   DO NOT PURCHASE!. I went through all the setting up steps and purchased this app for $4.99/month. It then wouldn’t let me login or access it AFTER CHARGING ME. I then attempted to find a way to contact customer service for help and there is NO WAY to contact them without logging in. So essentially, they can take your money then say you don’t have an account when you login and you can’t get any assistance, until you login. I’m out $4.99 with zero recourse. Their website is trash, I hate to see what the app is like, though I never will.

   Premium Subscription Issues. I have been using this app for over 10 years. Always loved it! However my subscription auto-renewed and when I logged into the app it won’t recognize that I renewed and I am unable to use the app’s features now. I’ve tried a data refresh, purchase refresh and nothing works. I created a IT support ticket with the development company of the app and have not received any updates or feedback for over a week now. I don’t there exists any support for this app anymore. They haven’t made a new version in years.

   Used to be good. I just started another diet. Last year I used UVD and it worked. What happened to the point calculations? 1 TBS of Olive Oil is NOT 31 points! It is 4 points. That is just one of many whacked out numbers. What happened? I wasted my money!

   Terrible customer service. I am charged for the app through Apple subscription but the app says I have no account! I give up no customer service, no answer. I sent my apple subscription detail still can’t restore my purchase. I have canceled my subscription unfortunately I have paid to June 2023 with no access and no one answers. Worthless!!

   Scanner does NOT work. I was hopeful to use this app in lieu of paying a monthly weight watchers subscription fee. I purchased the year’s worth of usage ($25), only to discover that the scanner does NOT work. I have trouble-shot everything on their website. The scanner is imperative, so without it, this seems like a waste of my time. I refuse to create an entry for each food item I have purchased. Plus, it adds a LOT of time to my grocery store trips as I have to stand there to enter food macros to find out the points. I have asked for my money back. We shall see….

   Database is inconsistent. When we put in items the database comes back with identical explanations and differing point values. Impossible to use . Examples red table wine. Also look at McDonalds on your dining out section. The same item has various point totals. How do you explain these inconsistencies furthermore how do you expect people to use them???????

    WDYM, “Program has ended”?! It still took my $!. My premium subscription renewed through iTunes in August but I hadn’t used the app since March and now that I tried to use it again all premium support is gone and my premium subscription will not restore even though I’m paid up until 2021!!!! What is going on??? I tried to put in a helpdesk ticket and it said you do not have permission? What the heck, Fenlander?

    Here’s the thing. The way a company or app developer treats its paying customers is a big deal. I don’t know what I’m dropping $26 on or even $5 for a month. Without having some type of free trial I could be throwing away five bucks that I truly need right now in this economy. So to come to the reviews to see what people are saying and then find a review where the developer is straight up being rude to a paying customer raises all the red flags for me. I’ve used this app in the past to track Simply Filling and I had a good experience but that was in 2015. So yes, five years ago this app was awesome. Is it now? Who knows.

    Lost. I just bought the premium plan and there are no trackers. I cannot look up foods to see point or calorie value. I want my money back. Also the phone app and iPad app do not synch.

    Ads even on premium. Do NOT pay for a subscription! I paid and received ads for half a month. I created an account and filed a tech support ticket and finally got it fixed... temporarily. But it is now showing me ads again 2 days before it should renew. Definitely canceling. I’m getting nothing for my money.

    Where did the fitbit sync go?. I updated this app I’ve had for more than 6 years. Now all of a sudden I can only sync my fitbit steps is to purchase a monthly plan! Outrageous! I’m not happy! I will be deleting the app! Do NOT use this app!!!!!

    Difficult. I’m an intelligent person, I use technology daily, I’ve used my fitness pal and other tracking apps without an issue. This is the most FRUSTRATING, least user-friendly app I’ve ever come across!

    Do not buy the premium plan- waste of money. I was led to believe that by purchasing a premium plan I would be able to track Weight Watcher’s Freestyle points. Very few points match the actual Weight Watcher’s Freestyle points. I went back to Weight Watchers because this app is useless. I contacted Ultimate Food Diary and they said they do not claim to be a Weight Watchers tracking app. Then what are they??? Do not waste your money!! *Update: The developer is stating that my review is not genuine. It is very genuine! The points on this app in no way align to Weight Watchers Freestyle program. It may work for others, but when every point counts toward weight loss success, this program can sabotage your weight loss plan. The meal planner is also not accurate. I asked for a partial refund for the app in October because I was out of the country for a month and did not use it after I purchased it. I went back to the Weight Watchers app and have had much better success. **update: My reviews are not threats as suggested by the developer. I understand I cannot get a refund because I should have tried the app sooner, so that is my own fault. My reviews are to prevent others from making the same mistake I did. This is my only review. I feel the developer is harassing me now to avoid others from believing the truth. Others have left similar reviews. Please do read all reviews as the developer suggests. I should have read them before purchasing the premium upgrade.

