   Worst app ever. I have learned so many words and and put a lot of effort everyday to improve my English. But suddenly because ot their stupid windows app all my progress is gone. All the learned words and my streak is gone. I contact the support but they just said they are sorry that’s it. WTF! DO NOT INSTALL!

   Annoying Robotic voice. the app constantly regresses from normal male or female voice to annoying robotic one. relaunching the app fixes it for a short time - a few words in the learn section, and then again the robotic voice kicks in. I’ll update the review once you fix the problem

   Bugs not fixed over 3 days. It has bugs, clicking the play button but there’s no sound being play for almost every word. And their “report a bug” screen has a bug so that your bug would never been successfully submitted

   New update is really bad. I used to love this app, but now with update I hate it. It lost all its features that made fall in love with it. And I can’t even review 5 words without being shown an annoying add. Don’t like AI images at all, and also they are absolutely unrelated to the word.

    Irrelevant and Distracting use of AI Images. Could not even learn a new word without being shown a plethora of hideous AI images, some of which had nothing to do with the vocabulary words at all. Not only did the ugly unrelated images completely take me out of the learning experience, The use of AI is contributing to the waste of energy and resources on earth! If this app were to become usable I would say they need to hire a human artist or at least use real relevant images to teach the meaning of words. Some words don’t need a picture as well. For non native english speakers The irrelevant images could even cause confusion about what a word really means. Quality over quantity of images should be considered.

    Very slow and no sound. I purchased the app for two months. It runs very slowly. I’ve reported the issue two times but I don't receive any response and the issue is still on. Today it suddenly lost its sound and I can't use it anymore! Never purchase!

    Charged but no access to pro features. I was charged $49.99 on October 5th (accident charge and no free trial any more because I had downloaded this app before). Even though they charged me, my account is still a normal account without pro features. Asked apple to refund and they said it is ineligible. Emailed to WordUp support team but no response…

    Scammers. I got 7 days FREE TRIAL unsubscribe an the next day ! Today I got a message from my Apple Pay that they charge me 9.99 for a month! Contacted my bank for full refund ! Stay away they will charge even you unsubscribe during free trial period ! Scammers

    They don't recognize my subscription. I paid for a one-year subscription in advance, and suddenly, the app does not recognize my profile and premium account. I sent multiple messages to customer service and have not received an answer. I’m frustrated and disappointed.

    Payment system is terrible. It's a good app if you pay for a Pro subscription. The problem is that the payment system is terrible. I'm paying for a monthly subscription, but it won't let me use it; the message that I need to pay for a Pro account keeps appearing, even though I've already been charged for two subscriptions. This app is an interesting proposal, but I think it's quite a bit more expensive than other simpler apps that serve the same function.

    Stop harassing your users!. The app itself is very good but the developers tend to make the experience for not-paid users unbearable with each update. How about you work on your premium features in order to motivate people to buy your subscription instead of making the free version unbearable and annoying.

    Great app with great idea, but frequent crashes. I've been using this app for months, and it has significantly helped me expand my vocabulary, prompting me to purchase the premium version. However, it crashes frequently, requiring me to clear the app's cache twice a day to keep it functional. Technical suggestion: Implement NSCache to prevent memory overflow.

    Crash. I'm using the premium version of the app on iOS 17.5.1 (the latest version of iOS). When I am working with the app and while i'm reviewing the words, the app closes suddenly. I have had this problem since last week and it still hasn't been fixed. Update: thanks for your answer. When will the program be updated and the problem will be fixed? I haven't been able to use it for about a month, and it's to my detriment as a premium user.

    Great app, dev team needs to test more before version updates. July 10, 2024: app still crashes, I am not able to use it since may. Loved the app while it worked. Dropping down to 1 star as the developers keep promising a fix without results. This is also not the first time it happened - if someone is considering a paid version be aware of potential downtime. (iPhone 14 OS17.5.1). Jun 24, 2024: It’s been now a month that app crashes on start. I reinstalled a few times, there has been an update meanwhile but that didn’t fix anything. Iphone 14, latest OS - app crashes on loading. I was just about to update to premium but app started to crash on load, this happened before a few months ago. It’s been over a week without a fix.

    Clearly written by non English native speakers. The app is incredibly buggy. It doesn’t let you review your words whenever you want and it doesn’t let you start learning a new word right now. Many of the first definitions shown are the 2nd or 3rd most common use of a word which makes you scroll to find the most common usage of the word. The ai bot speaking the words is horrible and can’t pronounce many words. It doesn’t actually challenge you to learn with recall which is the true way to tell if you have actually learned something.
