  1. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

No good for social anxiety. I did not find this app helpful at all for social anxiety. I’m athletic and very in tune with my body and do not experience anxiety from things internal. No refund was granted despite unhappiness with app.

  2. ★★★★a needed feature is missing

Disappointed that it costs money. Was looking for a free opportunity to reduce anxiety I bet that it’s a great app but really wish it was free.

  3. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Price is hi. I started to create the account and when it came to price it is too hi for an app. Sorry. Deleted it fast.

  4. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Please change. I feel these lessons are too long and verbose for someone who is struggling-I also would like for you to give the option of a female coach for women who’ve been abused by men. I can’t stand to listen to this man.

  5. ★★★★login, signup and account access

Can’t access despite setting up an account. Just set up account and then cannot log in. Asking for PW reset and never received the reset email. Think it is a scam.

  6. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Play button does not work. I am guessing I would like it, but the play button only sporadically works, and each module is only a few minutes long so I spend more time trying to get it to play than actually listening to content.

  7. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Careful!! App collects WAY too much info on you in the background. If anyone takes a few minutes to read all the legal fine print, you’d understand the amount of data they collect on you and your device is ridiculously invasive. In fact this app doesn’t even allow you to stop trackers of some third party companies. For one in particular that you can opt out of, you have to instead read the terms and conditions to find the embedded URL, and then register with them just to remove your name. Absolutely not! Sorry, deleted the app once I saw this. Either you’re interested in helping people (even at a fee) or you’re digging into peoples personal info that doesn’t belong to you, only to make more money off of me. I only see the latter.

  8. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Still no access. This is a wonderful app I wish I could use, but I still have no access to the app for weeks. It only shows a blue title screen and goes blank—no access to use the app. Thank you for reading this It is the same problem I wrote about a month ago that keeps me from being able to access the app completely on my iphone11. Thank you again for your help and kind attention to my request.

  9. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

This app makes you pay for anxiety relief worst game ever. Makes u pay and u cant skip

  10. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Too expensive. How can you justify charging this much. On a monthly basis for this app? Should be a one time purchase. And even then less than the monthly recurring rate.

  11. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

So bad. Updated and doesnt even open on my ipad! I was so happy with previous version and now i am stucked. Impossible to get a previous version or support from the editor

  12. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Not helpful unless newbie. If you’ve been dealing with anxiety for awhile, as I have, you’ve probably already tried CBT strategies, mindfulness and meditation. If so, this program is just a rehash of that. Might be helpful if you’re dealing with food or other bad coping habits, not very useful for general anxiety. It feels rudimentary and moves at a painfully slow pace, either because they think you’re not capable of self-pacing or to drag the program out and force a continued subscription. Trial should be longer and should be self-paced to possibly accommodate preference of user…

  13. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Not letting me pay for only one month. The app will not let me try the subscription for just a month for $30. But it will allow for 6 months at $130! No thanks.

  14. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Very expensive if you never use it.. I may have used this app once or twice. I don’t remember agreeing to automatic monthly renewal at this very expensive price. To my dismay, I realized yesterday that I have paid $180 this year for an app I never use. - That I tried out maybe once or twice. What a rip off! Also canceling is not easy. I had to hunt through three apps and drill down to find the way to cancel.

  15. ★★★★data, history or progress disappears

Can’t delete amount. It’s not for me but I can’t delete. Almost one full week, and they can’t find me to remove me. Updated: Problem is fixed after one week thanks to customer service. Being able to delete the account on my own should always be an option I shouldn’t need anyone else for.

  16. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

They knew ALOT. I got an email from them ima 10 year old and they knew my info after I deleted the app I did not put any info but they knew about my anxiety I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

  17. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Locked Modules. Programmers of the app decided for the user what the users pace should be. This is a very annoying part of the app. The user cannot advance to next modules because they are locked.

  18. ★★★★accessibility and assistive-technology issues

Need CC for videos. I just downloaded this App. I chose it based on Dr. Brewer’s presentation in the Calm app on “Bad Habits.” I have significant experience and education in A&P, Neuroscience, and Neuro-Pathophysiology. However I’m very disappointed. I am hearing impaired. And I can find no way to use Closed Captions on the videos. This is extremely disappointing and terribly frustrating. Why would I want to use an app to decrease my anxiety level when using it INCREASES my anxiety about my continuing hearing loss?!?!?!

