  1. ★★★★a needed feature is missing

Needs a better layout. You have to dig to find anything and you cannot favorite playlists to easily go back to them. The mobile app is also not made for people with anxiety. Too many taps to get to any of the calming music. Way too much focus on the breathy talking and not enough music with no vocals just to clear the mind.

  2. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Terrible experience switching. My employer switched to calm health and I could never get the switch to work from Calm. Call was good, not sure what Calm Health is but since the app is unusable I won’t find out.

  3. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Calm. Every single time I open the app you ask for a review and it’s so annoying. It already takes a little bit longer to find what you’re looking for and every time I’m asked to Rate. I’m gonna give you a one every time.

  4. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Just awful. Was covered by my health insurance and they just randomly billed me, would only answer my inquiry with a canned response and did not review the issue. It took weeks to get a canned response. And not they tried to bill me again. I blocked them through my bank. I highly do not recommend

  5. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Horrible ui and ux, odd choices for features. The app seems like it purposefully refreshes the ui in order for the user to go through the steps of finding what they want again. Even a few minutes away means you have to find what you're looking for again. It also requires a tremendous number of logins for absolutely no particular reason. The app features nothing that would require a user to login multiple times. The ui is clunky, favorites are almost impossible to find. Overall, it seems like they made it difficult to use - for an app called Calm, it sure is frustrating to use.

  6. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Keep having to sign in. It is not helpful if I have to sign in approximately every 3 days. I haven’t memorized the password so the app is pretty much useless for stress relief.

  7. ★★★★search fails to find what is needed

Lack of function. Where is the search field? I just want to find white noise, not be forced to take a mental health screening. Funds it very difficult to browse. I don’t want AI telling me what I need. Very disappointed my company switched from the standard Calm App to this Calm Health. I am using it much less, very frustrated when I try to use it which is obviously not good for my mental same emotional health.

  8. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Has potential. I have been using a free app I love for years (insight timer) so that’s my only point of comparison. Now I have a premium version of this app amd it is not just extremely limited but just fails to deliver. Very disappointing

  9. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Soundscapes cycle defect. With the original app I played the same soundscape but with calm health it has an intermittent second of stopping causing my sleep interrupted. This showcases the opposite approach to my goal with this category of app.

  10. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Not as good.. Had the original calm app and was given this one by my insurance. It’s far worse. The interface is less intuitive the screenings are more invasive. And worst of all is that there is no sleep timer on the soundscapes. Utter failure.

  11. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

US Heathcare at its worse. The non heath version is way better experience.

  12. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

stop the next session from starting. can you please turn off autoplay? it’s the single reason i can’t use this app.

  13. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

No good. I can’t get in anymore

  14. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Frustrating App. The app has some good content but it requires you to go through the complete sign in process EVERY SINGLE TIME you open the app. It becomes so frustrating you will eventually just stop using it. No face ID or other simple options. I gave up on this app. Clearly the developers can't get it together.

  15. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Logging me out. Everytime I launch the app I am logged out and it forces me to reauthenticate. Very frustrating.

  16. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Pales in comparison to the regular Calm app. Some really nice features (playlists) and lots of content are missing in this version of the app. Also there’s no way to connect my Calm and Calm Health app so anything I saved in the original I have to dig back up and save (if it exists) in the Calm Health app making it very cumbersome.

  17. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Maybe one of the WORST apps I’ve ever used. I tried to use this app and tried to link it with my Sonos, but it said I was not a subscriber. I then realized I was using Calm Health but not the real app. Sonos really needs to allow the use of this app with its service. I am NEVER using this app again and am happy without it.

  18. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Have to login over and over. This would be a good app if it didn’t make you constantly log in. No other app I have makes you do this.

  19. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Cannot login since authentication code will not send from app. I created an account through my employer and logged in, but when asked for my phone number for authentication code to be sent… all I get is an error message that says “code cannot be sent, try again later.” I have tried later for two days now. There is no contact to inquire about this problem. For a “calm” app, this is incredibly frustrating.

