Nonfunctional. It asked for access to my Google Calendar info, I gave it access, then it sent me back to the beginning. I went through multiple times and was unable to progress through to an actual functioning portion of the app. So now it has access to my Google Calendar data and I have nothing in return

Doesn’t work. My yardstick for an AI helper is, does it work when I need it to? Granola fails that test. It works when it wants to, which means that it’s useless.
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Not useful at all. It seems this app/ai is too much in developmental stage. It doesn’t work well with Google Meet, although it requires and integrates everything through Google. This is very problematic. Also very concerned about information they may continue to hold onto after I delete my account. AVOID THIS APP AT ALL COST.
- ★★★★★an update broke a familiar workflow
New update sucks. New update keeps crashing down on iPad, can’t seem to run, can’t create new folders, stuck every time I open the app Terrible

iPad app lacks integrations. iPad app doesn’t allow integrations to crm and notion. Terrible flaw.
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Click once and freezes. Idk if it’s only be a problem on my phone but anytime I try to start a meeting the entire screen freezes. The only way to fix it is to close the app entirely. Very frustrating because I pay for the service and use it on my laptop, but want it to work on my phone too.

Shady. It wants my google login just to take notes? No thanks.

GCAL only- really?. Just downloaded and tried again- LOL- still forced to log into GCal to even launch the app? Just…wow. Step 1- read about cool new alternative to Otter.AI on TechCrunch. Step 2- find and download. Step 3- realize that it mandates GCal sign on to even launch the app- and that many tech companies all over the world- especially those with over 500 employees don’t use Google for scheduling. Step 4- Delete app. Step 5- ponder once again how product managers make decisions that seem to make no sense related to addressable markets.

Not recording. I have many issue with the app. It’s simply not recording… And yes I have launched the recording before the meeting started
- ★★★★★privacy and excessive permissions
Requires a Google Account. I hate Google’s utter disregard for personal privacy and have opted not to have a Google account. This app requires one to use it. This is a AI note taking system. It shouldn’t require you to have a Google account. I will continue to use Plaud which is really good and doesn’t require you to have an account with another company to use it. It’s too bad. If they ever change this, I’ll give them a try.

Does not transcribe well for in-person meeting. This is a mobile/iOS review. The desktop is fantastic with Google Meet. On mobile though, the use case for Granola is to transcribe in-person meeting, which he does very poorly at the moment because it’s not able to distinguish different speakers. Will bump my review to 5-stars when that’s fixed
- ★★★★★a needed feature is missing
Overall helpful but often still frustrating.. I find the app overall helpful with helping me to pass my circular thinking onto the paper and structure it better. At the same time I find it very annoying that there’s no possibility to edit raw notes, the AI notes are often hallucinating and change the meaning, making the whole note less usable, and understandable. I wish there was possibility to edit the raw note and also set the button how heavy should the AI summary be when creating the note. The summary is way more helpful when attending meetings. Also, it doesn’t listen to commands about making notes closer to the original through the Chat option.
- ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific
Can’t record phone calls unless they’re outgoing. Pretty useless as a transcriber if you can only use it when you initiate calls. A great app would be able to receive calls and record those as well. You don’t always control that you are making the outbound call.
- ★★★★★slow performance and long loading times
Nice app, nothing new in months. In the world of rapid AI innovation having an app that is not making any major progress and only providing performance and stability improvements is simply not enough. There are lots of requests on the website and many more that would be useful but there is no progress being made and absolutely no communication on what is coming soon. Makes you think that this will die on the vine soon. Hopefully we will see some progress soon.

Huge oversight. the fact that you can’t ask or see how long a meeting lasted is absurd

No, it isn’t compatible “on this iPad”. Great app. I use it on iPhone and Windows, but crashes on iPad, despite the listing claiming “works on this iPad”. I hold meetings from iPad often and this support would be great. Seeing as iPad is really just a big iPhone, shouldn’t be that hard.

Nice. Took me a minute to figure out how to view the whole transcript, but with that I am pretty happy.

AUDIO. When will granola include the original audio as well as the transcript

Good so far — PLEASE MAKE COMPATIBLE W/ WATCH. I’m in custom fabrication and this is going to be a very useful tool. I will update to 5 stars when I can use the app on my watch.
- ★★★★★the free version provides real value
Wow. Continually impressed by this platform. Been using the premium service (on their 30-day free trial) for less than a month, and I’m not even curious about experiencing the free version. I want everything I’m getting now and forever.

Granola has quietly become the most indispensable app on my Mac.. I've tried many meeting recorder and note-taking tool out there, and nothing comes close. The transcription quality is genuinely impressive - not the hedging "pretty good for AI" kind, but the kind where you scroll back through a dense technical call and every word is where it should be. What separates Granola from everything else is the philosophy behind it. It doesn't join your meeting as a bot, doesn't awkward-sit in the corner of your video call, doesn't require anyone's permission or awareness. It just listens and works. That alone is worth five stars. The post-meeting summaries are wonderful - structured, readable, and actually reflective of what was discussed rather than a word-salad transcript with bullet points slapped on top. And the built-in AI lets you interrogate your own meetings afterward: pull a specific decision, reconstruct an action item list, answer "wait, what did we actually agree to?" The answers are good. For power users: the MCP integration is a game-changer. Hooking Granola into your own LLM workflows means your meeting history becomes a living knowledge base, not a graveyard of forgotten notes. I found Granola somewhat by accident, and I'm genuinely glad I did. It's one of those rare tools that solves a real problem elegantly, without compromise.
- ★★★★★the app helps achieve the intended result
Awesome tool. This tool has helped me remember important conversations and share them with my family
- ★★★★★clear and easy workflow

Review. The app generates all the vital information and summarizes perfectly. Def recommend

Peace of mind for ADHD. This is only my second day using Granola and just being able to offload all the ideas in my head very easily from an icon on my lock screen is just so awesome because I have a safe place for my ideas to go and they end up organized and formatted in a way that’s easy to see what I capture. Then automate send to a Google folder where I can ask Claude/Gemini/etc to search my captured notes for X idea or give me a summary of everything related to X, feels like such a nervous system reset for me. Highly recommend.

BEST FREE APP EVER.. I hate how every single app like this trys to push a subscription. But this one doesn’t. And I love it so much because it saves so much time and stress and it’s great if you have super long meetings or lectures . USE IT! Also y’all I ain’t a bot

Game changer? Nah, life changing.. Granola managed to turn my biggest weakness (useful note taking) into one of my new superpowers. It really helps make sure that your “next steps” not only are the right steps, but that they also get done.

Overtly Improved My Meeting Attendance. Knowing that Granola is capturing the conversation has let me be more present in my meetings. Notes are well written and mostly accurate. I always suggest reviewing them and making corrections right after the meeting.
