   I Hate New Update You Are So Greedy. i loved this app for the last 1.5 years, this update killed it for me and im uninstalling. they made it much harder to navigate, forcing you to pay a subscription in order to actually be able to use it. Bye

   Great app awful update. App is fantastic however the latest update is absolutely awful and makes it so much more difficult and less intuitive to use. Roll it back!

   New update fumble. This app was basically perfect before. Now there’s “rules” and “never allowed” and “always allowed” Confusing, each have different options that don’t make any sense. To block adult content, you must go to “apps” block section (why!?) and for some reason these can’t be set “do not block no matter what” like you can with rules… Ruined this app.

   Update needs to be reversed. I had used this app for well over a year now and raved about it to people. Since the update, it’s constantly glitchy and hard to navigate. I cannot find how to pause blocks and generally dislike the new layout. There are many comments regarding the same issues with the update- I don’t understand why they don’t just reverse it and work on improvements in other ways.

   Terrible new update... The app makes my phone overheat now with the newer update and whenever I t tu to take a short break it won’t work after I’ve done the brain games. Miss the old update was so much better and didn’t make my phone overheat.

    Greedy developers ruined an amazing app. I loved this app but recently they updated it so that you have to pay money in order to keep apps blocked, otherwise whenever you go to open a blocked app there is a giant unblock button that removes all friction that this app is supposed to create.

    New Update. I downloaded Opal because they made it more difficult to unblock apps. Then a new update comes and there’s just a single button to press to unblock? That defeats the entire purpose of your app? How do I go back to the previous version

    Stop asking for feedback. I hate the frequent additional of features. I hate that the damn thing changed their user interface. I hate the addition of sounds. I use it daily and I hate the forcing of having to leave feedback.

    Long time user. stop making changes to what’s already working. because it’s literally no longer working. no one cares if a block is called a rule or whatever. no one cares how this app visually looks because the point is to stop looking at your screen. we want the functionality. I have a block for an app after 45 mins but I was able to be on it for 3 hours today. this isn’t the first time and I shouldn’t have to reset my blocks for your creation to work.

    Summer 2026 Update Has Ruined This App!. I used to recommend this app to everyone. I’ve been a paid user for three years now. However, they recently released a new update that radically changed, not only the graphic user interface, but also the actual functionality. I cannot find the features that I used to rely so heavily on, and there is no option to end a session early, even if you had set it up under that parameter before. This is a total dealbreaker for me, unfortunately, as I like to block certain apps every day, but might unexpectedly need to get to them for work or emergencies.. This has effectively made the app useless to me. I could not be more disappointed. Such terrible customer service.

    Opal review. I hate Opal, so much it’s the worst app that I’ve ever had and for some reason it won’t let me delete it. I’m mad because it won’t let me delete it and I want it off.

    New update glitching bad. The newest updates of the app where they revamped everything does not work. I open the app and I cannot scroll or click on any features, the screen stays frozen the entire time. If it does work, it takes forever and lags behind what I’m doing. Loved the app before these updates but I am not debating deleting it due to lack of usability

    Update ruined a great app. Suuuuch a terrible update. Widgets are broken, you can’t take breaks from sessions, sessions themselves are broken cuz now we just have the weird timer thing, no brain games to take breaks, no update of hours focused… it’s so bad now

    App became glitchy after update. I used this app everyday I had a streak of 200 It helped me with my ADHD yet after it updated, my phone started glitching and wouldn’t work. Disappointed to say the least 🫤

    What’s going on with the new update ?!?!. I’ve been using this app for over a year and I would have given 5 starts BUT the new update is awful. So much of my progress is lost, it keeps asking me the start up questions, some of the settings are gone everything moved around. It’s super frustrating. Tried chatting support and it’s an AI bot that’s not helpful, says a human would respond on 2 days but that didn’t happen either.

    Loved it until the update. I've been using Opal for a year now and loved it initially because it did actually get my screen time down. However, the app has slowly ruined itself. Each update changed the user interface for the worse or removed a feature completely. However, this recent version has completely broken the app. I cannot edit rules I set months ago without paying. Even if I don't change anything and hit to confirm my updated, the "free trial" screen pops up with zero way to close it besides fully exiting the app. Not to mention, there's no longer a "vacation" button or the ability to reset unlocks or even edit the rule after you run out of unlocks. This is extremely frustrating as a long-time user and wish the developers would go back to what worked.

    New Update. Basically made the app as useless as the normal apple screen time. Easy to bypass, and completely blocked by a paywall. Cheap, slimy move by the developers to get you to pay for a basic app function. Really disappointing.
