Pale skin is default for emojis. Huge turn off for myself and others who have tan skin. This app does not let you change skin colour of the emojis either. In other apps you can long press hold to swap emojis out for a different skin colour and that’s not an option here. This is why apps use the default yellow skin versus pale Caucasian skin. While it’s not great that is more inclusive than just making Caucasian the default. My review will remain 1 star until I see some sort of remedy for this as this was very offensive for my user experience to not be able to change emojis to represent myself in my own routine.

Outrageously priced. Heading said In App Purchase , but the truth is you get one week then it’s $36 a year . F that . Deleted

Malicious site! DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP!. The protection I use on my iPhone picked up this site as having malicious activity… TWICE! I REPEAT… DO NOT INSTALL!

Update. I used to use this app every day and I loved it. That was until the update. Now I can’t move my tasks around. If I try to move one up it just makes it skipped. 0/10
- ★★★★★an update broke a familiar workflow
New update made this app unusable. I’ve been using this app for years and I love it, I guess I should say loved it. The new update took away the ability to bounce to different tasks when plans change, so if you try to skip to a step that wasn’t originally the next step, it crosses everything in between off your to-do list, even though you just wanted to do something in a different order. Would’ve given us out five stars in the past because it has been so helpful to my life, but now I’m gonna have to find something else and I would recommend that if you sometimes have unexpected changes in your schedule, you should too. I’m so mad I had an automatic updates because now this app that has been so helpful to my life is ruined

My opinion on this app. It was good, but you have to pay for it and it was kind of weird to like make a routine

Why. I put one star bc their is kids like me showing their face profile and others can see!

Gone downhill.. Recently I’ve had a really terrible experience with this app. It never works right for me. The voice settings randomly switch back and forth from beeps to voice, sometimes it will give me “five minutes until”, sometimes not…the whole point of this app is to make it effortless to help with my routines. I literally spent an entire “routine” trying to adjust my settings on my iPhone, accessibility, widgets, enabled notifications, making sure everything is updated, checking that I wasn’t on “focus” mode…. Nothing worked. The voice alarm settings are wildly inconsistent. Even if there is something I’m missing, I shouldn’t have to go on a whole wild goose chase through my phone. I held off writing this review because I wanted to make sure I was being fair and it wasn’t something I was doing on my end but…literally the voice settings change within the same routine, even if I delete the history and run it again, they will be wildly different the second time around. Awful. If you have ADHD and are looking for a helper app, this is not the one. It has sabotaged me multiple times this week. Which is sad, because it used to work great.

Best Routine App!!. This app is simply the best routine app. I use it for 5+ routines and it enables me to seamlessly reach any goal I have for myself. I couldn’t be happier with the app and can’t believe it’s not way more popular. EDIT: Bug from latest update completely shifted my Morning Routine to a version from months ago and unable to reinstate the correct version that’s saved to analytics memory (from pre-update) since it doesn’t even show the full description of each item (cuts them off). Not to mention fixing it that way would take hours of my time. Please help fix the bug or simply help me revert my routine back to the pre-update version. TLDR: Issue from Update to Version 3.29.19 on iOS 26.3.

Extremely glitchy. App has been great over the years. I’ve been using it for a while right now and for the past month it’s been extremely glitchy every time I open the app. It says “Routinery is getting an update” even though I’ve already given in an update and there’s no updates in the App Store ,and I have to consistently restart in order to actually get the app to start. Even after updates, the app is still taking an impressively long time to load every time you need to do a routine. It is absolutely ridiculous. I’m not sure who the coders are for this app, but they’re not doing a good
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Not a free app. Just warning everyone - another app that requires a subscription to use anything. Wish they could disclose things like this before you download!

(Edited) please fix!. I’ve been using the app daily for over a year, but it is glitching constantly now. Every day it tells me that I’ve already completed my routine when I first open it. It isn’t tracking anymore. Please fix these bugs!
- ★★★★★trial charges and refunds
Useless app / steals your money. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. DO NOT AGREE TO FREE TRIAL. I downloaded the app after reading the reviews because I wanted something to help add structure to my mornings. I signed up for the 7-day free trial with the understanding that I’d either cancel before the trial ended or be charged after the 7 days. Instead, when I opened the app, it asked me to log in if I already had an account. I entered my email and it said I did have one (I must’ve tried this app a long time ago). The second my login went through, it charged me the full YEAR fee immediately. I did not agree to pay for a full year. I was not warned that logging into an old account would automatically trigger a full annual charge. I never received the free trial I signed up for — I was charged without my approval. I contacted Apple for a refund literally within minutes of the charge (my bank alerted me almost instantly), and they still refused to refund it even after I explained exactly what happened. The app is still as useless as it was the first time I tried it — except now I’m forced to pay for a full year of something I don’t want and won’t use, and no one will reimburse me. This is NOT a case of me forgetting to cancel after the trial. I was charged immediately without consent because I logged into an old account. Misleading and shady. Save your money. Use Apple Reminders or an app like TickTick instead. DO NOT download.

