Great!. So easy to use and makes me think about what nutrition I am consuming

  2. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Don’t let me restore my purchase. Don’t let me restore my purchase and very frustrating experience.

  3. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Loved to hated - DO NOT DOWNLOAD. I loved this app when they made it very simple. They have added so many things now and there’s bugs that make the app completely broken. For example I set my daily calorie intake to 1700 and for some reason it won’t save it and does a RANDOM calorie number. Secondly, when you select a meal plan it sets your carbs, protein and fats for you. there is NO way to remove this meal plan that messes with your numbers. Complete waste of money with no developer support

  4. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

AI SUCKS. I have used this app for many years and loved it. The switch to AI is annoying and doesn’t always categorize my food correctly. It takes twice as long to fix the mistakes from AI. Please give the option to toggle off this new AI version and back to original version.

  5. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

10 months, great. Last two not so much.. I appreciate the year long subscription to this app. I used it daily and directly credit it with positive lifestyle changes. That said, the last two months were unreliable. My logs were corrupted - sometime saved, sometimes not, sometimes absent entirely (not just the present day, but weeks of data would go missing). Multiple attempts to reach out to customer service went unanswered, or only offered canned responses. It changed my lifestyle for the better, but I can’t recommend long-term and won’t be renewing.

  6. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Lack of Value. The fact you have to upgrade to the paid version just to set / adjust your macros yourself is laughable and provides zero value. Makes me want to just delete all together.

  7. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Waste of money!. So I purchased the subscription for a year, don’t remember how much it was. Then after using it for a few weeks or a few months the I noticed I was staying below my calories and still gaining weight. So I downloaded a different app and the cals were off on Lifesum by a lot. I emailed them asking for a refund and never got a response back. So yeah don’t waste your money.

  8. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

    ужасный интерфейс. ужасный интерфейс

  9. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Ai slop. Cancelled my premium because the new ai interface is gross and extremely inaccurate. I put in a full meal in the chat function to be told it was 36 calories. Making meals is a pain. They charged me anyway. I haven’t used the app in month and its cost me $50 Gross.

  10. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Кусок дерь... Приложение ни о чем, красиво оформлено только. Невозможно нормально настроить параметры, все дергается и тормозит. Из ИИ только то, что приложение сделано им. Не рекомендую.

  11. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Difficult for tracking. I've been using it for over two months, but it is very imprecise, and I constantly have to close and reopen the app just to enter data.

  12. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

No meal plan. I subscribed to this app because they said they provide meal plans to help you lose weight. I found all kinds of recipes but they don’t tell you how much you can eat. So it’s not much use to me.

  13. ★★★★inaccurate results and incorrect data

Used to be okay, but now it’s trash. This app used to get the job done. There was definitely room for improvement, but the features it had usually worked. Now it freezes all the time, doesn’t add what you selected (the food you add shows up as “item” with no nutrition info or doesn’t add at all), features have been removed (used to be able to create a meal from already logged foods in a meal), the US measurements are inaccurate, and the statistics aren’t accurate. Complete trash. Oh, but they have an AI tracker (note: AI has no idea what ingredients are in your food from a picture—it’s stupid to think it would be accurate), which you can’t get rid of. You can turn it off, but the banner stays on the add food screen and it prompts you randomly. Oh, and you can’t look back in the app on days you logged more than a few weeks past. You can’t even export the data to look at in a spreadsheet. What a waste of money.

  14. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Stop AI. I’m disappointed to see that the app has added AI. I’m tired of all these corporations trying to shove AI down our throats. It’s ruining the environment as a whole and the environmental impact immediately targets low income and communities of color because they put their data centers in these areas. SHAME!!!

  15. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Untrustworthy. “What gender were you born with”. Well, I immediately cannot trust this app to be accurate.

  16. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Не получается зарегаться. На этапе онбординга не дает пройти дальше. Кнопку продолжить на последнем этапе не кликабельна

  17. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Waste of money compared to free apps. The $20 smart scale I bought off Amazon comes with a free app that’s 100x better, no ads, no subscription, more features, and less buggy than this app.

    Ужасное. Ноль пользы

  20. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

No longer works. This app used to be my go-to and I was using it consistently for almost 3 years, however for the past couple of months it has stopped working, whenever I input the food I consumed it does not track it. I’ve tried logging in and out multiple times, resetting my phone, deleting and redownloading the app however all of these have failed and the app remains unresponsive. I’ve had to resort to other ways of tracking my calories that are not as simple, this is such a disappointment.

