Outrageous Pricing. App was decent enough, but who wants to pay outrageous subscription prices? $900 a year, for an iPhone app? Who do these people think they are?! There is no app that is worth that to me. I’ve used a lot of them. I am a carpenter/ property manager.

Ruined. You can’t pick the corners of a room manually anymore. This means there is no way to know for sure that you are measuring correctly. All the automation is for nothing. If I scan the same room twice and both times it’s a different sqft it’s worthless. Bring back manual selection of corners. Forget this “select a wall” garbage. Even when I try to get to manually select corners it doesn’t work. This app used to be seamless and excellent. Now it is terribly disappointing. I’m really sad about it. RE the dev response: yeah, I did that. It never worked. The corner line always appeared waaaaaaay up and to the right. As if it totally lost where I was in the space. I.e. I know how to do what you’re describing and it did not work. I could not get the line on screen to pick my corner.

Sucks. My home has cathedral ceilings and insets for fireplace and beams. The app can’t grasp what’s going on and comes up with crazy shapes and doesn’t make it possible to easily edit during the scan. Also if the room has furniture the app gets confused. So basically if you have a perfect box it might work.

Money gouging. Can’t take advantage of core functionality without giving up hundreds of dollars to pay for a subscription. I don’t even plan on using it that much so why would I subscribe? Now I am stuck with no capabilities because of greed. Typically, if you needed a tool, you would purchase it and own it forever till it stops working. Subscriptions? You own nothing and perpetually spend money for something you may hardly use, or use all the time. Subscription models are a huge waste of resources

Nightmare. This is absolutely not intuitive. After 2 hours I have yet to finish the ground floor of a small condo. I managed to graduate medical school, I can program ventilators but MagicPlan is a complete nightmare

LOST ALL MY WORK. I spent an hour scanning an entire home. It was the only time I had to get inside! I just bought the house. At the end of all of the scanning magicplan asked me if I wanted to save the video. I said no. Then magicplan asked me again. Are you sure? I said OK. Then the app proceeded to crash and freeze! I lost all of the scans and had no time left to redo them. Now I have to buy furniture for a house that I don’t know the measurements for thanks to magicplan! Great job!!

Paid $$$ for nothing. Seeing the advertisement for this app and I bought it. $40 per each drawing of the floor plan. The plan also could transfer drawing into 3D perspective. Apparently the app doesn’t do that. Keeps saying it’s not supported in this app. What a refund.

This is NOT free (which is ok… ) but... I have no problem with people working on a product, and charging for it. Just don’t assume you’re getting this for free. I’m 5 min in, and the lack of transparent pricing is going to bug someone. Be up front. It seems to be: -$12.99/mo for basic Or - $25-40 per project if you get a pro plan. (Do your own research to be sure.) The reviews are good, so I’m going forward, and wiser now.

Waste of money. The application freezes too frequently, camera gets stuck and you waste more time trying to figure out how to use than actually using the app. I even upgraded to give it a try and same thing, don’t waste your money

Garbage… no option for scanning. Garbage app terrible UI and unintuitive. Good luck finding the option for scanning. Their help section is also garbage and offers zero info about how to start or scan.

Can't delete projects without paying. It's no longer possible to delete a project without paying for a subscription. I have deleted my subscription and will no longer help out friends or family members with their ideas using this app. The app was never good enough for professional use, and now it's too expensive for casual use. Tinkering with ideas for free and paying once you're ready to make a project happen is the main valid use for this app, IMO, and that's just no longer valid given all the inherent limitations of the app itself and the restrictions imposed on use. It was good while it lasted.

Wasted 30 minutes then App Crashed. I was very excited scanning my entire new house with Lidar thinking this app would be helpful to generate floor plans and 3d model. When I clicked done scanning the app crashed and I lost all the work I had done the last half hour.