    Not just $2.99. Just FYI if you want a certain WW copy cat plan you pay $2.99 plus $20 a year. App is less than great but if you are in a pinch -eh. Developer keeps saying to everyone in the reviews that it’s clear that you have to pay extra if you want other plans. But I see lots of people saying otherwise Also the customer service is curt & rude. Always. But whatever, just a FYI

    Useful app but broken subscription renewal. I’ve used this app for years and like the features (some which have gotten better, like the database), so I stay with it. I have it on annual renewal thru Apple, and every year after the renewal I lose the premium features I’ve paid for, and have to send Fendlander Software, the developer, my renewal invoice so they can ‘reset’ my subscription. Then it takes a while for the developer to do this reset (four days and counting now, it’s been longer in the past, and will most certainly be longer this year), and it’s only after followup complaints from my end that it eventually happens. It’s frustrating enough to have to do this year after year that I’m finally taking the time to write a critical review and will be looking for an alternative app in earnest.

    Premium version is glitchy and doesn’t have foods. Finally upgraded to the premium version hoping there would be move foods that registered when I scan them. There isn’t and the app locks up all the time. Extremely glitchy, do not recommend the premium version but the free is fine.

    Application has changed-things now behind a pay wall. I purchased this application years ago and had been using it just fine until this weekend when I bought a new iPhone. Now, all of the features I paid for in the past are hidden behind a pay wall. The support team was nice enough to let me know that had I contacted them last year apparently they would have giving me access to the same application. Because Apple presses people to back up via iCloud, I have no back up of the old application. Disappointed that an application I paid for is no longer usable and instead I am being asked to pay on a recurring basis for what used to be already included. Edit: I see the developer has responded that this is a different application. Fairly lame response in my opinion. When I went to my device in the App Store to download previously purchased apps, Eureka it took me to this one and rightly so. They have changed the features and hidden behind a pay wall. The semantics about it being a new app, you can judge for yourself.

    Its ok but looking for something more reliable. The points are all over the place....for example, cheddar cheese comes up: 1 cup diced and one 2/3oz slice both are 15 points!🤦🏽‍♀️ so you dont know what the points actually are, not very helpful! Also if you create a meal in the app and then enter it in your diary it won’t count as an entry in the nutritional values section, so you are back to entering each ingredient separately....😖 making the creating a meal feature a useless feature.

    Overall ok. Doesn’t sync between devices.. Very cluttered interface but flexible. If you’re used to the WW app, this one will be disappointing. It doesn’t sync across devices or have a website you can use on a computer like the WW app. Be careful about buying a subscription. Once you click buy, it’s yours. Try the one month first so you’re not out $25 that you’ll never see again. I’d recommend iTrackBites over this program.

    It is annoying. Recently started showing game ads every time I add a meal. That was one of the reasons why I loved using this app was because they didn’t have obnoxious ads like game apps do these days, but now I can’t add anything without an ad popping up.

    Loosing Entries. I have been using this app for about 4 years. Every time I build up a huge favorites, workouts, meals, weight history, I loose the data during major updates to the app. I’m about ready to give up on this app. The latest update removed all history. Very irritating, otherwise I love the concept of the app.

    Ultimate Food Diary. I had the other version Value Diary which I loved and found to be easy and helpful. I am finding the Ultimate difficult to navigate. Where is the database of foods? Not liking this at all.

    Used to love this needs to be updated!. I used it several years ago and I loved it then. Quick easy and back then 10 bucks got you a lifetime thing. Fast forward to today and I need to lose weight again and first thought was this sight without even trying the free plans I got a year sub. I typed in and scanned couple of items with wide array of points that were totally inaccurate. For instance I scanned a tv dinner the first amount it showed was 49 points. I clicked to see the details and entered what was on back and it brought down to 27. That is a huge difference. A lot of the items I even scan aren’t even in the scanning part. Tried to look up butter and nope… just didn’t exist. I hope the devs look into fixing the app or I will have to look into a different one.