  20. ★★★★login, signup and account access

Can’t use app and no details on how to contact administrator. I have an account and a program has been created but I’m unable to log into the app at all and can only see/use it online which I don’t want to do. I get a “500” error and directions to contact an apparently nonexistent administrator. Help please!

  21. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Needs phone verification which doesn’t work. Was invited to participate, but to register you can’t use your existing profile, but they want your google profile or Apple login and you must verify a phone number (but the verification doesn’t even work). No thanks.

  22. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Big FAIL in terminology. I went to enter my conditions and was appalled to find that Calm is so out-of-touch. No one has Chronic MigraineS. This is a chronic neurological condition with no cure, not a type of headache. You wouldn’t say someone gets asthmas and you don’t say someone gets migraines either. I have migraine and it causes migraine attacks. This sort of language perpetuates the stigma that leaves migraine research chronically underfunded, leaves people with migraine struggling to get bosses, co-workers, and even family to understand the reality of this disease. I expected better from you, Calm.

  23. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Stresses me out. The content is good if you can get to it. If I haven’t been in the app in a while, trying to hack into it and re-register and go through the evaluation process — this elevates my stress level. When using a meditation series, it doesn’t indicate which days have been completed - so I have to scroll through and figure it out or repeat. Maybe the Calm App (vs. Calm Health) has better user friendly engagement - but not sure I would be willing to pay the subscription to find out.

  24. ★★★★★slow performance and long loading times

Annoying and slow. The splash screen takes too long to open. Then it always makes an invasive suggestion. All I want when I open it is to listen to sleep sounds.

  25. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Not user friendly. This has the potential of being great, but it is difficult to find what you want, and you end up having to scroll through a long list of content before finding the one you are looking for. There is also no way to save a list of preferred mediations for example. Also, a lot of the meditation sessions are way too long. Some of the sleep mediations are over 30 min long. The audio ends up waking me up from sleep. Please make this more user friendly and easier to navigate.

  26. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Adds stress when trying to reduce stress. The calm health app and its connection to UHC seems more stress inducing rather than relaxing

  27. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Missing features from Calm. Basically the same app as Calm but a lot less things. You can’t go back and listen to old Dailies or Meditations. It has a very limited library. Also, no ambient noise or background sounds in the app like Calm does. I miss those things!

  28. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

No timer option. This app is offered through my health plan. It’s effectively useless for me without the ability to set a timer on the sleep sounds.

  29. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Please add feature!!!. My company sponsored a Calm membership, but found it cancelled. New Benefit Provider (UHC) new Calm Health app…MISSING the ability to Favorite Playlists for Sleep, Relaxation…etc. though you can favorite individual “sessions” within which does NOT bring you to the playlist just plays that “session”, track, song, whatever you choose to call it. So…each night or each day the user has to search for the darn playlist through the glitchy, scroll freezing app, to find a playlist. This design should have copied the original Calm app features, then layered in the extra psychiatric evaluation/self - help recommendations and programs. If you ask me I’d say it’s more frustrating than “Calm”ing. This must be specifically designed to cater to commercial accounts and collect data due to not much thought out into legacy transitions, where none of your previous account info transfers, yet you still login through Calm portal if a legacy customer. Poor transitional integration, this was designed for “New Users”, and offers only base functionality.

  30. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Not a fan. I’ve been a user of the calm app for years. Due to changes my employer made to benefits I was forced over to this calm health app instead and I am not a fan. It’s missing many features from the normal calm app including proper iPad support (it’s just displaying the phone app). I’m considering just paying for calm premium out of pocket but everything I want to listen to is here so the idea of paying for a bunch of missing app features rubs me the wrong way. I really don’t understand why I don’t have the option to just use the normal Calm app still, as far as I can tell the actual content is the same. I would even consider paying a small subscription “upgrade” to full premium instead of this healthcare sponsored garbage.