  19. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Don’t waste your money for the paid app. The free trial was very helpful. However, once I changed to paid membership, the app stopped working. None of the videos would play. The screen was just black. I deleted the app to try to re-install to see if that would help. Now it says I don’t have a subscription. Don’t waste your money.

  20. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Technical issues. I have now spent more time dealing with technical problems raised by this app than I have received content from it.

  21. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Second Time Around. So, I tried to give this app another chance after listing to a repeat of a pod I follow. Nothing has changed and the price simply isn’t worth the content.. I’m sure it’s worked albeit temporarily for some, but the way he speaks throughout gets under my skin.. If you deal with moderate anxiety, this my give you some basic strategies to cope but for the seriously troubled.. the doc sounds childish and condescending.. there were actually eye rolling moments for me.. Queue the generic developer response… Thanks for your feedback Blah blah journey .. best of luck blah blah

  22. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Way too expensive for okay content, clunky app.. I wanted this to work because I’ve appreciated Judd’s approach for years. The content simply never helped me even after going through the entire course twice and then doing some sessions three times. In fact, there’s not that much content after the courses. The tools are okay but are poorly integrated and don’t work with Apple Health. The community section is good but some respondents sound like they’re paid to be on the community or could even be bots. The UI, though, has barely changed and has a very unintuitive process of getting around. The developers haven’t ever seems to update it besides squishing some bugs. No easy navigation, no dark mode, no new content. What is amazing is the price for the app subscription. I don’t see how this justifies a c. $200 for an annual subscription. It’s been such a poor experience, in fact, that I’m skeptical of Judd’s approach and motives for putting something like this out.

  23. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

    Review. Expensive and difficult

  24. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Far too Expensive, try the book. After a short trial period, the app asks for $30 a month or $210 a year. In return, you get their 30 day program, some additional content, and live (mass) videos with Dr. Brewer, as well as a community to interact with. Dr. Brewer’s work is getting huge media coverage — I’m sure this app is being downloaded by huge numbers of people. I don’t see how they can justify the pricing for what they’re delivering in return. The book is available for around $20, and has the same essential content as the app, down to the same anecdotes and analogies. I’d try that first before spending on the app.

  25. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Another way to consume the content?. The idea of this app is great, and I had hoped to be using it regularly, but I couldn’t get past the first lesson because there was no way to consume the content besides watching and listening to the videos. I would really prefer for there to be a transcript of the videos to read, or at least the videos could be closed captioned.

  26. ★★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Unwinding anxiety. If I review a lesson and go backward, the app makes assumes that I am at that spot and wont unlock the next lesson for another day. This keeps happening. Disappointing. The material is great but I have missed two days because of this glitch.

  27. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Too expensive for a static content. Dr Brewer’s content is great. I finished the 5-week program in about a month and then cancelled my monthly subscription. At $30/month or $210/year, it feels overpriced for content that doesn’t change or get updated regularly. I’d happily pay this if new material were added; otherwise something like $5/month or $50/year seems more appropriate. The app itself also needs work: the UX/UI feels unfinished and not very professional, and the audio/text translations for some of the theme courses are misaligned.

  28. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Great program. Okay app.. The program is excellent. The app is good but has opportunity areas. Biggest one for me is not being able to listen to audio from the Lock Screen. The Bodyscan exercise tells you to sit or lie comfortably….but then it stops right in the middle of the exercise if the screen times out and locks. Very annoying.

  29. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Module 3 won’t play. I would like to use the app but the intro video for module 3 won’t play

  30. ★★★★★data, history or progress disappears

Recent iPhone 16.3.1 Update Breaks. I enjoy using this app and am currently on week 3 lesson 20. Unfortunately, I updated my iPhone 13 to 16.3.1 yesterday and ever since, I’m unable to complete the module and move forward. I’ve tried restarting my device but am afraid to delete and redownload the app and lose all my progress. Any thoughts on how to fix? I truly enjoy using this app each day.