Cancel. How do I cancel and get my money back
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Beware of deceptive deals. They had a deal, one free year. In my subscriptions it said that it would not charge until December 2026. They did not honor that and charged December 2025. Deceptive and misleading offer.
- ★★★★★trial charges and refunds
Predatory. Set an alarm after for the day of the end of free trial, as I always do . Didn’t enjoy and went to cancel. It ALREADY CHARGED ME. Don’t use. I don’t know when it decided to renew itself but it was early!!!
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Impossible to cancel subscription- do not sign up. This app makes it impossible to cancel your subscription. When you click “ cancel membership”, it presents a “benefits” button and nothing else. When clicking, it leads you to a payment prompt. Not worth a headache.
- ★★★★★ads disrupt the experience
Must pay or spammed w ads. Very glitchy. I can only have two routines and if I want to archive, it won’t give me that option. I have to either watch the ad or subscribe and I don’t want to do either. I want to just archive it and it’s forcing me to watch an ad this app used to be great and now it’s forcing me to uninstall and find an alternative (like Sunsama 10/10)
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
So many ads. Gave this app a shot, but even on the premium version I am bombarded with ads that you have to watch if you want to use any part of the app.

terrifying voice assistant. the voice assistant has been changed from a normal voice to the most terrifying robot voice i’ve ever heard. i turned it off and will never use it again, it’s horrible

Very annoying to use. The app is bloated with unnecessary features like social feeds and analytics. I wanted a straightforward habit tracker, not a lifestyle management tool. Its main function—creating habits with timed checklists—sounds good in theory, but in practice it’s rigid. I often multitask or switch the order of habits, which means constant reorganization. The timers create pressure instead of structure, and the voice prompts are intrusive. The checklist system is the only redeeming feature, but even that lacks basic usability. There’s no quick “reset all” option, and notes for tasks are buried inside menus instead of being visible in the list view. The layout is poor. On iPhone it wastes space with oversized design elements, and on larger Android screens it looks cramped and unoptimized. Overall, the experience feels inefficient and overdesigned. If you just want a clean, flexible daily routine tracker, avoid this one. Todoist and Apple Reminders are better, but Todoist can get cluttered and Reminders doesn’t sync well with Android. This app tries to do everything and ends up doing nothing well.

Terrible!. I hate this app so much because it is just the worst happening in the entire world. It literally makes everything cost money. I do not get this app. I hate it so much and you will too. I promise I’ve told some of my friends to get it and then we all get it and then we realize it’s terrible. I do not get it. It’s the worst I’ve ever.

It won’t let me past the “allow notifications” page. Tried everything, restarting app, checking to make sure I allowed notifications and the black button that says “Turn on Notifications” won’t work
- ★★★★★slow performance and long loading times
Battery drain & overheating. In its current state this app is unusable. Within minutes of launch, my iPhone Air overheats to insane levels to the point that I need to force quit the app. Hoping they can fix this with an update soon as it’s a great app otherwise!

Stop making useless changes. It was perfect the way it is, but you just have to make these useless UI changes to justify your existence. The tab bar is now super slim and overlap with the home indicator. And there is no checkmark after a routine is completed. And yeah, the ad section is bigger than the routine section now. I regret every time I tap on the update button.

Can’t decide what aspect landscape or portrait. Tricks you into a non-refundable purchase. I hate this app. I deleted it off my tablet even though I paid for it and can’t get a refund. It’s just that great.

Seeming like an off experience. I didn’t like the fonts and the aesthetics initially. But the process seemed intuitive but then, after a couple of hours, when i opened the app again, my login is gone, i tried logging in again and the system was treating me a completely new account, I tried signing in with my email id and it signed me in as a completely new individual who never had an account let alone the subscription. I quit out of the app and signed in and my account shows up but my details don’t. This is my day one with the app and I’m already considering cancelling my subscription.

Buyers Beware- they trick you. Did the free trial and thought it’s not worth it so I canceled. They came back and offered a budget sale, 50% off. So I reconsidered and agreed. Little did I know it was for next year and charged me the full price for this year. Now I am stuck in an app for 2 years that I don’t think is worth the price. Buyer

Danger to Minors. This app includes a “social” tab. I input my age as I am an adult. Unsolicited, the first post in the feed was of a female, 17. Next was a male 16. Very disturbing they allow minors and adults in the same “social setting”. Not even sure why a routines app has a social network built in. Parents please tell your children to avoid this app.

Payment. it doesnt let you add alot of things to your routine without a member ship.