  21. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Very inaccurate information, not worth the time or money. I got this app hopeful that the AI feature would mean better database and accuracy. After two weeks of taking screenshots of the nutrition information from established chains, packaged meals, pretty much everything- to correct the wildly inflated information it auto-records, it just is not worth the effort. Then the app made it harder to record food details via screen shot! I figured out how to get to the old view, but was so tired of having to correct everything- taking even more time than the time I thought I would save. I should have known that an annual subscription was code for ‘you probably would have canceled after the first month, so we’ll trick you into thinking it’ll make your life easier and make the ‘annual’ subscription look like a deal!’

  22. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

App keeps crashing. App isn’t working properly and I have been using it for over a year and pay a lot of money that I care about my streak and want to input my food but the app many times has issues that prevent me from tracking my food

  23. ★★★★inaccurate results and incorrect data

Awful app. This app is awful! Almost every day of the week, I report incorrect nutritional info for something I’ve scanned. The biggest waste of money! Don’t use it!

  24. ★★★★a long onboarding quiz torches activation for people who came just to count calories

Calorie App Ruined by AI. This was a once extremely solid choice for a calorie counter app. For the years I’ve been subscribed, they’ve slowly made it worse and worse. Now they’re doing what every developer is doing in every space: ramming AI down our throats against our will. They’ve even changed the name to “Lifesum: AI Calorie Counter” which is a pathetic joke. Even with the AI tracking option turned off, there’s a big glowing button suggesting you use your camera and let AI count the calories for you. It should be easy. Scan UPCs of what you eat, enter information for ones that don’t exist, create meals with your own numbers… All calorie counter apps are glorified calculators. The reason anyone subscribes is because the convenience of having an app that does the math for you is worth the time-save of keeping a physical food journal. When the developers slowly obfuscate their own UI, hide/remove convenient features, and now force ridiculous AI features into the app, that’s when I call it. I’ll be discontinuing my years long auto-renewal and looking elsewhere for calorie tracking options. Hopefully there are other decent counters out there that don’t follow the same path Lifesum has.

  25. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Paid app. I can’t even try it out to see if I like it first. It immediately makes you purchase a subscription.

  26. ★★★★inaccurate results and incorrect data

AI ruined the app. AI ruined the app. Completely inaccurate and not user friendly. Fix it Jesus.

  27. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

What happened and WHY. 4/2026 update: I canceled premium after 6 years and switched to Cronometer. Lifesum removed useful tools like meal sharing and added useless AI that crashes frequently. Really loved it but it’s not worth it anymore. They saw a useful, intuitive app that people loved and were willing to pay for and decides to destroy it. The question is why? Why remove the ability to share meals with others from within the app? It crashes and freezes constantly. It’s infuriating. Sort it out fast or be ready to lose your customers to other tracking apps.

  28. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Completely unusable. App has been increasingly glitchy. I’m a premium member and can’t even get a hard boiled egg to upload into my log. I’ve logged out, I’ve updated the app, everything.

  29. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

ANNOYINGGGG. This app has progressively gotten worse over several months. I used to get the pop up message “please sign out and log back in” every time I open the app. NOW I’m automatically being signed out to every single day I open the app I have to log in. How garbage is that. My other grievance is the convenience of logging food. If I had something for lunch, why is it not in the recents for me to add to dinner? Yet I can add yesterday’s dinner but not another serving of the lunch I just had. Why does the app assume I wouldn’t ever eat the same thing for dinner that I had for lunch? Either way I’m ditching this app to the curb, I’m done trying to stick it out

  30. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Don’t waste your money. Very glitchy and highly frustrating, after using it for 14 months on the premium version. Coaching refers to evening meal at noon, instead of recommending items for lunch. It is always 8 hours of my cycle and there is nothing that can fix it. Logged items disappear, only to reappear after relogging in. Lags, spinning wheel of death, sudden crashes and dropped data are the norm. Logged a 400 calorie meal, but the daily total showed the meal as only 36 calories. I went to the meal to check for an error and it reported 400 calories, back to the summary and it showed 36 calories. How can an App not know what time of day it is or do simple math?
