Absolutely Worthless wth Dropbox. This app will not connect in any way, shape, or form to Dropbox. If you use Dropbox for anything, hard pass on this. That’s not necessarily bad, but they advertise that it connects to Dropbox. Stole my money.

Everything is invisible. Something happened that I didn't do and now everything in the editor window is invisible. I cannot access any notes because the content is invisible. Adding content is invisible too. I tried toggling the modern editor (new TextKit) but that didn't change things.

DONT SPAM ME. YOU SPAMMED ME FOR A REVIEW. HERE IT IS. ONE STAR. DONT SPAM ME EVER.

Whut. Bizarre little app in how user-unfriendly it is. I suppose this is primarily for people that write code and are used to those sort of tools. I just wanted a straightforward app to write out full chapters of fanfic and my original stories. Guess I simply picked the wrong app. Idk. 🤷🏾♂️

Freezes in iPad IOS26.1 with External Kayboard. I have been a user for several years. That is until IOS26.0 and it freezing and crashing with external keyboard. They said it would be fixed in IOS26.1, but the problem still exists. I will be switching to Obsidian which is not as straight forward or simple to use, but at least it works.

Stop with the pop ups. I only use this for frictionless writing that doesn’t distract me so I can get my idea out before it goes because I have significant brain damage. If you cease to provide this functionality and make me lose another good idea I will cease to find this app relevant. I want an option to see updates WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT. Otherwise I DO NOT CARE. I ONLY care about not having a distraction when I want inspiration strikes. If you work just as badly as notes I will just go back to that. One more time and I am out and when I read this I will state it. I would pay to shut you up and leave me alone to never get a popup again. Insufferable companies need to stop harming our productivity to tell me what you want credit for. LATER when I feel like it. Have a tab to see updates and make it a pretty color instead or something. Learn how people work or you will be another app that becomes irrelevant because it should.

Update Buries Undo Feature. Updating the app caused the edit undo button to be buried in the keyboard. I made the mistake of hitting enter while a block of text was highlighted, deleting the text… by the time I found the “undo” button buried in the keyboard settings, I could not recover that deleted block of notes. Frustration worthy of a one star review.

IT WAS BETTER BEFORE WTH. whi changed the app dude such a stupid change bring old back
- ★★★★★an update broke a familiar workflow
update ruined it. app update removed my actions configuration. why? editing actions prompts for a fee now. app was perfect before this. major loss. going back to drafts 4.

U better be advanced to use this. Been an annual subscriber 2 years. As a project manager I have some simple needs like creating a document with auto format for lists, indentation being kept for next lines. Having the font not get bigger if I indent. I’m sure all the possible features I want r buried deep in settings using their own verbiage and I’m sure they would bag on me being ignorant. I really don’t care because I can’t be more happy ending my subscription for it.

DON’T BUY A SUBSCRIPTION IT DOESN’T WORK. I bought a subscription today to transcribe something due by the end of the day. My goodness, it would not recognize my subscription. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and repeated. I restored and finally was able to get it to stop giving me an error message but the only thing it will save is a link that takes you back to the app. You can’t copy and paste the entire thing, just a 1 page sample. I wasted a tremendous amount of time, including submitting 2 support tickets and have received no reply. Unless you have plenty of time to fritter away, I’d say to go with a more professional, or at least functional, program

Messy menu system. I’ve used this app for around a year or more and I still can’t make sense of how the menu system works

pop up ratings push. I automatically give three stars to any app that interrupts me to try and get me to give it a rating. UPDATE the developer sent an email, explaining how to turn off the ratings push. Thank you. Back to a five star rating.

New update makes it impossible to select text on mobile. Try it on your device and see for yourself. The mobile app went from rock solid to totally unusable. Right now my review is 1 star. If they fix this and make it so I can easily copy and paste text without the app suddenly jumping to a new place, then I’ll change my review to five stars.

Does not work. When you need this app to work, it simply let you down and does not save anything.

Help. Have used this app happily for a long time.. but lost ALL when I got a new phone and had to reinstall😳 and later.. does the paid version let you add imagines/photos to a draft??

Subscriptionware. No lifetime purchase option; greedy and expensive.
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Sigh.. another subscription app. Why does every app nowadays require a subscription? This is a notes app… What happened to the days of one-time purchases to own things. Because this app has adopted the trend of milking customers each month, I’m giving 1-star.

It’s a lease, not a subscription.. I used to subscribe to Nat Geo when I was in school. As long as I paid, I received the magazine. When I stopped paying, I stopped receiving the magazine. I still have every usste that I received as part of my subscription. The Apple model is not a subscription, it’s a lease. The classic upgrade model is a true subscription - you keep the features that you paid for, you don’t get the new ones. I realize that the Drafts developers did not set the rules, but I don’t see myself committing long teen to a set of features that I will lose the moment I stop paying.

No More Copy? Subscription?. Copy doesn’t work for me anymore. What am I missing? Is this the result of moving to a subscription model. I will NEVER pay for subscription apps. If this is the case, shame on the developers. What once was a good app is now hobbled by greed.

Light mode. It’s really annoying that the developers require a subscription just to change it from dark mode to light mode. Even Apple notes lets you force notes to use a light background when in dark mode. For me this is a non-starter, I won’t even attempt to use this software anymore. I’m always looking for a better place for organizing my writing but if I can’t try this in a comfortable way first then why bother.

Awful timing. Don’t request a review in the middle of a drag and drop operation
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Subscription? NOPE.. Sorry, you guys have flooded the App Store with subscriptions. No thanks.

The upcoming plague.... Subscriptions, subscriptions, and subscriptions. The new iOS scam.
- ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific
Yawn.... Yet another boring app that does the same exact thing that 1000 other apps do. There is nothing that makes it special vs the others. Remember when apps use to be exciting? I can’t remember the last time when one actually did something unique and useful.

Could not get the work. Sounds like a great idea installed are usually just couldn’t get it to work. Hopefully they get the bugs out of it and I can download it and try it again. I paid for two months of service never used it once. If anybody reads it from the developer I want to help me get a working would love that.

Too difficult too complex. I am pretty technically proficient but the need for programming to do many simple things that could easily be automated makes this a very frustrating program. There could be better training and more step-by-step tutorials. It’s a shame because I believe it might be a great app.

Keeps asking and interrupting.. Every time I’d like to throw a quick note down I’m hampered by the consistent requests to submit a rating and review. Well here it is. A simple desire to jot a note down quickly turns into cutting off what I was doing and making me click 3 times.

Good. Just this time lol probably just me

Subscription Shame. I paid for Drafts 3, I paid for Drafts 4. Around $9.99 each. Figure two years for each version and I paid $19.98 for four (now five) years of functionality. $20/4=$5/year. Now, you want $20 for just one year? For the same features I still have in Drafts 4? It’s a fancy text input, it’s gotten clunkier, and now to actually use the automation stuff in a way that’s actually useful (like picking *which* reminders list to use, or to append to the start of a specific note in a particular Evernote notebook) you must cough up $20/yr. I will not pay $20/year for a text tool (it’s not up to par to call this a text editor); your app is a feature, not a product.
