Not worth the money for this base functionality. Not worth the money given you can’t customize the exercises. Everything is based on your max hold time. Other similar apps are much more feature rich. Wish I could get a refund.
- ★★★★★an update broke a familiar workflow
Latest update killed the good stuff. Since the last update, the app keeps on crashing before the end of my training, so it has not recorded any of my latest trainings, nor has it let me finish them. On top of that, my phone screen keeps on turning off mid-training now, which makes it really hard for me to know when to switch from Apnea to ventilate. Oh and still no sound altering when to switch either??

Used to be decent. It’s essentially paying for a clock. It is overpriced but i needed it anyway so i hve been subscribed for a while. They updated the app and it removed the restore purchase function so they stole 5$ from me for that month. Saw they had a new lifetime thing so i thought what the heck might as well get it so i can stop paying. I end up getting it and the app breaks. Every time i do an exercise at the end the entire app freezes and doesnt record what i had done. Went from 3/5 to 0/5 stars instantly.

Dangerous!. CO2 breath holding periods are more than 50% of your PB breath hold. Should never be more than 50%. When you leave the app between intervals the time isn’t correct is passes way slower. No vibrate function on free version.

Look elsewhere. No instructions, app stopped functioning after 4 days

Shows potential, needs more refinement. There needs to be more explanation of the tables options. I subscribed and ads were NOT removed during the free trial. This gives me no confidence that they would be after the trial. After researching the tables and breath up patterns (should have been in app) I began practicing the CO2 tables. The count down timer and whole app locked up with 55.2 seconds left (starting at 1m50s) on the 4th cycle. As an iOS developer myself, I can only guess that buggy ad swapping code caused this. And, I should have not been seeing ads anyway with a yearly subscription. I canceled my subscription.

So so. If you know what you’re doing I’m sure it’s great. The “guide” gives very little guidance. And if the app closes out you lose progress. A mediocre free app at best.

Definitely some issues. To start the if you leave the app for any reason (e.I. Answer a text message) in the middle of the session when you return to the app it restarts the entire session.. also if you tap the stop/start button it does not momentarily pause the session it restarts, so would like there to at least be that. Also there is no way to customize times for your CO2 tables OR O2 tables you are stuck with whatever is given to you(far too basic, there are free apps that do this). The only way to manipulate times is to change your max breath hold. Ideally there would be a progression in the tables not static, this way it allows you to advance. Few other minor issues like crashes and general lack of info. But overall the other issues would make this a deal breaker.

Poorly constructed. This app sets the hold time for CO2 tables at 70% of your max. This is too long as your CO2 holds should be within 50% of your max. Additionally the breathing time only goes down to 45 seconds. There is no countdown to start your hold which forces you to look at your phone if you want to begin your hold on time. Poorly constructed, and poor training generation. I have no idea how this app got such good reviews

Starts too much time. Why no instructions. My max says 40 seconds but the first practice is 2:30???
- ★★★★★crashes, freezes and errors
Buggy. The timer slows down if you leave the app and do something else on your phone. When I tried to delete old incomplete sessions from years ago, it started to delete the latest sessions first.

Kind of useful, but flawed. Guys, you created a handy app, but it doesn’t keep accurate time in the background when it loses focus to another app. This is easy to fix - just compare the time stamp of when it was in focus last, to the one when it regains focus, and adjust the timer accordingly. Right now if I’m holding my breath while the timer is running, and I switch to another app (send a text for example) for 30 seconds, when I switch back to this app, only ~10 seconds have passed. Unacceptable on a paid subscription app. I’ve switched to the native iOS timer, and will be cancelling my subscription once it runs out, unless they fix these easy bugs.

Poor integration. The breathing tables are great. The pro version with audio is not worth buying until they get it to work while other audio apps are running. I bought the app specifically to do my breathing exercises while listening to podcasts, it doesn’t work like that. I would give this app five stars if they would upgrade it to work like maps (interrupt other audio apps) but until then it is a bummer to use.

