  1. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Not better at all. The user interface is terrible. Outdated and poor design. Font sizes and colors are weird and inconsistent. Does not even support dark mode. But please, pay us $20 every six months for making this terrible app!

  2. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Should be better for $4.99 a month. I like that this habit tracker has nagging alerts but the interface is not very intuitive. The stats does not seem to work I used this for a month and still not statistics. Not worth the 4.99 right now will check on it to see how it develops.

  3. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Desperately Needs to be UPDATED. I’ve been a premium user for over a year now. There’s no doubt about it: its application of Nag Reminders to continuously push you to complete a habit for that day is brilliant. I’m astonished that no other habit app has adopted this feature because it makes a huge difference, especially given how easy it is to ignore a single reminder these days. Where this app falls short though is in staying updated. 1) How can you call yourself a serious habits app when you DON’T have an Apple Watch version? Or a Web App version? This makes it difficult for me to quickly check off my habits when I’m working at my Mac, for example, and my phone is on silent. As a professional, this is a frequent experience. 2) The last update was A YEAR AGO. I don’t understand how you can expect users to trust you when you are barely ensuring the app is optimized for the latest iOS. Because of this I have had to end my subscription and delete Better Habits.

  4. ★★★★data, history or progress disappears

CRASHED!. Several days ago a message popped up about “If you do this it will make your task complete” [or something like that]. Yet I could never get past that window, I had to delete and reinstall the application for it to work again, losing all my history.

  5. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Nag reminder not working. I like the concept of this app but the nag reminder just stopped working out of the blue. It would also be cool to have monthly and yearly Habits

  6. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Crashes. Haven't even gotten to try it.

  7. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Useless. Crashes all the time! Also, either not user-friendly enough to let you adjust a repeating habit, such as having 8 glasses of water a day, or just doesn't have that option at all.

  8. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Waste of time. This app is annoying and does absolutely nothing. It harassed me to watch tips over and over which were in the way of actually being able to do anything with it. The little it says can do does not work. Says to drag habit from one window to the one below to delay and que it buy this does not work. Forget this.

  9. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Not the right app for me. I was looking for an app where I can check off things I want to do on regular basis, and to see record of completion. This app is not suitable for this purpose. It only allows to track three habits, which eventually "go away" once you form them. Since there was no free option to preview the app, I had to buy it to learn that it does not fit for me at all :(

  10. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Nice app. Just wish I didn’t have to pay for premium to do almost everythin.

  11. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Great ideas, but some issues to work on. This app is cleverly designed and promising, but it doesn’t reliably record and track my habits. There’s no way to back up your data in case something goes wrong or you get a new phone and want to transfer your data. The pace of development has also been very slow considering the high costs for the premium membership and the significant limitations on the free version.

  12. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

    Maravero. I didn’t like it.

  13. ★★★★★the daily check-off gesture IS the whole product, if any link (widget, tap, reminder)…

Went nuts on me. This was a great habit tracker at first but then it went crazy on me. It began “reminding” me to track my habit even when I had checked it off for the day and even when I turned off “nag,” then finally turned off reminder altogether. I had 3 habits I was tracking so deleted the habit that went nuts. The next night, habit #2 did the same thing. I finally, say, ended up deleting the whole app. I also noticed that there were days it didn’t track though I pressed them and it also lost stats. So, I couldn’t give it 5 stars (or even close).

  14. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

App hasn’t been updated in 2 years!. I like the app, but it’s disappointing that I’m paying for an annual subscription and now the home screen widget (the feature I use the most) doesn’t work because the developer doesn’t seem to be making any updates to the app anymore. Not sure what I am paying for?

  15. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

It’s fine. I can’t see paying for what it does, but I do like the mastery bar. Design is clunky. Nothing too exciting about it.

  16. ★★★★★mixed experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Pretty good. I just started using the app and I think it is useful.

  17. ★★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Crashes. I was excited to use this app for 2017 goals, but after 5 minutes the app crashed and won't open. I'm going to hold on to it with the hope the developer will fix.

