  1. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Makes you buy a subscription. Makes you buy a subscription before you even start.

  2. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Rip off. You have to pay to use it, completely false advertiding!!

  3. ★★★★inaccurate results and incorrect data

Inaccurate Nutrition Information. Salmon was listed as containing 0 Omega-3s. Alerted customer service and was completely given run around. App was clearly vibe-coded and rushed to production.

  4. ★★★★a long onboarding quiz torches activation for people who came just to count calories

Database is not verified as claimed. Multiple barcode scanned items show WILDLY incorrect data that was clearly not verified. A protein shake with a calorie count 1/5 of the calories the recorded macros amount to should have thrown up an auto review.

  5. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Built for men not women. Immediately deleted. Got excited when it asked what days I wanted more calories. Obviously as a woman you want this the week leading up and during your period. Nope. Only gave an option for days. The app was clearly built for men not women

  6. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Terrible.. Lots of questions, then lets you know there’s a subscription. Feels like false advertising. Where are the good simple apps that aren’t trying to be some terrible AI fitness coach?

  7. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Only premium memberships. You can only use this app if you buy the membership👎👎 I understand wanting to sell a premium version of the app that has more features but if you’re gonna sell the app for free in the App Store then you should have at least a standard version that works without paying.

  8. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Bad data, garbage results. The food library has way too much variation, which leads to inconsistent outcomes. Find something that actually curates and sanity checks its data or you are going to waste your time spent dieting or in the gym

  9. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Have to pay. Yes the app is free, but when you upload alllll your info, you have to pay. I deleted as soon as I downloaded it.

  10. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Automated calorie adjustments are awful!. I’m a very active person, working out with intensity 6 days per week. My BMR is around 2100 cals per day. This ridiculous app says I should only be consuming 1600! Talk about insanely unhealthy. A complete waste of money.

  11. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Set my calories far too low. Hi all, I am 5'7, 150lb and female. I'm pretty lean, when I signed up almost a year ago, it set my daily goal to 1234 calories and my maintaining pace at 1500 calories. Something I noticed is it doesn't even ask about how active you are which is very crucial to a fitness plan. 1234 calories would be just fine if I literally sat on the couch all day. There's not really a way for me to change this. It's very annoying, I have compared my calories to other sites such as online calculators and my fitness pal, that both concluded my calories should be set anywhere between 1600-1800 calories. I struggled to hit 1236 (as most would) until I took a GLP and that's when I really realized it set my goals FAR TOO low. My hair started falling out (possibly due to low calories), muscle started to fall and energy completely left. This needs to get better 🤷‍♀️ there's literally an option to set ur goals a little above 800 calories ( I think it's called low bar) which is very very unhealthy for anyone. Personally I believe this app is not the best for counting calories. It also does not have a large data base and it makes it very hard to find items you are trying to track.

  12. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Stupid. Tricks you into believing it’s free only to hit you with an 11 dollar subscription

  13. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Disappointed. Very disappointed with barcode scanner when logging food it’s calculating incorrect macro breakdown even when sever size is matching label, this has happened multiple times and tested it on MyFitnessPal and it worked no problem. Unfortunately I will not be buying the subscription after my trial I would have expected this to work flawless.

  14. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

AI Doesn’t Work. I need a refund, the AI doesn’t work.

  15. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Bad macro app. Literally won’t let me change any type of food I eat. I eat clean and it doesn’t work with me. I quit my trial a month ago still waiting for it to runout on may 15th

  16. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

oy vey. give me all your info then at the end I will charge you $15/month for a calorie counting app. current state btw

  17. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

WHAT AN AWFUL APP!!. Paid for a subscription and the app won’t recognize it. Stuck in a loop asking me to subscribe again, and “Restore Purchases” doesn’t work. Tried reinstalling and logging in/out—nothing. Currently paying for something I can’t even use. Frustrating.