Not ready for release. I like the simplicity, but I’ve hit a number of bugs. Things like: - paying for ad removal and still getting ads - data not being saved across sessions. - “length” is spelled wrong in the history - max breath hold test doesn’t generate tables, you have to set it manually in the options. Mostly I’m annoyed I wasted two weeks using the wrong tables.

Froze. During O2 training app froze and forced closed.

???. How do I even use this app?

Glitchy but Useful. The vibration setting doesn’t work for me at all. The out of app drop down notification doesn’t bring me back to my exercise, it closes out of the exercise session and I have to restart. BUT the daily reminders are useful, and as long as you keep the app open while completing an exercise, it works just fine.

Good if you don’t mind keeping the app open. While it does what is advertised (timers for ventilation and apnea built around CO2 and O2 tables) it’s frustrating that leaving the app during a session causes you to lose progress. The purpose of paying for this app is to be able to go through the tables with a guide telling you when to breath and when to hold. If I can’t leave the app for 15 seconds during a 2 minute step without it restarting, there’s no incentive to use this over timing yourself and using your own tables for free

Great foundation. A little buggy. Exercises like to reset if app is left running in background for too long. Keep it how it is but fix the bugs

Not bad, but not great.. It does what it’s supposed to...kinda. I have some complaints. - The audio notifications are great...almost. It tells you when to breath and hold your breath, except when a session is complete it doesn’t tell you to breath. So, I often find myself struggling only to find the session ended who knows how long ago. - when the voice speaks it lowers the volume of whatever you’re listening to. I usually have to mess with it a few times in the session. - I find myself hitting “Stop Training” when just touching my phone, losing 20-30 minutes of training. An “are you sure?” would be nice. - the voice is really slow, like slow motion. It’s a silly complaint, but why would they do that 😂 - Last and not least: I’ll donate to the dev or pay a good amount for Apple Watch support.
- ★★★★★a needed feature is missing
Hold time limit. The highest initial time you can input for hold length is only 1:40. My initial time is 2:30. I wish it would allow me to input that.

App freezes a lot. I enjoyed this app a lot at first. It’s simple and worked well, but now it freezes almost every time I use it. I imagine it needs an update, so will have to use another timer. I’m running on an iPhone 11 with iOS 13.3.

Premium features don’t persist. Love using the app, but I paid for Premium and every time I open the app I have to restore the purchase to get the premium features. Not sure why this setting doesn’t persist. Even when I do restore, the “Get Freedive Premium “ button never goes away. I have also noticed that if you switch apps while training, when you switch back the voice countdown will be stopped for the remainder of the countdown and there is now way to restore it.

Disappointed. I used as directed for a full month, my breath hold was worse than before !?
- ★★★★★clear and easy workflow
Like it…mostly. The apps easy to use and is as advertised. Adding a more soothing voice and maybe a 10 second warning before apnea would be a game changes. Also a mixer to adjust Spotify music and sound effects volume would be dope.

Hi. Nice job

This is awsome. Before I could only hold my breath for 30seconds now a minute they have two exercises on the free version not sure about the other one though I very much recommend this!

Great app, but something’s wrong with the exit button. It’s been a real help, but I have to exit the app in order to get to the main menu. The little x at the top doesn’t work
- ★★★★★stable and reliable performance
Good training. The app works great. Only issue I’ve found is that if you have to stop a cycle, when you start again what every cycle you’re on restarts at 2:00 regardless of what it is supposed to be. That’s the only fix it needs at this point. Perhaps more narrative for what you’re doing and why for those just starting the journey.

Good app. Good little app could use a little more explanation and maybe beeps when times are up. When you do co2 training the first step is just breath for 3 min i through me off but there was no explanation so I had to look it up online to see what it meant. But tones would be nice for when time is up so I can hear it if my eyes are closed.