  18. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Better habits. I like the app but I can’t figure out how to do simple things like delete a habit.

  19. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Love the app. I love the soothing colors and the little sounds it makes when you complete a habit for the day. You have the ability to make your own habits, picking a color, picture icon, and difficulty. You can go premium where it shows all of your habits on active display or keep it free where it only shows 3 habits on active display and the rest of the habits are queued. However, when you completely finish a habit, the app crashes. It also crashes when you try to delete a habit, it can get frustrating. Otherwise a great app for creating good habits.

  20. ★★★★clear and easy workflow

Amazing. Great interface. I like how simple and straightforward it is. Only complaint is the lack of a dark mode.

  21. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Good. Loved the original version. Less excited about the changes with the new version. The concept and function are still great, just don’t like the new icons. Seem kind of tacky.

Probably a Killer App, I’ll Find Out. EDIT: I WAS RIGHT! It was user error. I set all the settings correctly in the app, but had disallowed notifications in Settings>Notifications>Better Habits... I may be back to bump to 5 stars... lemme use it first... Later same day... All my editorializing today has been after the daily reminders; I just saw a “2” badge on the app icon; I searched every menu option I can find and cannot find the source of the red 2 on my dock app icon... ************************************************ (Original Post) It is probably user error. I’ve had the app for two or more months. I thought I set reminders in the beginning, but I’ve never been reminded. Being reminded and tracking actual behavior is why I bought the app. This morning I was looking at the apps in my iPhone 7 Plus dock. The fourth one was a blue icon with what looked like a mountain range on it. I clicked it. It’s this app. I recalled getting it and the zero assistance provided and began this review. I’m not a newbie and also have a Series 3 Apple Watch. If the developer follows these reviews, I may find that I am up and running in no time. In that case, my revision may include 5 stars. I love the concept. Help me make it work.

  23. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Hope the habits can be repeated in any time. The app is so great and the animations are so amazing, but if the habits could be repeated in some time as set that would be better.

  24. ★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

Good Reminder. This keeps you on your toes. As it is this is better at keeping you do good things like eating vegetables or going to sleep at a certain time. Alas the flip side of a good deed is usually a bad habit avoided such as not drinking alcohol. I wish the app were a little better formulated to induce me to stop doing bad things rather than to try to get me to start good habits.

  25. ★★★★★a visual reward (a filling grid, an unbroken chain) holds harder than any gamification

Straightforward and helpful!!. I love how the app is very simple and straightforward about settling and maintaining goals! It hones in on the fundamentals of habits and helps you see your progress. It even lets you do a repeating habit multiple times a day, like drinking multiple bottles of water.

  26. ★★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

    Split decisions. Awesome

GROUNDBREAKING. I’ve tried literally every habit tracking app in the App Store & this is a complete flexx 💪🏼 on all of them. Building a habit is more than just a consecutive streak for 30 days. A real true habit that is automatic to us often takes 90 days tbh so that’s why I love the way the app takes this into account. The only suggestion I can think of is maybe in the area where there are pre-listed habits, to add researched tips on how to best incorporate them. Tips like habit stacking sequences, cues/triggers, significance of environment, peer group, etc. For example if you want to work out daily suggest making new friends who live the gym fitness lifestyle or the daily guitar practice gives specific tip like making sure you have obvious alignment & eliminate friction by placing guitar in the center of the room. It’s really a great app I was kinda shocked how good I put this on the first page of my phone screen - that’s prime real estate ok 😂 👌🏼

Great but needs to be adjustable. I work third shift so half way though my day it starts a new day. I would like there to be an option to be available for third shift workers. I work from 8pm to 8 am so for those that don’t work third shift that’s like the app resetting at 12 pm. I bought a years subscription but I don’t know if it was the. Best choice as I’ve forced to get stuff done in half the time everyone else is.

  29. ★★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

The app I didn’t realize I needed. I thought I had a good handle on keeping up with my habits...Until I started tracking them with this app. Now, I’m able to keep myself accountable throughout the day, and keep track!

  30. ★★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific

I love this app!. This app makes me want to form good habits.
