   Very unresponsive. App is very responsive and often have to close and try to reopen. Sometimes groups load and sometimes they don’t.

   Not reliable. This app is so awful. It logs me out and when I try to log in, I get an alert ‘things a bit twisted up at this moment’ and ask me to re-start the app. I do this a handful a day and so frustrating. Even the website is the same.

   iPad app only works in vertical mode. Why won’t this app rotate on an iPad??!?!? It makes it impossible to use on an iPad keyboard!

   Confusing. I got this app to make a College Dorm wishlist for my roommate and I to share with friends and family. I kid you not, I spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out how to add items into our group wishlist. I tried using the Help icon, and that didn’t help. The app layout is so confusing and not straight forward. You have to go through all of this extra stuff to add things to the list, and even that the instructions are so incredibly unclear. Honestly just gave me a headache to even try to figure it out. Will be deleting the app.

   Not Intuitive, Pushes Amazon. We are trying to get away from using Amazon as a retailer and as a way to share wish lists, so we have used Giftster 2 years in a row now. It’s terrible. You click to open one person’s list, and it opens another. For older people, it’s difficult to tell the difference between the “Buy” button and the “Find on Amazon” button. It doesn’t auto-update quickly across users when items have been purchased. Both years, we’ve all received duplicate gifts because of these types of issues (and the gift-givers range from under 30’s to mid-80’s in age). I understand that there may be a lot of things that can be assigned to user error, but as an app, it should be a goal to eliminate the possibility of user error. We’ll be exploring other options.

    Waste of time. This app is not efficient at all! It doesn’t even notify you who bought it or marked as available on the account’s list. Please make it more efficient so that it’s actually usable.

    Ghost kids. My sister setup a group for Christmas and her kids in the group are not available for me to access in the group. I can see it on her phone that she updates kids list and it set to share within the group but im unable to access that same list. i uninstalled the app and reinstalled and issue persisted and i went on the website through chrome and edge browser and still can’t access it. I even made sure i was in same group. Do not recommend.

    Items don’t come off list. Easy to use for adding but items don’t drop off list when other people mark it as purchased. Defeats the whole purpose. Won’t use again.

    Fastest Way to Ruin Christmas. The Secret Santa feature worked seamlessly last year. This year was a whole different story, glitchy would be an understatement people ended up being assigned receive a present, but no one to gift to. People that had been excluded from the secret Santa drawing were somehow still assigned to people (even though I double checked that they were excluded from the draw), several people ended up with the same secret Santa as last year despite checking the option to exclude same-draw. And at least two people in our family ended up without gifts. Trying to avoid family drama and this just created even more. Will never use again.

    Add photos. WHY CANT WE ADD PHOTOS FROM OUR CAMERA ROLL ON OUR PHONES?!!!! Simple feature not even added. Fix your app!!!!

    Great Concept, Bad UX. In a digital world where “UI/UX” is an absolute necessity, the app is far from it. It’s unfortunate, really, because I do like using it. However, the data fetch is so glitchy that it defeats the purpose of sending my wish list off to my shared group. I’m a tad embarrassed that I recommended use of it for my group because everyone within my group has opted out of using the app and desktop. It’s a great concept, but until there’s improvement in user interface and experience, I’m unfortunately looking for another option.

    Insane. It’s a great idea but I just tried to set it up and it’s extremely confusing.

    Account setup failed. Downloaded the app. Clicked new account. Entered name, email and password. Then wasn’t able to enter my birthday in the boxes. I tried several ways to enter the numbers. The app is messed up. Terrible app. It needs to be fixed. Deleting and moving to another one I can actually use.

    Giftster allows you to see who reserved gifts 👎. My family uses Giftster. But, honestly, I’m looking for an alternative. I don’t like how anyone can use the desktop version and see who reserved or purchased their gift. In my opinion, that is a major weakness. There should be a way to turn that feature off.

    Worthless app. Can’t just say what I would like and add a photo. I have to jump through loops to refund said thing and then go through mor loops. To me it’s an absolute wast of time and makes gift giving that much more a “give me what I want” instead of “I really appreciate you thinking about me and what you think I might like”. I would give this app less than a star, but I had to give it something in order to voice my displeasure with this app.

    Target images no longer sync when adding items. I loved this app until the images stopped uploading when adding items from Target. I haven’t been able to use the app since this problem started...

    Not user friendly...difficult to download info. This app was so much more difficult to use than others I’ve tried. It was virtually impossible to download the info I was seeking to list. I quit after the third item. Don’t recommend this one :(

    Awful interface. The app accomplishes it’s intended purpose but not without a fight to try and make it the worst possible experience. It constantly freaks out if given an unexpected command. Say you try and exit out of an entry without saving by accident, the whole screen goes white and you have to restart the app and entry. Constantly signing me out. Constantly freezing and white screening.

    I want this to work so badly. I want this app to succeed. It has so much potential. Unfortunately, with all the crashing and bugs, I hate using it. The only reason I still use it is because my mother in law swears by it.