  18. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Misleading. They should be more upfront about the cost of this app. No reason for me to download the app and fill out a ton of information only for me to realize it will cost me $6-12 per month. No free version which is fine, but that should be easier to see before the app is downloaded.

  19. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Horrible customer service and app doesn’t work. The app let me sign up for a subscription, confirmed the subscription and then stuck me in a loop trying to get me to continuously subscripbe. Customer service was useless just repeating the same script regardless of how many times I told them there was no option to sign out and restoring purchases did nothing.

  20. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

No free value. This app has no value unless you pay for subscription. There is zero value. Unless you ready to pay monthly subscription of at least $5, skip downloading the app.

  21. ★★★★search fails to find what is needed

Not accurate calculations and nowhere to find help. I logged several meals and this app COMPLETELY miscalculated the macros! I entered the recipe link and entered the correct serving size. The recipe had 45g of protein, and it calculated 9g of protein. I searched all over to find a way to contact someone and see what was going on… nothing. And the “help button” only gives two options and no trouble shooting.

  22. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

cant see weekly calories. this app sucks. once the week is over, it’s impossible to see a weekly total for your calories. No way to tell how many calories I ate last week.

  23. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Waste of time. spend 5 to 10 minutes curating and crafting your own profile just to be met with a paywall, and then just sell off all my information when I delete the app

  24. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Waste. Scammed me for a dumb calorie amount no sane person will eat 800 calories a day unless you have anorexia (which I don’t) I think it pretty common knowledge that it’s unhealthy to eat under 1500 calories I paid 70 buck for some bs

  25. ★★★★trust in the number is a tracker's only asset, AI trades it for a guess and the product…

Not worth the price. This app is marketed as a next level calorie tracker to lose weight. However, the interface is not user friendly at all. It is extremely hard to find your overview of macronutrients for the day, and there’s no tracker for micronutrients that I saw. It also has a terrible database for tracking foods, I couldn’t even find a standard 150 calorie pre-packaged rice krispy treat! The free version of My Fitness Pal is 10x better than this app. Also, it put me at an 800kcal deficit to lose 1 lb a week?! That’s extreme, not sustainable, and dangerous!

  26. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Help. Can i not see foods i logged last week to re log them? Why do i have to save it to my favorites

  27. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Waste of time. Anything that makes me spend five minutes entering my personal data then to ask me to pay a subscription pisses me tf off

  28. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Ai pictures are permanently loading for the last month. The app was working great until ai pictures were stuck analyzing 100% of the time. I have deleted and reinstalled about 5 times - and it never fixed itself. Unfortunate since it’s a great app otherwise but the pictures are a big reason why I would use this over mfp.

  29. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Not worth money. I have been following Jeff’s science based tool for a long time so after the app was launched I excitedly got it. I chose 6month paid option to aid with my fat loss journey. As I started using it, I realized the algorithm is all jacked up. My BMR on conservative side is 1700. After a month of regular use, the app’s check in function dropped my cals to 1400. This is ludicrous given the fact that going this low would trigger other medical issues like Thyrodism (Hypo/Hyper). After few weeks of use, I have stopped using this app. The food tracking is also very cumbersome compared to free apps. My recommendation, use a free calories tracking app, do your due diligence in calculating your macros and stick to it. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND this app. This review is only for the app. I still like JN’s science based workout philosophy.

  30. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

App is Great, but the privacy promise is misleading and the AI feature is laughable. As far as the app’s usability, it is great. No real complaints. However: 1) they claim to value user privacy, but only allow you to pay for the app via Apple or Google Play Services. It has been at least two years since I asked them to fix this. 2) they include an AI scanner that purports to determine an item’s nutritional information with a picture. This is farcical. All of the investment they put into this terrible AI feature could have gone into allowing users to pay for their service on the web (which would actually help them get around the mafia-esque cut taken by Apple and Google). Instead, they chase the same moronic fad the rest of the industry is chasing.
