Credit Karma, and others make money when you apply for credit cards through them. Every time you hit “Apply Now,” they get a commission from the credit card company. Here’s what they don’t tell you clearly: The score they show you is NOT your real score. Most of these sites show a VantageScore, but 90% of lenders use your FICO Score. Your “free score” could be off by dozens of points compared to what banks actually see. Applying for new cards usually lowers your score — at least at first. A hard inquiry knocks points off right away. A new account lowers the average age of your credit history. If the account just sits there unused, it doesn’t “build” anything. Why they push it so hard. Their business model depends on applications. The more you apply, the more money they make — even if it hurts your credit. ✅ What really builds credit long-term: Paying every bill on time. Keeping balances low (under 10% of your limit is best). Holding onto older accounts to build history. Limiting new applications to when you truly need them. Don’t let flashy “recommended cards” fool you into thinking you’re helping your credit when you’re really setting yourself back. Protect your credit like it’s an asset — because it is.

Clunky, Stupid Settings. App is extremely clunky and annoying to use, but, you know... Apple gonna Apple and promote this, as if it's actually worthy of a 4.8 Rating. Should be 3.9

  8. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Charged me even after uninstalling. Do not install this app or if you do be sure to cancel the subscription in your settings if you uninstall it. I installed it and uninstalled it immediately after seeing the annual fees but a month later they charged me as the subscription was added immediately upon installation. I could only cancel next year’s subscription fees. Lost the $50 for this year.

  9. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Scammed. I have been trying to access my account and it’s not letting me in. I tried to recover my password and verify and nothing is going to my email or the verification of making sure your human isn’t working either. It just keeps giving different photos of things not matching what is being required.

  10. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

I did not order this. Close and refund!

  11. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Doesn’t load anymore. App doesn’t load anymore. I’ve used it for years, but over the last month or so it has stopped loading. I’ve waited and uninstalled, but nothing works. Just 3 dots flashing infinitely.

  12. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Aggressive. Downloaded the app just to get car insurance comparisons. To sign up, they require your full name, address, email, phone number, and social security number. That’s way too much information to give to an app.

  13. ★★★★account bans or deletion without explanation

Lack of response to emails. I have been locked out of my account for months. And I have followed all of the instructions to try to regain access. I have also sent multiple emails to request access which is on their support page and it go unanswered. The do not list a customer support telephone number anywhere so you can speak with a representative. If I wanted to close my account I can’t.

  14. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Great information but the app sucks. I love all the information available in the app, but notifications pile up despite have read and responded to all alerts. I hate having that big red 7 in the upper corner of the App on the screen.

  15. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Used to be great…. I have used this app for years and it used to be great. You can’t dismiss the card offers without jumping through hoop after hoop and it’s infuriating. I have a persistent notification icon that I can’t ever get rid of and there’s nowhere in the app to show you what the notification is and they are constantly trying to upsell you. I deleted the app and have gone back to CK.

  16. ★★★★★inaccurate results and incorrect data

Extremely Inaccurate. The recommendations feature for the credit cards is helpful but the credit score is extremely inaccurate.

  17. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Annual Fees. Why does a lot of apps always want annual fees

  18. ★★★★★account bans or deletion without explanation

Unhelpful budget app. I thought I’d try WalletHub to give me a place to see everything in one place. The amount of times my personal credit union emailed to say someone was trying to access my account, even after verifying the app multiple times made it extremely annoying. WalletHub also doesn’t have a user friendly interface to see where your money is going. It was a waste of $45 for the first year and extreme waste of $95 the second year. You’d be better off logging into your bank accounts daily.

  19. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Seriously miffed!. I’m trying to raise my credit score and took Wallet Hub’s advice and applied for and received a Capital One card. It’s in good standing even after several months. I make my payments ahead of time and above the minimum although right now I can’t pay the balance off in full. I was surprised and disheartened to find out my score has dropped 40 points. I was better off letting it ride and keep paying my bills off on time.

  20. ★★★★★data, history or progress disappears

Bug when leaving app. Awesome app it’s just that there is a bug where you are looking at loans or debt it gets stuck and the back button doesn’t work. It stays on that page unless you delete the app. Pls fix

  21. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Great. This one of the best apps out there when it comes to checking your credit score.

  22. ★★★★★the highest-value lifecycle moment

Alert system is crying wolf. The credit alert system is broken and needs a complete overhaul. I regularly receive urgent emails with subject lines like "Credit Report Alert - Review ASAP" that create genuine anxiety about my financial health, only to open the app and find that the "alert" is either an on-time payment I already knew about, or worse, something I've already confirmed that the system is flagging AGAIN. This is a textbook false alarm problem. When your monitoring service cries wolf over routine, positive activity, users stop taking the alerts seriously. That is dangerous for a credit monitoring product. The entire value proposition of WalletHub is that I can trust your alerts to mean something. Right now, I don't.

  23. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

I put the title as optional if it's not really optional. I feel that since I've started using this app and it's only gotten more difficult to navigate.

  24. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Great app helped raise my score. Pros - helped identify CC accounts with annual fees and new cards I could apply for without fees - saved hundreds per year - helped identify best payoff plan across multiple accounts with variable interest rates - shows specifically why credit rate increases/decreases - behavior modification Cons - reduced support on PC.

  25. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Credit. Mindful study of how the credit world works.

  26. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

they do a good job. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to physically put in each individual bill that you have if you want it documented

  27. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Has Much Potential. Lacking ability to add debts it doesn’t find on your credit report. Needs more customizability.

  28. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Must be a bug in app. for weeks i can’t see my dashboard or anything I’ve deleted and uploaded app many times

  29. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Explaining. When it comes to debts towards the State(Child Support), it should be explained better. No even the State explains what’s going on when debts change from owing to being owed!

  30. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Fix your engagement strategy. I don’t typically write reviews but as someone who has worked in financial services I deeply empathize with the stress of managing credit. The email alerts with red exclamation points for minimal changes to your profile need to be addressed. This is pure engagement strategy around something already distressful. I recently got one that said “my score has dropped and you have dropped a credit level.” I checked…. My score went up this month and my utilization went up slightly. Please fix this. Other than this feature the app is extremely useful and similar to many other credit monitoring tools.
