   Overpriced Duolingo Knockoff. Paid full year price and so disappointed. No better than free version of Duolingo. Really just feels like a knockoff version.

   Not Worth It. After changing phones my progress was completely erased because apparently the app doesn’t save your progress in an account as many others do. To make it worse, because this useless app does not have a way of skipping lessons, I can’t even manually continue to the lessons I was on. Instead, I have no other option but to start from the beginning doing the boring stuff. I’m beyond frustrated with this app!!!!!!!!

   Missing fundamental, no matter AI or not. Download it coz I would like to learn Cantonese. In the app, never mentioned their Chinese is Mandarin or Cantonese. It is misleading and never trust this app, coz they not able to differentiate Mandarin or Cantonese

   Uneccessary words. It makes the same mistakes as the Duolingo. Useless words and phrases. Belabors some points when a beginning speaker doesn’t need such detail. Frustrating that it doesn’t give basics and provide detail much later. I do like the grammar feature. Also frustrating is multiple ways of saying something in the beginning. SIMPLE IS BEST. “ Is orange juice also tea” What kind of a dumb phrase is this to learn? Real example

   Changes for the worse. When I first bought this, there is an AI conversational feature, then it was made into premium+ feature that costs $5 weekly, feature that was part of my original purchase. With the new revamp, it is worse, now you can’t pick your topic and difficulty. You have to go in order. It still has improper use of the language and detection

   Bugs. Fix your bugs. I’m repeating everything it says to me multiple times and it doesn’t register and then says I didn’t say it resulting in a wrong answer. So annoying. Moving on to another app

    Very disappointing. Native people don’t speak like this. The app gets stuck all the time no matter if you say the word wrong, it tells you said it right sentences are mixed up constantly. It keeps on repeating itself the whole set up is bad you will never improve. I’ve had a lot of different apps thinking this one was a good one. If you wanna learn Spanish the native way this isn’t the way. This is like a robot. Very very disappointed.

    Way better than Duolingo!. So I wanted to learn German because most of my friends knew how to speak three languages but i downloaded Duolingo and it only taught me basic words instead of a higher vocabulary but when I saw falou on YouTube I just knew I had to download it after I downloaded it, it was genuinely better then Duolingo and made me confident on my way of learning German!

    Not all states of America are reviewed. I am learning Scottish and it did not give me an option to learn it! 😒😒😒

    Feel tricked. Purchased annual membership to learn Spanish. Reached out to support multiple times as I can’t go past level 7. Haven’t heard. Anything back went to use there AI tool and it won’t allow me to without 3 more new words that’s not possible as I can’t proceed. As of right now I don’t recommend.

    Teaches Incorrect Grammar. Maybe I am expecting too much, but I assume a language learning app would teach correct grammar. In the Norwegian part of the app, they teach you to say the possessive as follows: it is his cup - det er en kopp hans. THIS IS INCORRECT! Correct grammar is: det er koppen hans. This is something you learn in A1 Norwegian. I’m a fool for paying for the paid version; don’t make the same mistake

    Promising but super buggy. This app seems promising but I’m just a few lessons in and running into way too many technical issues. It keeps asking me to translate (into English) sentences the app should be saying aloud, but instead there is silence! The sound works fine when it offers me a sentence in Dutch and asks me to repeat it, but none of the sentences to translate have audio. How am I supposed to guess out of thin air what it wants me to translate into English? I made the mistake of signing up for a subscription on a whim and am now seeking a refund… will report back on how that goes.

    Money Grab?. So I’ve only had the app about 10 minutes. Initial Price offered was 149.99 for a year auto renewing. I rejected that it came back and then offered a lower price of 59.99 or something like that. I thought about it and then rejected did another quick lesson and then offered me a one time opportunity to sign up for one year for 39.99. I went ahead and accepted that and then it immediately came back and wants to charge me another 19.99 per month to use its AI to validate that my pronunciation is correct. I thought that was included…. Beware of this app and it’s very shady practices.

    Year subscription paid. Lessons gone. Do not recommend Falou.. I paid for a one-year Falou subscription, and now that it has expired I can no longer access any of the content I already paid for. I understand that I may not be able to progress further without renewing, but I should still be able to view and review the material I completed, including my vocabulary lists. Previously, there was a limited amount I could do daily for free, but now I cannot even access the vocabulary section to practice. Had this limitation been clearly disclosed before purchase, I would not have subscribed in the first place. I will not be renewing, and I will be strongly discouraging my fellow language learners from using Falou based on this experience.

    Major voice recognition glitches rendering app useless. This app has major voice recognition issues that unless fixed make it utterly useless. Imagine the frustration. Amazed at the high ratings

    The latest format is terrible!. I’ve had this app for a couple of years now. The app has gone through several changes and the latest version is absolutely terrible. The sentences they ask you to mimic don’t make any sense at all and you can’t choose your own lessons anymore. Don’t know how so many people rate this app so highly!

    No different than Duolingo. Just like Duolingo! At least not impressed with the Italian. Super easy and many of the sentences don’t make sense at all?? This IS NOT conversational learning. Also I’m waiting constantly on the ‘loading’ learn new words screen. Waste of money.

    Read before signing up. Read closely. It wanted a years subscription before i could try it - not a trial run like I thought. App is fast but Malay lessons inaccurate and AI voice intonates incorrectly. I have applied to Apple for a refund. Fingers crossed.
